Humb.Seed.Co.Donutz (Diploid) 2024

Stony_German Tag 13 From seed to shot glass. I guess I'm unlucky, one seed is growing poorly but only after it opened its cotyledons. The pots are neither overwatered nor too dry. Could it be the potting soil?? But then why just one? Is it a virus? I had a few fungus gnats, but I doubt the larvae could be there in such high numbers so quickly. Anyway, I repotted them today into good soil and added another 10% perlite. Canna Terra Bio is one of the best soils on the market and it also has a COCO peat mix, so it has good drainage even without perlite. Now I'm waiting to see if I can fill the tent with all 3 or just 2 in the end. I was also considering starting over with something else to avoid wasting more weeks in the worst case. Luckily, I had a fat harvest that is enough for me. Now let's see how the little divas develop in this Aircole pot; they need to step it up next week or else 😈 I’ll kill everything..

Stony_German Tag 14 end of week 2. Veg. Exactly 3 weeks ago, the seeds went into the glass. Because of the problem child, I panicked and added a Blueberry Cupcake, which is 14 days behind, but with its huge stretch, it can catch up if the problem Donutz doesn't manage to develop normally. One Donutz has only developed on one side at the 5 leaf nodes, which I hope doesn't happen again. The 7 leaf node looks normal again. Everything but a normal start, but this wouldn't be the first time that everything starts off worse. I will probably top the 2 larger Donutz next week. So far so good, there's nothing to do at the moment, and as you can see, even experienced growers get panic attacks that are unfounded because in the worst case, I could have filled the tent with just 2 Donutz.

Stony_German Day 21 veg. end of week 3. Donutz I put today in 20l pots 3 days after the topping and the other 2 will go into 12l when they're ready and will probably just be trained. For soil, I used the rest of Canna Bio Terra with about 10% perlite. The other 2 will then go into BioBizz + 10% perlite. Dynomyko and Grat White as always so that the microbial life can start right away. Day 23 veg. The slow one has been put in a 12-liter pot with 3g/l GHS Feeding Biogrow mixed in with the soil during repotting and is finally getting out of toddler pace. I won't top her like her 2 big sisters, which I still need to consider for the flowering Cupcake.

Stony_German Tag 28 Veg for the 3 Doutz and Tag 10 Veg for the Bl. Cupcake, the girls look good like me, but with the 2 bigger ones, I see the purple side shoots and leaf stems, I don't know, and I've had the last 5 - 6 grows all the same except for the soil, I'm 99% sure about that. I've always used Biobizz lightmix in early veg without problems. Because of the legalization, everything was sold out, and I took seedling soil from Amazon and put them in canna Bio Terra, which wasn't the best idea. I find the canna soil great because of the coco - peat mix, but it's meant for the final pot. The Bl. Cupcake, which is back in Biobizz soil, is running smoothly again without problems. Everyone reading this report can avoid this mistake.

Stony_German Tag 35 veg. I also gave the smaller Donutz a topping. It really picked up pace when it was repotted. I’ll do that in a few days when the 5th node on the Blueberry Cupcake is clearly visible. I like to leave a few millimeters above the side shoots from the main stem. This way, nothing splits during the training of the 2 new main shoots. The girls are drinking a lot, and with 26°C and 75% humidity, they have the best veg climate. I’m going away in a week for 5 days and will do some heavy defoliation and lollipopping on the day of departure. Unfortunately, my wife won’t be there either, and I don’t want to bother anyone. Due to this high stress, the plants will drink less because they need to recover for 1-2 days first. It’s not ideal, but they’ll manage. Tag 20 for the Bl. Cupcake topped after the 5th node. It’s stretching a lot and hopefully, in the end, it will be like the others in terms of height.

