Introduction - Week 05 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 9800.74, Another great grow week! Growth has overall been going surprisingly well! Although did have a slight sensor issues early in the week. The #4 clone has been doing well and is now fully rooted and transplanted into a solo cup. Also lung room temps are getting colder and have been starting to supplement extra heating in both tents (mainly the veg tent). Steady as she grows Ensign. Engage! These ladies are just raging with growth! --- Not much vertical growth, but the canopy is bushing out and filling in nicely! --- Top growth is budding and developing into colas. Wow! --- This harvest is going to be epic! --- Although the concept of ‘trim jail’ is starting to make more sense. --- At this rate, trimming will mostly likely take more than one day. --- Plus this is just week 2 of flower with 6-7 more weeks left to go. --- May have grown too much? Nah! --- Anyways, - [+01:18]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 24% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 29% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH03 GR7 - Garlic Budder #3] ------ 22% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 29% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 31% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 27% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 32% - [CH08 GR5 - Original Garlic Budder #1] - [+01:25]: Filled a pump sprayer with 4 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. - [+01:53]: Repeated this process again for the original #2 and #4 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [+01:55]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent, --- Wow top growth has reached the grow light again. --- Gently bent and super cropped some of the branches to lower the canopy a bit. --- Going to have to top again soon. - [+02:02]: Filled a pump sprayer with 3 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the original #2’s straw mulch. - [+02:13]: Repeated this process again for the #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [+02:17]: Filled a pump sprayer with 2 cups of distilled water. ------ Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto an original #1’s straw mulch. - [+02:32]: Repeated this process again for the other original #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [+02:33]: Checked on the propagation dome. --- Looking great! Growth is still green! --- Misted the top growth with a few sprays of distilled water. --- Plan to check for roots soon. - [+02:38]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed. Day 02 - Tuesday - 10/15/24 - Total Days: 030 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages [~+01:00] - Temps: 78.7°F [25.9°C] - Humidity: 56.4% - VPD: 1.41 kPa - Soil %: [38, 43, 38, 29, 48, 37, 38, 41] ----------------------------------- - [19:37]: Decided to increase the VPD a bit. --- Within the AC Infinity App, --- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller, --- Adjusted the 'Flower [12/12]' Schedule for the humidifier. ------ Increased the VPD target value from 1.0kPa to 1.2kPa - [20:27]: Night check on the 4x4 flower tent. --- Wow! Tops are everywhere! --- Hmm. --- The tent is unusually humid. --- Also there’s a significant amount of condensation on some for the buds, scrog frame, and floor.. - [20:32]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 35% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 40% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH03 GR7 - Garlic Budder #3] ------ 27% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 45% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 36% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 36% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH08 GR5 - Original Garlic Budder #1] --- Soil moisture levels are also higher than usual. - [20:39]: Within the AC Infinity app, --- Checked the data chart for the past 24hrs. --- Woah! --- For some unknown reason, from around 10:00 to 16:00, the tent’s sensors were giving a false reading of 0% humidity. --- This caused the humidifier to kick on at level 8 for about 6 hours! --- Wow. Whelp. --- Time to swap out the sensor probe! - [20:46]: Checked the Controller 69 Pro’s sensor reading and the humidity was stuck at 95% --- Unplugged and removed the old sensor probe and replaced it with a new one. --- To help with cable routing, I taped the new cable to end of the old cable before pulling it through the tent (not sure if this makes sense). - [20:59]: Done! --- The new sensor probe was giving a more accurate reading at 68% humidity. --- Been using the same sensor probe since the original Controller 69 so I guess it was inevitably going to happen. --- Thankfully I had the original sensor probe from the Controller 69 Pro along with a few more spares from both the heaters and humidifiers. --- On the positive side, glad that this happened now in early flower. --- If this amount of condensation occurred during late flower, this could have easily caused some sort of mold or bud rot. --- Anyways, - [21:18]: Filled a pump sprayer with 4 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. - [21:34]: Filled a pump sprayer with 3 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the original #2’s straw mulch. - [21:47]: Filled a pump sprayer with 5 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #4’s straw mulch. - [22:04]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent, --- Wow veg growth is looking great! --- Top growth has reach the light again! --- Time to top again! - [22:05]: Using a pair of trimmers, --- Gently removed a good 5-6 inches of top growth. Mulched the trimmings. --- Canopy looks a lot more even. Nice! - [22:17]: Filled a pump sprayer with 2 cups of distilled water. ------ Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #2’s straw mulch. --- Also sprayed both original #1’s straw mulch as well. - [22:20]: Checked the propagation dome, --- Gently removed the #4 clone from the tray. --- Oh snap she gots roots! --- Temporarily placed her back in the tray. --- Okay! Time to plant the rooted cutting! - [22:33]: Filled a solo cup partial with some fresh (and dry) BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. --- Made sure there was enough room for the Coco Coin. - [22:40]: Inoculated