Progress:
This week, the Cereal Milk plant showed signs of CalMag deficiency, causing lighter-colored leaves on the lower parts due to shading. After adjusting the light, the plant now receives sufficient light, and the deficiency is being addressed with supplements.
Observations:
Deficiency: CalMag deficiency treated with appropriate supplements.
Growth Issues: The plant exhibited some minor mutations, including skewed growth and leaves growing unusually. However, these did not affect its overall health or aroma.
Light Adjustment: Lower leaves initially showed lighter coloration due to shading but now receive adequate light.
Resin Production: Notable increase in resin production, with a tropical scent detectable on the fingers after handling the plant.
Additional Notes:
Plant Selection: Out of the original three plants, two have been removed:
One due to an undesirable phenotype.
Another affected by damping-off disease, causing it to become leggy and fall over despite attempts to stabilize it.
Surviving Plant: The remaining plant is the strongest and shows significant resin production, indicating a promising flowering phase ahead.
Summary:
Despite early challenges, the Cereal Milk plant is progressing well into the flowering stage. The CalMag deficiency has been addressed, and the plant is now receiving adequate light, contributing to healthier growth. Resin production is increasing, and the plant emits a delightful tropical aroma. With careful monitoring and continued care, the plant is expected to produce a robust yield.
