I'm starting my second grow ever with Kush 'N' Cookies, strain which seems not to be very well known but declared properties sounds more than promising. In short, it should be 1:1 strain with ~20% both THC and CBD. See the photo with packaging info... Even the seedbank "Garden Of Green" is not yet on the list here on GrowDiaries (as of today Nov 20, 2018). - In case of interest: https://gardenofgreen.eu/shop/cbd-medical/kushncookies-cbd/ To the grow itself, if both seedlings turn out to be strong and healthy, I'll try to grow both but otherwise I am prepared to keep only the stronger one. Let's wait and decide based on their progress. Also, I'm quite curious if different size and texture of the seeds will actually result in any difference in how fast they grow up or in the plant structure once they grow up, maybe a different phenotypes(?). I'll try to keep you updated. Day 4 - I can finally see them rising from their jiffy beds Day 5 - And here they are, two happy little seedlings :)

This week I'll transplant both seedlings into pots as they are looking good/healthy and there is no obvious winner. My plan is to put them close to one side of the pot and train them to grow in direction to the opposite one. I'm very limited in space so I have to figure out how to use it. There is a new soil prepared in the final pots so I don't plan to feed them with any nutrients for at least first 2-3 weeks. Will add some photos once they are transplanted but I don't expect much this week. The next one should be more interesting as they settle down and hopefully should start some serious growth. EDIT Day 12 - I've transplanted them into final pots - Smaller seed into 6l and bigger into 12l Two 12l pots would not fit into the pantry and I don't have anything in between... No feeding yet, just watered the soil which should have more than enough nutrients for next 2-3 weeks, especially in the bigger pot.

Both girls seems to be happy in their new pots and started the growth really well. I'm just not completely sure about the BS (bigger seed) one which has something strange with leafs, Like it is not a deficiency or heat stress, they just look like there is something not completely right about the color. The SS one looks really nice though... They have exactly the same environment so it must be genetic...I'll keep an eye on her. For the record - no feeding yet, just tap water.

Both girls are doing great. Thery grow more to the width than height and I am really grateful for that as I'll need to use every single cm of the space. I'm still trying to figure out how to best grow them both in such a small area like 50x50 cm (less than 2x2 feet). Should I keep one growing freely and one lollipop? Any ideas would be welcome!!! For the record, still no feeding - just tap water. Edit Day 26 - adding few new photos, otherwise both girls are doing great

So, here we are in the middle of 5th week since the seeds cracked open and I am so happy about them. Both girls are strong and healthy and if everything goes well, in next two weeks I'll most likely switch to flowering cycle. I also found the reason behind a bit slower growth - light Nitrogen toxicity and more affected seems to be the BS (bigger seed) one. This could be the reason why SS overgrew BS by at least 4 cm but it can be only minor addition to otherwise different phenos because what I found is that while SS is growing more to height, the BS is definitely pushing more energy into lower branches and is getting thicker. I guess that upcoming weeks will be very interesting once the differences between SS and BS will become more visible. EDIT Day 34 - Just had to add one more photo where is nicely visible how bushy are both girls growing, yay! :)

Week 6 of vegetation and I applied some basic LST to both girls... that was a day before I took the photos and as you can see they have already recovered and have their main stem looking back up to the "sun" :) I noticed some tiny yellowing tips of leafs which is weird as I still didn't use ANY nutrient so far. On the other side I'm glad to see there are no signs of Nitrogen toxicity anymore. - it seems that if I use the same soil for next grow, the only nutrients I'll ever need would be the flowering ones. All in all, both girls are doing great. I'll give them a few more days to adapt to the LST and if everything goes well I'll start new year with 12/12 schedule! - I have already prepared Big Bud and Bud Ignitor from Advanced Nutrients 😀

I'm a little bit worried about recent signs of yellowing leaf tips on upper/newer growth which as far as I know are usually signs of nutrient burnt, right? But this is definitely not the case as I didn't feed them with any nut's yet...any ideas, please? See last 2 picts of week 6

hey @butrus , do you know the PH of rain water ? it should be around 5.5 , and with such a PH all the nutrients will become available to the plant eventually. But it does rain less often than you water right ? so actually soil has all the nutrients a plant needs , all you really need in a soil grow is water and light. I see you're not overwatering with that 0.15 L a day (i'm guessing over 7 days) , so the only explanation is that the soil has more nutrients than the plant needs, which is a common thing. cannabis only needs like half the nutrients of other flowers most of the time, so most store bought soils are actually "hot" for the plant. So yeah, you do have nutrient burn. If you're planning on adding more nutrients, what I suggest is to hold off for one more watering, and proceed with a plain water flush next watering - water until run off then go 20% more water than that, squeeze the bags of any excess water and the proceed to feed next watering. Hope this helps growmie ! 🚀