the roots with some Great White mycorrhizae. ------ Sprinkled about an 1/8tsp of Great White --- Made sure to coat the roots as evenly as possible. --- Took the rooted clone and placed her into a solo cup partially filled with BuildASoil 3.0 potting soil (cup also has holes for drainage). - [22:43]: Gently filled the solo cup around the clone with more soil. --- Gently pressed and evened out the top soil a bit. - [22:45]: Added some BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch to the top. --- Cut the straw up a bit to help cover the top soil easier. --- Time to water! - [22:54]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of distilled water. ------ Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of Horticultural Coconut ------ Added 1/32tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/16tsp of Mycrobe Complete --- Mixed and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle. - [23:01]: Took the initial dry weight. --- She weighed 225g --- While on the scale, --- Gently misted the straw mulch with the solution. --- Focused on the straw. --- Misted 5-10 sprays. Waited a few seconds, then misted again. - [+00:11]: Repeated this process until the cup weighed 301.2g --- Wow the soil must have been really dry. --- This watering took a bit longer than usual. --- Kept getting runoff when the cup was not heavy enough. --- Usually would water to about 325g, but this time could barely get the soil to hold the 301g --- Anyways, - [+00:14]: Placed the newly planted and watered #4 clone onto the 3x3 veg tent's floor. --- The solo cup was also place on top of an upside-down drip tray. --- Also covered the clone with a humidity dome (sprayed with distilled water). Vents are fully closed. --- For now, going to leave the propagation dome on, but have both side vents open. --- Going to let this air dry out for a few days before turning off the bar lights off. --- Anyways, - [+00:20]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed. --- Ooo yea! --- Another successful cloning and hyped that #4 has been preserved! --- Going to veg her in the solo cup for a week or two before transplanting and swapping out one of the original #1s (either a 7-gallon or 5-gallon fabric pot). Day 03 - Wednesday - 10/16/24 - Total Days: 031 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages [~+01:00] - Temps: 79.6°F [26.4°C] - Humidity: 72.4% - VPD: 0.95 kPa - Soil %: [37, 40, 38, 29, 38, 35, 38, 36] ----------------------------------- - [+01:35]: Night check on the 4x4 flower tent. --- Nice! Looking good ladies! --- Wow growth looks incredibly healthy! --- #3 is struggling but the rest are thriving and dominating the canopy! --- Buds are looking beautiful and frosty! Hyped! - [+01:39]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 28% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 31% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH03 GR7 - Garlic Budder #3] ------ 24% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 33% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 33% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 35% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 33% - [CH08 GR5 - Original Garlic Budder #1] - [+01:52]: Filled a pump sprayer with 2 cups of distilled water. ------ Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. - [+02:06]: Repeated this process again for the original #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [+02:09]: Filled a pump sprayer with 3 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #4’s straw mulch. - [+02:17]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent, --- Vegging along nicely! --- Growth is green and looking good! --- Checked on the #4 clone, --- Removed the humidity dome. --- Misted the top growth with distilled water. --- Growth is still green and looking great! --- She was cut a good 3 weeks into the 12/12 cycles so absolutely stoked on the health of this clone! If using the right tools and techniques, cloning is way easier than seed germination. --- Mainly been impressed with the vigor and growth morphology. This particular pheno constantly needs watering and is dominating the tent for the second time in a row. --- Garlic Budder #4 is officially my first selected keeper! --- Okay! Anyways, - [+02:22]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed. Day 04 - Thursday - 10/17/24 - Total Days: 032 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages [~+01:00] - Temps: 80.1°F [26.7°C] - Humidity: 70.5% - VPD: 1.03 kPa - Soil %: [33, 36, 39, 29, 32, 32, 33, 31] ----------------------------------- - [21:23]: Night check on the 4x4 flower tent. --- Wow! Garden is just bushing out with growth! --- The overall health is just baffling! Almost as if I actually know how to grow. --- Don’t frack this up Ensign! --- Anyways, - [21:33]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 27% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 30% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH03 GR7 - Garlic Budder #3] ------ 26% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 30% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 30% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 31% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 31% - [CH08 GR5 - Original Garlic Budder #1] --- Time for another feeding! - [21:55]: Filled a pitcher with 12 cups of distilled water. ------ Added 1/16tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/8tsp of: --------- Lotus Cal/Mag --------- Big 6 Micronutrients [+ Humic Acid] --------- BuildABloom --------- Bio-Phos ------ Added 1/2tsp of Pure Protein Dry [Organic Fish Aminos] ------ Added 1tsp of Horticultural Coconut --- Mixed the solution and poured 4 cups straight into a pump sprayer. --- Gave the sprayer another good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [22:53]: Repeated this process again for the original #2 and #4 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. --- Also misted #3 a bit. - [23:00]: Checked on #3 and the vegging clones in the 3x3 tent, --- Growth is vegging along nice and steady! --- The #4 clone is looking good! @smoking_hills9, Thanks growmie! Second time growing these phenos and my first clone grow. Yea, I reference these logs as I grow so they have to be detailed. This is also why my logs are about 2 weeks delayed. Sort of a full-time hobby!
