Roots continue to grow the older roots are stained from the color of the solution. I also topped her. no problems this week. This is my first time trying the TOP technique. I topped her two days ago and am seeing good growth. I think the 5 gal bucket is better than the crappy Rainforest 66 reservoir I used in the first grow. I have gotten good at controlling the A.B.L.E. Grow Chamber's Air and humidity using different settings for the ventilation or humidifier. I currently have humidity at @48%. and temps go from 21 to 24 C.

Concerning pH - I have seen a chart which shows how fluxuating your pH between 5.8 and 6.8 is helpful in releasing different nutrients. I have also seen most sites say that you should keep it as constant as possible say keep it @ 6. Does anyone have an opinion based on experience

Hello! Most of the time if you ask hydro growers they will say that constant PH is not the best way to go . You're better start around 5.5 to get up to 6.2 in late flowering ( with a sweet spot at 5.8 ) so generally hydro grower use the PH range at their advantage. Now why you should stick to a value and correct your PH. Because PH fluctuate naturally in hydro so It's better to correct a slight fluctuation than a brutal one , it can stress the plant and some times makes her struggle to get the nutrient she needs. I hope it will help you 😁👍

Can the color of your nutrients cause the roots to be dyed. My MicroGro nutrient is dark red and the older roots are colored a light red. More roots continue to grow and the roots which haven't started touching the water in my hydro system are still bright white (see photo).

Nutrient can color your root, but if they are "glued" together and slimy you have root rot :/ ( i had this during stretch phase and it wasn't fun T.T ) if you still see small roots which are growing all allong the main root, it's OK they're still healthy,

I'm in the 11th week and my pH is a constant 6.1. As i get longer into flowering, do i need to slowly bring the pH up to @ 6.4 or keep it where i am at?

Keep that value , in hydro you must know that the sweet spot is around 5.8 PH so your not so far , of course If you wanna encourage the PK availability for your plant then slowly increase until you reach 6.4 at the end of flowering but it is not necessary to me 😊

Hi, the goal in Hydro is to reach aRange between 5.5 to 6.5. the Ph shoul flow between it. The reason is to get all nutrients. The plant needs a range to absorb the nutrients. here on gd are a few very experienced hydro growers like @grzieziek, ,@BigDaddyK, @Silky_smooth. the best is write to them.

They should be ready for sale around mid-2019. The next model will look a lot nicer. Visit my website https://www.tanstaafl.solutions/a-b-l-e-grow-chamber to see more. We are trying to nail down how much to sell it for. It comes with the chamber and the ventalation equipment (AC Infinity Cloudline exhaust fan, AC Infinity intake fan, 6" charcoal filter and Exhaust fan controller).

Hello bro , here is a quote I've found on the web : "With a pH level above 6.5, iron, calcium and phosphorus ions are bound together. These substances are still present in the feeding solution, but aren’t disposable. The consequences of such a defect is very radical and decreases the development, growth and eventually the yield of a marijuana plant." So your idea is the good one if you stay at 6.4 bro ✌️🏼😊

Hello @ CrazyDiamond, sorry but what you say is not correct . You advise to start at 6.0 PH in hydro and finish with 5.5 PH and the good way is to do the total opposite of your statement : start at 5.5 for seedling and finish at 6.0. Cheers ✌️🏼😗

Hi @CommanderCannabis! Constant doesn't mean "static", yes you must have a constant pH meaning you should avoid huge gaps, like 6.5 on monday and 5.5 on tuesday --> This will lead to pH fluctuation issues and will potentially generate deficiencies. Instead, you should adjust your pH a bit (by 0.1 or 0.2) each time you fill your reservoir. This way, roots will be able to handle nutrients intakes. Alkaline values (pH over ~6.0) will mostly help the plant to get Nitrogen, Phosphorous and Potassium, while acidic values (pH below ~6.0) will facilitate Manganese, Iron and Boron absorption. Hope this will help, keep us up-to-date and happy growing 👊