// I'll add # of days in flower to the picts into brackets so 43 (1) = day 43 in general | 1 day in flower So, guys, we are here finally. The time has come to switch to 12/12 flowering light schedule! I know I'm 1 day early but I would not be able to adjust the lights during New years celebrations 😀😀😀 I've also first time added something extra to the tap water, so girls can enjoy the New Year celebration too. It is first time I'm trying Advanced Nutrients additives, so not completely sure what to expect... I started with Bud Ignitor @2ml/l which should be used during week 1 and 2, then I'll follow up with Big Bud during weeks 2, 3 and 4. Nothing more, nothing less! The nutrient burn seems not to be spreading so the flush was a success, but to stay on the safe side I gave the SS plant only like 0.2l of the enhanced water and 0.8l to the BS which didn't show signs of nutrient burn. If everything goes well I'll give both girls full 1l next week. Happy New Year everyone and see you in the 2019!

Starting second week of flowering schedule and girls are slowly getting into it. I've added Big Bud to the mix...well, not that there would be any buds to get bigger yet but whatever :) The last week was going great, but rather boring as there was no major visible development, so I guess they are changing on the inside and preparing for actual flowering. EDIT Day 54 - I found a few signs of issues on SS plant (see picts 6-9 this week), something is not right but not sure what 😳 - Picts 6+7 (trouble #1) are concerning me as this looks like start of a trouble. I found tiny signs of this on a few more leaves.. - Pict 8+9 (trouble #2) I found a couple of yellow leaves and all were the very bottom fan leaves...they died out for some reason. I have to admit that I noticed them getting "pale" compared to upper growth already like 5-6 days ago, but I thought this could be due to less light getting to them. Otherwise the plant looks healthy, new growth is unaffected...and the BS plant seems to be unaffected completely (so far). The only difference is size of their pots, where the troubled SS plant is in smaller pot. Guys do you have any ideas what could be going on here? EDIT Day 55 - to remedy the issues I've added some more nutrients ~2ml/l of both Plagron alga bloom and alga grow. Later today I realized that I have one nice local nutrient called AlgaHumin made of extract of natural vegetation, high content of humic substances, and brown seaweed so I guess I'll finally find a use for it 😎

Week 8, 2 issues 1. some middle fan leaves are getting sick (week 8, pict 6+7 named trouble #1) 2. four bottom fan leaves died out but i think it is too soon (2nd flowering week) for the plants to start consuming energy from leaves (week 8, pict 8+9 named trouble #2) Any ideas?

During this point (the stretch) it's when there plant is most hungry. Both issues relate to deficiencies: the lower yellowing leaves (and the ones that died) are nitrogen deficiency, so you need to give some grow nutes. E leaves with dark patches is a classic sign of phosphorous deficiency and so the plant needs more bloom nutes (or a PK booster). For this point 0.35 EC is too low, at the very least I would give 1.4 EC and even that might be too low.

Week 3 of flowering started with some nutrient deficiency troubles and I had to increase the nutrients dosage. Hope to see my girls get better soon. When I took them out to get the photos, as soon as I touched them I noticed very nice fruity smell on my fingers. It is like orange on steroids! Oh my, if this is going to be the final flavor I'll have a hard time to stay "low" 😂 Otherwise the smell is very weak...

Entering week 4 of flowering and I have to admit that the progress is a bit slower than I would like/expect. Hard to say if it is caused by insufficient light, which might have been enough for veg but it is not ideal/strong enough for flowering, and/or even my fault with insufficient feeding in week 2. Nonetheless, I'm happy with how are the girls doing in general as they are healthy and starting getting some trichomes (best visible on the pict #2, SS detail). Even if the flowering should take a week or two longer due to the above mentioned, and honestly I would bet it will take at least another 6 weeks to finish, I'll be fine with it :) Another thing I'm considering is defoliation but I'm not sure about that as I've never defoliated in flowering and don't want to cause more harm than good. - Any ideas would be welcome!!!