Stony_German Tag 42 veg. Donutz and Day 30 for the Bl. Cupcake Today there was some lollipopping and a good dose of Enhancer and Microbes. The seaweed extract and the humic and fulvic acids help against the high stress. Tomorrow, I will water heavily again for the 5 days until I’m back from my business trip. Since the girls will recover from the stress, hopefully, they will have enough water for those 5 days. I’ll be back on Wednesday, and then the flowering will be initiated very slowly after this recovery phase. Every day from 6 PM, the light will be reduced by 1 hour until the ladies get their 12h/12h. New studies say that this way, there are even fewer chances of them herming / becoming hermaphrodites. When the 12/12h is reached, all the ladies will get 4g/l of their beloved Greenhouse Feeding Bloom fertilizer as a topdress with some worm humus. During the stretch, the room will also be completely filled. Let’s see how strong the stretch will be.

Stony_German Last week veg. I gave 15 hours of light for 3 days and starting tomorrow at the end of week 7, I'll switch to 12/12. The Blueberry Muffin is really having an explosive grow, it's incredible how fast it's growing. I'm slowly getting worried if the stretch is going to be that extreme too. Well, they say it's for advanced growers, so it would be sad if I couldn't tame this monster either. For the fungus gnats, I've now ordered SF nematodes; my wife complains about every fly she sees. 😂 Thanks for the visit and see you next week when the flowering finally starts.

Stony_German Tag 7 flowering. The stretch is fully on. To control some branches, I’ve attached a few bud clips. In the next 14 days, it’s all about watering well and praying that the height of the ladies doesn’t get out of hand. The Blueberry Cupcake worries me; the growth can really be described as explosive, and I’m sure I’ll have to fight with it here. The Donutz have similar growth and have nicely filled the space in the scrog. Unfortunately, the weather outside is warm and very humid, which isn’t a problem yet, but I will be extreme lollipopping around day 21.

Stony_German Tag 14 Bloom. WTF the stretch is massive and could stop anytime. I can still raise the back LED by 25 cm because the carbon filter is in the way. The front can still go up 35 cm, then it gets problematic. Today they got a compost tea with extra P+K 5-8 and sugar from Orgatrex. They love this Bio Tabs Booster compost tea, and you can really see how they react to it. Next week, a stronger lollipopping will be done for airflow and less humidity. Donutz#3 is starting to form trichomes very early. That doesn't say much, but I love it. In my experience, those are always very frosty buds. 🙏

Stony_German Tag 21 Flowering: It's Friday again and time for an update. The stretch has stopped, it was about time. The buds have taken shape and the resin has started. It's actually still very early for this beautiful frost formation. A great genetic so far, but the stretch is harder to control than I thought. I don't have much space left for the LED in the front up top, but it should just fit. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 The leaf tips are showing me that I'm at max with the nutrients, so the BioTabs P+K Booster Compost Tea is being brewed with Gold syrup as a sugar source. Orgatrex has too much nitrogen with 5-1-5 and will only be added again next Compost Tea. The tea has been bubbling for 36 hours now, then each 1/2 liter will get some of the soup. On some leaves, mini-buds are forming in the Bl. Cupcake, which looks strange. I'll keep an eye on them to see if they cut off. Everything is going as usual without major problems. The SF nematodes have nicely killed the fungus gnats too. I'll water the remaining ones before they die in the fridge. Unfortunately, they don't last long, but they will keep these pests under control until the end of the grow. 😎

Stony_German Flowering Day 28: As always, it's Friday and everything is running smoothly, and the fungus gnats have been eliminated by the SF nematodes. This morning, I used the Greenhouse Feeding Bio Enhancer, and the ladies really love it so far. Frost is also starting to come in nicely, and the smell is getting stronger. 2 Donutz phenos look very similar, but the 3rd isn't totally different, just a little more stretch. The Blueberry Cupcake already smells fruity, which I'm particularly excited about since there's so much positive feedback. Summer is not doing what I want at all. The humidity is always a bit too much for my taste. But I've always been an airflow psycho. There are now 3 fans in the canopy and a big box fan underneath. Yeah, I know you can always go overboard 😏

Stony_German Flowering Day 35. And it's Friday again, the day of my weekly updates. Everything is on cruise control. The 20L pots get 2-2.5L of water every 2 days, and the 12L pots need to be watered with 1.25L every day. They didn't seem to like the Compost Tea this time. On some leaves, you can see that the soil life is dissolving too many nutrients, showing very slight burn on the leaf tips. So I'm skipping the tea for now. But that's no drama in week 5. As for the frost, the Blueberry Cupcake is the front-runner despite the smaller mutations with the mini buds on some leaves. Thanks for following my grow, and see you next Friday, my grow bros.

