She has reached day 14. The past week I have soaked the cheesecloth container daily for 3-5 minutes then let it drain. I keep the nutrient solution for 2 days in the fridge and reuse it. Before each feeding I set the solution on the counter for an hour to warm up a bit. I mix fresh nutrients every 2 days and repeat the process. 😍

all photos from this user have been taken from the real Marley https://leakedbb.com/Thread-Marley-Negron This is not the same person. Don't be fooled. They have a weird obsession with me after I called them out on this. but can't fix stupid.

Curious, and this is an honest question, do you think that it is possible the grow technique (the unique "pseudo nutrient film" approach) stressed the specimen into hermaphoditism? Or do you think it was totally a trait of the genetic pool?

@Cameltoe, appreciate you taking the time to explain your thoughts on this. My question stemmed from having never really seen the technique you employed and it had me curious. Your explanation and observations do make sense. Thanks again and cheers!

Cameltoecommented10 days ago
@cultivars, I will give you an honest answer. All my grows have an element of stress to them. Only two have ever went hermaphrodite on me "under 1%" All good breeders do stress tests on their genetics. All good breeders breed out the hermaphrodite tendencies. It's one of the most important part of breeding. Breeders know their genetics will be grown in all different kinds of stressful situations. It is obvious this trait is still in the genetic pool of this cultivar. FastBuds knows of the situation and the diary. This is "NOT" a bash on FastBuds it's just to inform the breeder and the community of this cultivars issues. 😍

So first off, I thought I was the only one who danced around singing this song to my plants while watering. You are looking good with the pre-soak ! I am a total fan of it since I started doing it, Seems to totally help germination especially with olderish seeds, I will use a bit of hydrogen peroxide & they open right up. Secondly, I think this is gonna be super interesting to see how the root structure forms in this grow. This has some real potential for sure. Keys will be : - Making sure the cheese cloth does not dry out too quickly & cause root damage when the little lady grows up & starts pulling more moisture into her for photosynthesis. - Keep the roots nice and dark & away from light and make sure the container is dark as well if light leaks in it can cause algae to grow which in small amounts is not super bad but you still don't want it. - When you are dealing with no medium or very little medium ( In your case the cheese cloth ) We will want to make sure our nutrient & PH is on point as there wont be any soil / substrate to alter it or hold it as the plant takes it in. Think of it like hydroponics, Everything will be more or less instantly available if that makes sense. So PH & Nutrient level management will be key. I am following along ! You earned it for sure with this awesome idea. I love to see creativity in growing being a producer myself it is awesome to see these kinds of grows. Keep it up ! Your gonna do great with this one I just know it.

@LegacyMarketFarm, I have two little pieces of tape to hold the lid down just in case. I don't want to take the lid off until the end. Worried about the roots being ripped away from the cheesecloth.
OldSchoolSoulder
OldSchoolSouldercommentedweek 05 months ago
Mar you sure come up with some unique little grows. How much cheesecloth are you putting in that container?
Cameltoe
Cameltoecommented5 months ago
@OldSchoolSoulder, I like to mix things up a bit. I enjoy doing these smaller pot grows. Thinking of only adding like 1/4 inch of it to keep the roots moist and as a wicking action.
