I'm starting my second grow ever with Kush 'N' Cookies, strain which seems not to be very well known but declared properties sounds more than promising. In short, it should be 1:1 strain with ~20% both THC and CBD. See the photo with packaging info... Even the seedbank "Garden Of Green" is not yet on the list here on GrowDiaries (as of today Nov 20, 2018). - In case of interest: https://gardenofgreen.eu/shop/cbd-medical/kushncookies-cbd/ To the grow itself, if both seedlings turn out to be strong and healthy, I'll try to grow both but otherwise I am prepared to keep only the stronger one. Let's wait and decide based on their progress. Also, I'm quite curious if different size and texture of the seeds will actually result in any difference in how fast they grow up or in the plant structure once they grow up, maybe a different phenotypes(?). I'll try to keep you updated. Day 4 - I can finally see them rising from their jiffy beds Day 5 - And here they are, two happy little seedlings :)

I'm a little bit worried about recent signs of yellowing leaf tips on upper/newer growth which as far as I know are usually signs of nutrient burnt, right? But this is definitely not the case as I didn't feed them with any nut's yet...any ideas, please? See last 2 picts of week 6

hey @butrus , do you know the PH of rain water ? it should be around 5.5 , and with such a PH all the nutrients will become available to the plant eventually. But it does rain less often than you water right ? so actually soil has all the nutrients a plant needs , all you really need in a soil grow is water and light. I see you're not overwatering with that 0.15 L a day (i'm guessing over 7 days) , so the only explanation is that the soil has more nutrients than the plant needs, which is a common thing. cannabis only needs like half the nutrients of other flowers most of the time, so most store bought soils are actually "hot" for the plant. So yeah, you do have nutrient burn. If you're planning on adding more nutrients, what I suggest is to hold off for one more watering, and proceed with a plain water flush next watering - water until run off then go 20% more water than that, squeeze the bags of any excess water and the proceed to feed next watering. Hope this helps growmie ! 🚀

Week 8, 2 issues 1. some middle fan leaves are getting sick (week 8, pict 6+7 named trouble #1) 2. four bottom fan leaves died out but i think it is too soon (2nd flowering week) for the plants to start consuming energy from leaves (week 8, pict 8+9 named trouble #2) Any ideas?

During this point (the stretch) it's when there plant is most hungry. Both issues relate to deficiencies: the lower yellowing leaves (and the ones that died) are nitrogen deficiency, so you need to give some grow nutes. E leaves with dark patches is a classic sign of phosphorous deficiency and so the plant needs more bloom nutes (or a PK booster). For this point 0.35 EC is too low, at the very least I would give 1.4 EC and even that might be too low.

Thanks again @Mrs_Larimar, that would be great if my diary helped this strain to spread a bit :) Growing her outdoor to her full potential could be really cool and I'm sure also rewarding. Definitely put me into comments when you get a chance to give her a try!

Thank you @Mrs_Larimar! And yes, this grow run already fulfilled two of my dreams, where one was to grow dark-colored plant and second was to grow a bud bigger than my fist which the main bud on BS girl already is, and she is getting bigger every day. 😎 I know, I know...men and sizes, right? But I can't help myself 😀 Cheers!

Things look to be coming together with your grow very nicely. Healthy color and plants with vigor is always a winning combination in my opinion. I'm very excited to see how these plants progress as you start training and flowering them. Best wishes buddy :D

@Butrus,Painkiller XL, Euphoria, Dance World,, all RQS all very good to grow, atm my favourite is Euphoria. And havent tested more but the CD-1 from mm genetics (as you know) i have a big list of"todo" grows and a list of 10 CBD plants i have to grow like C99... Pain: ACDC (hybrid), Blackberry Kush (Indica), Harlequin (Sativa) Inflammation: Purple Urkle (Indica), Banana Kush (hybrid), Cannatonic (hybrid) Nausea: Death Star (Indica), Chocolope (Sativa), Agent Orange (hybrid) Fatigue caused by lethargy: Durban Poison (Sativa), Jillybean (hybrid), Ghost Train Haze (Sativa) and so on ther are coming every day new strains
Butrus
Butruscommented6 years ago
Thanks for recommendation @Mrs_Larimar! Euphoria looks like a nice mid-range strain and is actually small enough I could give her a try so I'll add it to my list. As to the pure CBD strains which is your personal favourite? I was thinking about "Swiss Dream CBD Auto" mainly for my mother who doesn't like effects of THC, but she likes products with CBD.

@CRiSPrGrow, here is the first update after flushing - it looks like it helped so thanks again! I also managed to get the RH a bit higher (to 32-35% ) just by spaying the floor and pots from the outside 2 times a day. Cheers 😉
Butrus
Butruscommented6 years ago
@CRiSPrGrow, Yeah, I actually think this strain could handle 25% all life span and as you say, low RH is actually helping to prevent mold and such. So although I'll try to keep figuring out how to increase RH (even if only for future growths) I won't push on it at all costs 😉
CRiSPrGrow
CRiSPrGrowcommented6 years ago
@Butrus, only way I found to raise the rh is to get a large surface area of water placed just before the intake ... Low rh helps with mold and such... It's a give and take situation ...
Butrus
Butruscommented6 years ago
Thanks @CRiSPrGrow! I'll definitely watch carefully for any signs of mold or similar stuff. The only other option I have is to make the whole flat go higher on RH because the pantry is simply too small for having humidifier inside. Well, I could run washing machine more frequently 😀

@Butrus, you got it bro, tag me when you update i'll drop by... seen more than one person go "i've added one tablespoon of bat guano to my feed", the very next week they're like "well my plant died from over feeding just from that one time" , batshit is batshit strong that's all i know...
Butrus
Butruscommented6 years ago
Thank you very much for your insights @CRiSPrGrow! 🙏What you say makes perfect sense...and yes, I'm watering once a week with ~1l of 4+hrs stale tap water. Truth is that the soil I bought is meant for herbs and is premixed with some guano (that's probably why the earlier light Nitrogen toxicity 😐) but for the nutrient burnt I would expect to see it sooner than on fifth week. Well, I guess this is just another lesson I needed to learn and I know there are yet plenty to come 😃 I'll flush her with some plain water and I hope she will forgive me the over watering for once. Also, as @OutForReal suggested (thanks!) I'll look into the RH and PH but from what I measured the stale tap water tend to be more alkaline (~7.5) which I believe fits perfectly into the slightly acidic soil to make a final "mix" around 6.5...

I just ordered 10 seeds. Can't wait to start! I'm making feminized pollen from "blue blood" which is an amazing high CBD strain, and I will cross these two!