Stony_German Tag 42 flowering. And it's Friday again, and the phase has begun where the buds are now becoming dense and heavy after growing in size. They will also get a P+K booster compost tea one last time so the microbes can push again. You can also see that the pistils are sprouting again, and the buds are getting frostier and frostier. The Blueberry Cupcake is turning a beautiful delicate red-purple; I love the colors, but I'm a bit surprised by the heat, though in a positive way. Also, the water consumption has increased a bit again, and they are drinking 1.5 liters, while those in 12l pots are getting 1 liter daily.

Stony_German Tag 49 flowering and it's Friday, update day again. Having trouble maintaining the VPD. Due to the heat and recently extreme humidity this summer, my VPD fluctuates from 1.5 to 1.8, rarely hitting 2.0. That's what I'm struggling with the most right now. They received the last dose of P+K 5-8 and Enhancer, and again Great White Microbes; now there’s no more food until harvest. The buds are getting denser and heavier. The whole apartment stinks despite the activated carbon filter. Just opening the tent for 5 minutes to water is enough. Man, I'm so glad it's finally legal and we don't have to panic. The Blueberry Cupcake is getting some really nice purple colors, just beautiful. One Donutz in the back right probably needs a few more days, but maybe it will speed up a bit. As for frost, the Bl. Cupcake is still the joker, but the Donutz are also getting noticeably frostier now. I think in the end, all 4 ladies will be a delicacy. HSC knows how to breed top seeds. I'm expecting 2 weeks until harvest; I'll start checking the trichomes daily in a few days. Next week, the new seeds will go into the soil while mine are just about to harvest and then drying. I got a small 26W grow LED specifically for this and took up part of the closet for 25 days. My house dragon didn't even complain. I love her just a little bit more now. This way, I save 3 weeks on each grow. That's almost one more grow a year.

Stony_German Tag 55 Flowering Normally, the reports come out every Friday, but we're heading out tomorrow until Sunday evening for a short trip to a grow shop birthday event. Greetings to Garten Eden. I've checked the trichomes, but there's still a lot of clear, and I'm expecting 10 to 14 days. Tomorrow, the ladies will be heavily watered, and the little ones will have a 2-day dry stress until we're back, which is good for resin production anyway. There's nothing more to do except make sure they get enough water. The ladies are still drinking 1.25 to 1.5 liters daily. The smell is crazy. The Donutz don't have any fruit or candy notes but the described dessert terps that I associate with GSC and Wedding Cake, and of course, there's a strong gassy aroma coming through. The Bl. Cupcake, on the other hand, is totally fruity—no orange terps but blueberry, blackcurrant, citrus—really hard to describe and super gassy.

Stony_German Tag 63 Flowering: The trichomes are still too clear and need a few more days. The smell is getting more intense. In 4-5 days, the temperatures will drop to 16-18, which would be perfect if I could harvest then and extend the drying process. Right now, we’re at 28, so way too warm without air conditioning. The next report will be on harvest day, whenever that is. After all the comments, I took a full round of Budporn photos for you. I hope you like it.

Stony_German This beauty dried as a whole plant for almost a perfect 12 days at 17-18°C and a humidity level between 58-60%, and it has developed a beautiful scarlet-reddish-purple color. The buds are very frosty, sticky as hell, and the terps are the best part of it all. Gas, then gas, and more gas with sour currant/blueberry fruits. I could even suspect raspberry. Very complex, and the flavor is already amazing, but after 4 weeks of cure, I'll update this again in more detail.

Stony_German After 12 days of drying at 17-18°C and 58-60% humidity, we have potent, rock-hard buds. Mild smoke that doesn't scratch but hits the lungs hard. More of an evening strain for watching TV, but I'll update after a 4-week cure in Grove Bags.
