Wk1 - Same great start as Strawberry Nuggs. Dropped the seed in water, put it on a germination mat, and then covered it so it would be dark.
Day 4 - roots are coming out of the side of the seed pod.
Day 5 - Repotted into her permanent home - 5 gal Fabric pot. She was pretty tall, and lanky so I had to bury a little so only about an inch of her was out of the soil.
Week 2: She's a little smaller than her sister, Strawberry Nug but she seems healthy. I also put a dome on her because the humidity is so low and she seems to like it.
Watering/Feeding small amounts since she's still so young. When I water, I'll water around the dome, trying to let the roots seek out the water.
Week3: Well I think FS is doing ok. She has either some interesting coloring coming out or showing some weird deficiency. I think it's coloring - the leaves sort of look like I spilled some grape juice on it and it stained the green leaves a little.
Day 20 - I attempted to FIM. So I either succeeded or I ended up topping her.
Week 4: Well my attempt at FIM-ing was a fail, because I think I ended up topping her - oh well. The topping slowed her growth for a couple of days, however, she's bouncing back now. Besides being small, i think she's doing fine. I see a white pistil here and there sh I think she's going to be in flower next week. Hopefully she'll stretch a lot!
Week 5: Forum Stomper seems to want to veg a little longer; she seems like she's in pre-flower showing pistils here and there but unlike her Strawberry Nugget sister, she's not ready yet.
We shall see next week! Thanks for looking!
Last Day Wk 5: I trimmed her up a bit more, trying to get more light distributed to the spread out potential colas.
Week 6: She's in flower and stretching like crazy! I've been defoliating and LST-ing to get as much light as possible to the flowering areas and she seems to like it!
The stretch is real! I'm always happily surprised and impressed with how much these plants stretch and grow during the flowering stage.
Week 7: She's still stretching and I've been trying to keep up with the LST to spread her out as much as possible and exposing the small bud sites. There is a good handful of larger Colas but still hoping those smaller ones will get a bit bigger so I won't end up with mostly (popcorn) nuggets.
She's doing well but I think I have a cal-mag deficiency showing up. I have to up the cal-mag on her. I think it's because of the explosion of buds this week and their fast rate of growth.
Week 8: Everything seems to be on auto-pilot now. Feeding 1x- 2x per week and this gal seems to be happily growing. The buds are building up and fattening. She probably has another month to go! Happy growing!
Week 9: I can see the appeal of automatic flowers, especially if you have these genetics and your grow dialed in because they can yield a few ounces in a very quick time frame.
She started showing a bit of deficiency, rust spots on leaves here and there, I think it was cal-mag deficiency and I think I resolved it. This girl probably has another three weeks to go.
It will be interesting to compare her to fast bud's GSC after they both cure!
Thanks for stopping by and Happy Growing!
Week 10: I thought I made a mistake by topping her but it really worked out well because she's much larger than I thought she would end up. She's frosty as heck and the buds keep fattening. Even though Mephisto has the Forum Stomper as 65-75 days, because I topped her, she has a couple of more weeks (2-3) to go unlike Strawberry which has probably another week or week and a half. Happy Growing, friends!
Week 11: The frost level on this lady is unbelievable! The trichome heads have heads. I thought I was seeing things, meaning I needed my eye sight checked or something when I looked through my mini microscope but there were many like that. The trichome bulbs have another bulb on top of it - crazy!
I thought she would go longer than Strawberry but I was wrong, she's right on time. This one will also get chopped this weekend at 11.5 weeks (80th day). Happy Growing!
As with the other grows, the weight of the end product is a reflection on me more than genetics since so many other growers can yield a lot more. I have to dial in my set up, feeding, and light distance.
They are sitting in jars with a Boveda 62 pack.
