Introduction - Week 10 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 9896.37, Wow what a grow week! Flipped the light cycle to 18/6 with a harvest day set for early next week! The replacement humidifier arrived and was promptly installed. Also dialed in the auto-watering setup and now everything is working smooth and haven’t needed to water the #4 pheno the entire week. Very nice! In the veg tent, culled and cycled out the mother plants with the solo cup clones. Also lowered the grow light. With bud growth continuing to ripening up, plan to chop and flip the entire flower tent soon. Getting a bit concerned on how to exactly do this, but one impossible task at a time! Anyways, Set a course for an epic harvest Ensign! Maximum warp! Engage! Time to transplant #2! --- It’s been two days since her last watering. --- Gently flipped #2 upside-down which easily dropped straight out of her cup. --- Roots looked white, but the soil was a bit loose. Could have probably vegged her another week in the cup. --- Did not break the root ball up or anything. --- Gently placed her into the pre-inoculated hole. - [19:52]: Pressed and evened out the top soil. --- Also spread the original solo cup mulch out onto the top soil. - [19:57]: Placed the original straw mulch back on top of the soil. --- Also added the original #1’s Ecowitt soil meter back. --- Firmly pressed the meter as deep as it would go. --- Will update the soil sensor and change it to #4 later. - [20:55]: Repeated this process for the original #2 pheno. --- Swapped her out with an original #1 clone. - [21:41]: Next was the original #1 pheno. --- She was swapped out with an original #2 clone. - [21:44]: Placed all phenos into the 3x3 veg tent. --- Decided to also top the #4 pheno. - [21:45]: Using a pair of trimmers, --- Topped the main stalk a good 4 nodes. --- Mulched the trimmings. --- Going to give the freshly planted clones 4 cups of wetting solution for the initial transplant watering. --- Also going to be adding in some BTI. - [20:03]: Filled a pitcher with 12 cups of RO water. --- Added 1/16tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Added 1/4tsp of Horticultural Aloe --- Added 1/4tsp of Horticultural Coconut --- Added 1/4tsp of Mycrobe Complete --- Added 1/4tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI (Bacillus Thuringiensis, subspecies Israelensis) --- Mixed the solution and poured 4 cups straight into a pump sprayer. --- Misted the original #1’s straw mulch. - [10:53]: Repeated this process again for both the original #2 and #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. - [22:54]: Decided to also adjust the grow light height. --- Lowered the S33 IonBoard a decent amount closer to the canopy. - [23:07]: Took general PPFD readings. ------ All phenos were around 258 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 16.72 mol/m²/d under a 18/6 light cycle. --- The canopy is now about 16” away from the grow light. --- Should be more than enough light. --- Depending on how top growth responds, may even lower the light intensity level later (still set at 2 out of 10). - [23:12]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Tanks are still full and no leaks found. --- Wow what a day! --- Still more to do! Haven’t refilled the humidifiers all week! Day 06 - Saturday - 11/23/24 - Total Days: 069 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages ~[+01:00] - Temps: 79.1 °F [26.2°C] - Humidity: 60.3% - VPD: 1.34 kPa - Soil %: [35, 39, 37, 40, 41, 44, 42, 00] ----------------------------------- - [19:24]: Night check on the 4x4 flower tent. --- Three more days until Harvest! --- Garden is looking beautiful! --- Wow bud growth is just wall-to-wall! --- The buds are ripening up and senescence is present everywhere with shades of purple and yellow. --- Growth can always be better, but as a crappy, err I mean beginner grower, the garden looks absolutely beautiful! --- Definitely going to be my largest harvest yet! - [19:31]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 28% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 31% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 38% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 39% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 40% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 43% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 41% - [CH08 GR7 - Garlic Budder #4] - [19:58]: Filled a pump sprayer with 6 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/16tsp of Lotus Cal/Mag --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. - [20:15]: Repeated this process again for the original #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. --- Checked on the #4 pheno. --- No leaks and the system seems to be working fine! - [20:18]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent, --- Veg growth is overall looking pretty good! --- #4 is looking a bit droopy. Moisture levels look okay so will continue to check. --- The rest of the clones look great! --- Checked the RO water source line and the system was at about 25-30psi at full pressure with no leaks. - [20:21]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Tanks are still full and no leaks found. - [20:26]: Time for another grow board wipe! --- Wow what a month of growing! --- Over the pasts weeks automation was added and has made growing simpler. Started by completely automating the humidifiers and added an auto watering system for the #4 pheno. The added automation will definitely make the next cycle a lot easier. --- Of course had some issues, but even with equipment failures (and a minor reservoir flooding), this is by far the shortest grow cycle, along with the busiest! --- Really am enjoying the perpetual growing style, but still am trying to dial in the whole process. --- Overall a lot got accomplished. But with feminized plant breeding as an eventual goal, there’s still a whole lot more to do! --- One impossible task at a time Ensign. Day 07 - Sunday - 11/24/24 - Total Days: 070 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages ~[+01:00] - Temps: 79.8 °F [26.6°C] - Humidity: 62.8% - VPD: 1.29 kPa - Soil %: [37, 42, 38, 38, 39, 41, 41, 00] ----------------------------------- - [19:18]: Night check on the 4x4 flower tent. --- Ooo yea! Growth is bulking up nicely! --- Buds are frosty and purple with an earthy fuel profile. No signs of garlic, but am getting a berry jam-like aroma on some buds. Absolutely hyped! --- Updated the Ecowitt soil sensor data a bit by renaming a few channels. - [19:35]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data: ------ 30% - [CH01 FP5 - Garlic Budder #1] ------ 34% - [CH02 FP5 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 39% - [CH04 FP5 - Garlic Budder #4] ------ 37% - [CH05 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #1] ------ 39% - [CH06 GR7 - Original Garlic Budder #2] ------ 41% - [CH07 GR7 - Garlic Budder #2] ------ 41% - [CH08 GR7 - Garlic Budder #4] - [19:53]: Filled a pump sprayer with 5 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] --- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto #1’s straw mulch. - [20:12]: Repeated this process again for the original #2 pheno. --- Focused mainly on the straw. --- Checked on the #4 pheno. --- No leaks and the system seems to be working fine! - [20:14]: Checked on the vegging 3x3 tent, --- Veg growth is looking great! --- #4 is still getting droopy, but the rest of the phenos seem to be thriving! --- Based on the soil moisture levels, no need to water. - [20:16]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Tanks are still full and no leaks found. --- Oh yea! --- TWO MORE DAYS UNTIL HARVEST!!! @smoking_hills9, Thanks growmie! Second time growing these phenos and my first clone grow. Yea, I reference these logs as I grow so they have to be detailed. This is also why my logs are about 2 weeks delayed. Sort of a full-time hobby!
