I was wondering how healthy she is looking for day 8? I'm running a Promix Organic seedling starter to start as I heard Fox Farms is a bit "hot" for starting. Running X5 COB w/ real wattage of ~250W at 23". Light placement is my biggest concern.

Hello! What I know about light is that a 600w Hps need to be at 24" from the top and a 250hps at 8" mostly because of the heat production , now you are running 5× 50w led that are producing less heat and your are at 24" : I would put them a bit lower except if you are doing that for a better light repatriation. Now your temps are almost perfect ( 17°C during nightime is only 1°C below the recommended temp ). Your air humidity is to low for that stage , you should be around 70/80% and 40% is for the end of flowering so try to use an humidifier or cut a bottle and make 3 holes to make a dome for more humidity. I hope it will help you 😁✌️🏼

I have been trying not to overwater, but I think my soil didn't have enough perlite added. I added a bit to the top layer on day 21, but am planning to move to a bigger pot today. Waterings have worked out to be 4-5 days apart. I'm still learning, but interested in any and all feedback. Please see the weird marking on the main stem of day 21. Started in Promix Organic seed starter Water PH is between 6.2-6.7 Planning on moving to fabric pot w/ Fox Farms Happy Frog potting soil

I started with week w/ some brown tips/edges on older leaves. I'm thinking this could be nute burn or possibly some kind of PH lockout+ K deficiency. I flushed last night with 6.95PH water and measured run off at 5.3PH. Seems a bit high, but I've read that FF Happy Frog should be pretty well balanced for PH. Going to see how she responds to the flush + removing older growth, I also upgraded my light from 50W x5 COB (~250W real draw) to QB 288 V2. I purchased this 2x2x4 by mistake, thinking it was a 2x2x6, so the extra thin profile of the QB will be nice. The only other issue is now I might need to add a heater as these QBs run MUCH cooler.

Since the light upgrade, temps and humidity are much easier to control due to the QB running much cooler. I've gone from having to fill up the humidifier twice a day to every two days. For watering, I've found the pickup/weight method to work best for me.

Some of the upper leaves now have dark purple between the veins. I'm interested in any input on the leaf colouring.... if this normal?

Does the discolouring I'm seeing (looks dark purple) look like a deficiency or is the plant just using up nutes stored in the leaves? Please see W14 photos.

Heyy ccore! You have nothing to worry about there. That just looks like the plant doing its thang and changing colors as it get older plus the 10*f temp swing between day/night also helps bring this out in plants. It's a good thing to have that temp swing it mimics what it would be like outside.👍So nothing to stress out over this is a genetic thing some will do it more than others the plants look very healthy by the way nice job.👊 hope this helps! Happy Growing

Finally finished my first grow. I've learned a lot, and look forward to learning more. Main mistakes made: -not enough drainage early on -misreading leaf colour change thinking it was a deficiency, but it was normal Stay tuned for round two in coco and one outdoor0000

@ccore @CRiSPrGrow is correct about VPD. It is important to address if you want optimal grow conditions at all times, as it relates directly to the amount of moisture the plants are capable of absorbing, which is growth. But a new grower may not manage relative humidity precisely, in relation to air temp, and the stage of the plants’ lives. And that’s fine. But if you want to consider this Ccore, just remember young, growing plants want higher RH above 50% and up to high. Flowering plants want below 50, and 35% if you can get there late in flower. The warmer the temps the more moisture required in general. In a cold room (below 60o F) growth will be much slower than at 75-80. I use a seedling mat, but under a 10 gal pot it barely warms the soil, so I water with warm pH’d. Warm meaning 85-90o-ish. Warm water nourishes roots like hot soup feeds us when we’re cold. Enjoy the process and your harvest!

Your Plants look really good! The dicoloring is probably just the genetics. It's pretty normal for some strains often when it gets colder.
