Introduction - Week 08 Summary - Ensign's log, stardate 9858.12, Pretty busy grow week! Lots got done, still lots more to do! In the flower tent, been trying to keep up with watering. Wow these ladies can drink! Also increased the light intensity a bit. As for the veg tent. Did a bit of super-cropping along with a topping, but these plants are continuing to rage with growth! Also planted the rooted Coco Coins from the propagation dome into solo cups. Will start cycling out the current mother plants next week. We got roots! --- All phenos have roots! Time to transplant the rooted cuttings! - [21:47]: Placed 3 solo cups with holes cut at the bottom (for drainage). --- Filled each cup with about halfway with some fresh (and dry) BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. - [21:53]: Inoculated each cup with some Great White mycorrhizae. ------ Sprinkled 1/8tsp of Great White --- Made sure to go as evenly as possible. --- Also dusted the roots a bit with about 1/8tsp of Great White before placing a clone into a solo cup. --- Made sure the solo cup had plenty of room for more soil. - [21:59]: Gently filled the solo cup around the clone with more soil. --- Gently even and patted down the top soil a bit. - [22:01]: Added some BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch to the top. --- Broke the straw mulch up a bit to help cover the top soil. --- Set the cup aside. Plan to water all the solo cups at once. - [22:31]: Repeated this process until all rooted clones were planted. --- Started with the #1 pheno before planting the original #2. --- Lastly planted the #2 pheno. To make room for the soil, had to remove a leaf. --- Okay! Time to water! --- Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Coconut ------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete - [22:38]: Mixed and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle. --- Starting with the original #1 pheno, - [22:41]: Took the dry weight for the cup. --- She weighed 216.7g --- While on a scale, --- Gently misted the straw mulch. --- Focused on the straw. --- Misted 5-10 sprays. Waited a few seconds, then misted again. - [+01:53]: Repeated this process until each solo cup weighed exactly 300.3g --- Placed all 3 solo cups into the 3x3 veg tent. --- Wow this watering was a pain to say the least.. --- Did not expect take over 3 hours to water 3 solo cups. --- Clearly this was due to the complete dryness of the soil. Each cup kept leaking water when I know that it could hold more. Peat moss is hydrophobic when dry and this soil was definitely bone dry. --- Next time going to try pre-wetting the soil a bit. - [+02:01]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Refilled the humidifiers with distilled water as needed. --- Wow what a week! --- Next week plan to add a bit of automation to this grow.