Entering week 5 of flowering and both girls are doing good. Stretch was rather minimal and should be completely over by now so now it is basically the game of waiting...or, is it? No way! 😲 I've unexpectedly received some extra money so I decided to go for a new light (Migro 100 was my final choice) instead of the current cheap "no name" light. Power consumed will remain the same but efficiency should significantly increase and so I hope to get some extra light boost for my girls. Will post an update once I manage to install the light later this week. Till then, take care fellow growers! The new Migro light is finally installed and I have to admit the difference in intensity is huge. Plus the full spectrum is now usable for taking pictures (I've added 2) so I'm glad I decided to make this upgrade. Now let's see if also my girls appreciate it 😎

Starting 6th week of flowering, I'm very happy about both girls as they are getting nicely frosty and something tells me that the seed bank didn't lie about the potency... It actually seems that I'll have to go above recommended feeding because even with 4ml/l of Plagron Alga Bloom + some AlgaHumin, I found several leaves showing signs of deficiencies (e.g. last pict). Unbelievable how hungry they are. I have to feed them otherwise they might end up eating me! 😲 Also, I'm positive about the new light playing role in their recent hunger. With all the additional light power, they probably run faster and consume more than before so I'll have to watch them closely. Happy growing fellow growers!

Starting Week 7 of flowering and girls are doing good. It is also nice to watch the more and more pronounced differences between them. SS is getting more colors and has rather airy buds while BS is sturdy girl with bigger and denser buds. So while I absolutely love the colors of SS, I'm really looking for better yield from BS. For harvest the BS will make like 70% of total bud weight, I'm pretty sure about it but still I love them both 😉 I'm thinking about giving them last feeding this week and harvest during weekend of March 2nd but I'm not yet finally decided about it...will see when I get closer to end of this week.

So the 8th week of flowering is here and there was actually not much happening lately. But still I have some nice pictures for you 😎 Both girls are maturing and they are slowly consuming their old bottom prime leaves, SS is getting darker colors and I have to admit that her main cola looks gorgeous (Ice Queen - 5th pict) but otherwise nothing crazy. I decided to feed them yet this week as I checked the trichomes today and they are clear with just a few getting milky (definitely no amber) so I'll give them one more normal week and than most likely two weeks of only water, maybe with some molasses. Cheers! EDIT Sunday - day 97 (55) - So after feeding them last Tuesday, I'm checking trichomes each day and there is a significant progress. I found several amber today with lots of cloudy ones but still enough clear ones, so we are getting close to optimal harvest date. I flushed them yesterday and I'll not feed them anymore. If I harvest next Sunday (March 3), it should give me a fair 12 days since last feeding. But I'll decide about the final "cut off" date when we get closer to next weekend. 😄

So here we are in the last week of this grow! The final day will be Sunday, March 3. Both girls are completely different from each other and I can't get enough of looking at the darker one (the SS plant). Her main cola is a pure awesomeness. Just look at the pict #4 and try to tell me she isn't gorgeous 😍 BTW, it is nicely visible how both girls are feeding from their leaves which are yellowing and slowly dying out so I'm sure there are no redundant fertilizers in the soil and the final harvest will be clean. Stay tuned - I'll update this diary with harvest data and pictures on Sunday!

Harvest time!!! I'm so glad I managed to successfully finish this grow... Well, at the same time there is a bit of sadness that it came to an end but once I have the flowers cured and feel the smoke, the sadness will be long forgotten 😀 I don't have any evaluations but as soon as I try it I'll definitely update the harvest week with final thoughts and numbers. The wet weight is also rather a guesstimate. I did not weight most of it as there is a lot of stems and the number doesn't mean much... The only measurement I did was for the main colas - together made about 86g wet which is awesome. EDIT Day 109 - The dry weight is ~92g and I am more than happy with it. I know I need to cure it yet but I couldn't resist and gave it a try in my vaporizer, and man, that's some really good smoke - probably the best smoke I've ever tried. Effect is different from what I expected - it is rather clear with nice relaxing body effect but far from couch lock. I was still in contact with reality but somewhat "lighter in mind" and positive. Though the end was more to the calming effect so I would see it best for some afternoon smoke, watching movies or having a conversation with friends and a glass of wine. That's it from me for this grow. Thank you all who helped me with advice, commented or liked and of course to GD team for this beautiful website 🙏 Happy growing everyone!
