Day 36 fed to runoff. She's becoming one thirsty lady. I have decided not to run any "bloom boosters" "terpenes boosters" etc. I have researched nutes a ton and seems like a lot of anecdotal evidence even placebo effect on buds. Flipped flower switch on the viparspectra which effectively doubles the wattage to 206w at the wall according to my killawatt. I am tracking total electrical usage which is about 270 watts including 6" can max fax operating on lowest speed, 6" oscillating fan, and LED panel. It kicks up to 642 watts when the dehumidifier is running. Day 37 she is getting thirsty. When coco was pretty dry in the same timeframe in between feeds. She's now drinking 2L/day Day 38 coco was fairly dry again. I cant seem to keep up with her thirst now. i am going to set up my troph blumat with a 3 gal res to fput her on a feed on demand drip system. I grew trees in small containers with the blumats in the past. Stems are turning a little purplish, i have read other fast bud gg diaries and this strain seems to like lots of calmag. The stretch is here. Day 39 she grew another couple inches in past 24 hrs. If she wasn't bent over, she'd be about 2 ft tall. Gave her another 2l of water. Soaking my blumat troph "carrot" to install over the weekend. Added a 5lb damp rid tumb to try and bring down humidity. Its not very cost effective to run the dehumidifier for 1 plant. Will see what it does. Day 40 installed blumat to put her on a drip on demand feeding system with a 3gal res attached. I will still flush her on regular intervals to keep salt build up down. Flushed her today with 7x normal watering volume to thoroughly due to she is showing magnesium deficiency. Purple stems, some yellowing between the veins and spotting. Initial runoff was 6.1 ph 990ppm which should be fine but i still flushed her good with 5.7 ph nutes. Going to fill res at 5.9ph. Her coco had been getting pretty dry before I could get to water, which is less than 24hrs. Leaves feel dry as well and some taco folding in new growth. Day 42 leaves not so taco today and feel more supple. Increased drip timing on blumat, was partially dry and is now moist throughout the pot. Added 1 gal to res

Grow Questions

I neglected to buffer my coco with calmag when I hydrated the coco brick. It appears my plant is suffering Ca deficiency. I have a pot of coco buffering now, should i transplant her or is there a way to keep her in current pot? See photo labeled day 11. Thank you

Hi @Ga4rd2en0er! Looks like your medium has the wrong pH and your EC is a bit high for such a young auto. Go ahead and transplant her into fresh buffered medium if you know what you're doing, this must be done VERY carefully and must be the only transplantation of her life, so give it a good container (9 ~ 11L) and let's see how she reacts to her new medium. Happy growing 👊

looks happy, no stretch so the light is good, fat and chunky leaf structure nice and good a couple yellow spotted burns before - in coco I faced fungus gnats - neem took them down no worries as well as a bug catcher or sticky strip happy growing, nice gorilla

@babbabluespear,i believe it was improperly prepared media that triggered it. Ive dealt with the pesky gnats in past grows as well but zero signs of any pest infestation. I kept a close t5 light on her first week and then switched over to the LED and node spacing as you pointed out is nice and compact. Thanks for checking it out

@OutForRealbeanCarib thanks for the advice. I normally run my grows at 5.8 5.9 but I was waiting for my ph- to show up and the nutes with my water source come in naturally at 6.2. I'll have ph- tomorrow and will fed to 30% to 40% runoff to flush and lower ph. She's growing at a decent clip so I would like to avoid shocking her with a transplant but I also dont want to end up stunting her from a lockout from increased Na or K from the non buffered coco. I forgot to mention in the question section that her stems are purplish even with 5ml/g calmag+

@Ga4rd2en0er, Hey there , for cal mag something interesting is that the uptake from the roots is 20% efficient, and from the leaves it's 95% efficient, that means that for a quick cal mag fix you can use a spray bottle twice a day and spray the cal mag on... try to saturate the water by adding one or two ML more per L than the max for feed, and spray... yes , it's that simple ! hope this helps ! 🚀

Congrats on the harvest, that should be an awesome dry weight. Especially when you only used 209W of power :)

@Tried_and_Tested, its a good little light. If I dont go outdoors this summer, I am planning on building my own COB setup and customize it to completely cover my grow space, but thar will run around $350. The $120 viparspectra was impressive. I got 3 oz from her before and I think my dry weight should be around 4oz this one.

@Ga4rd2en0er, Impressive! I always was a bit wary of those viparspectra lights, but they seem to do the job rightly! Cheers for letting me know :)

@Tried_and_Tested, one little cheap viparspectra "450" from amazon powered most of the grow, I did supplement some side lighting and below canopy area with another small led panel the last couple weeks.

Hi i see no typical signs of calmag def. what i see is some lockout"scars" from having a wrong PH . The range should be between 5.5 and 6.5 . and its good if the PH flows, in dependence of your stage try to let the ph around 5.5 and 6 so the plant can absorb the nutes she needs in that stage like sulfur, boron manganese and zink

@Ga4rd2en0er,thats a great range....

@Mrs_Larimar, thanks for responding. ph has been 5.9 to 6.2 for the short time she's been alive. I did calibrate my ph meter with my solutions so hoping its accurate. I use an oakton ph1 ecometer.

no need to change coir - flush it and keep flushing it until you can start again and blank canvas address its needs softly - 1st month - perfect time to feed as next 2 weeks...

Hey there I'm not sure where you're located but i was able to get the kelzyme at my local garden store (not superstore like home depot etc) but it may also be available @ a hydro store. But the epsom and dolomite lime is much more easily available...i think even Walmart might have dolomite. Good luck with all the options i hope your plants feel better soon. ✌️

Thanks everyone. Just got my ph- and lights will be on in a few hours. Will feed to 50%+ runoff to flush out the coco. I do have a solo foliar feeder on hand if it does become a lock out from the unbuffered coco. Seems like a lot of people complained on amazon about the GH cocotek 5kg bale being as salty as the Dead Sea. I guess i can hydrate some more of it, hit it with my tds meter and see what it comes in at. Right now my initial runoff ph is 6.1 and tds 800. My water source is 40 ppm. Store bought costco kirkland bottled RO water. I have a 5 stage portable RO filter but unfortunately the way our home is laid out, although legal in my state, i don't want to draw attention filling water bottles all the time. Unfortunately burglary is above average in my area. Beach community go figure.
