Grow Schedule to Date:
Sprout: 1/9/19
Age: Day 37 as of 2/15/19
Updates/Observations:
-All of the plants are doing pretty well. There is some slight nitrogen overabundance on the Sunkiss x MAC side but it looks to still be in check right now.
-I still don't really water, just about a half gallon of water into the res last week to keep the worms happy. The water conservation on this bed is pretty amazing. In total, I think I have watered about 5 gallons into the bed in 10 weeks!
-I removed any growth on the plants that was touching the ground or too old. Some refer to this practice as lollipopping.
-I also mowed the cover crop to give the plants some room to breathe and give the worms some good nutrient rich food as we move into flower. Everything the cover crop took, is given back to the soil. Nothing is wasted here folks. I like to think I respect the plant in that way similar to how I would think of a moose or buffalo hunted for food for my family; honor/respect the sacrifice and the cycle always. 👍
-I removed several tops to open up the canopy a bit. I took those tops and put them in my homemade aero cloner (cost about $15 to make-see picture).
-After the clones root, I will plant them into the second bed seen in the veg tent.
-Once I have identified my keeper pheno(s), I plan to self them to make my own feminized seeds for future runs. Ideally, I am moving towards a rotating cycle with at least half of each run made up of feminized seeds to guarantee some final numbers moving into flower. Silly restrictive plant counts keep my numbers low.
Cheers!

@CRiSPrGrow,
You are most welcome my friend. Always feel free to ask me any questions and I’ll do my best to answer or point you towards someone smarter than me.

@Budcrack,
I will get there sometime my friend, but thank you very much for your support!
As far as a source for no-till stuff, I would recommend starting at buildasoil.com. They have all the reading material you need and very fair prices for top quality amendments. That is where I get most of my stuff.
Good luck!

@CRiSPrGrow,
To be honest I am really just paying attention to the plants and every 4 days seems to keep them praying pretty consistently. Hard to know for sure. 🙏

@CaliGrown,
Thanks man! It is a lot of fun but I won't lie, trying to dial in watering without being able to pick up the pot is roughhhhhhhh. Kind of missing pots tbh lol.
@GrimbolTheDruid, very cool ! hopefully one day Bulbi will grow some experimentals from the Grimbol lol i love home breeding very cool beans ! pun intended !
@CRiSPrGrow,
For the males? Nah they went back to the soil. Chopped them up and dropped them into the pot for the worms.
There will be an experiment coming up though!
Cheers!
@GrimbolTheDruid, You're welcome, and glad you liked the name, haha! I'm an organic grower as well. Still new to the growing game, but I think my next round I will have it dialed in more. Nothing beats the taste of organic.
@CRiSPrGrow,
Thanks man! I will definitely keep you updated on her. One of those beans grown out about a year or so ago was some of my favorite Meph smoke I have ever had.
Might have some crazy new stuff on the way though, get ready!
Grower's love,
Grimbol
