Test run: Organic in Megapot - Gorilla Cookies auto

Plantinator I started to feed her with a moderate amount of nutes. This week I will give her 1/8th of the amount what the Biobizz schedule suggests. During this grow I will keep my eye on the ppm levels too. The light was set to 13 dli. All seems good so far.

Plantinator So far she is chugging along nicely. This week I am planning to top her and use Canamatoes style aka Nugbucket style for autos. DLI has been set to 20. Topped on day 15.

Plantinator 2nd topped on day 20 and she is reacted well to HST, she is too busy with growing, there is no time to get stunted. I give her 1/3 of the feed schedule’s recommendation. Soon I will switch to bottom feed. DLI has been set to 30. Day 26 - today I installed the Megapot system. She has been transplanted from a 5 gal bag to a 6 gal one, it was quite a torture I must say. More stress for the plant. I had to do this for the better drainage. Was it a stupid move? We shall see.

Plantinator The new week starts in a new pot, I hope the transition will going well. 🙏🏼 I will water it from the bottom, but not decided whether or not to stop feeding from top. Also she has been 3rd topped on day 27, now I let her shoot upwards. All the best little gal! 😘 DLI has been set to 35. 💡 Day 31 - after 5 days I added 4L to the tray. I will keep using the wet-dry cycle.

Plantinator She is in pre-flowering stage and she is looking really happy in the megapot. So far the watering regime is as follows: •Clean water in the tray for 4 days, top up if needed •Turn off the air pump, drain the water •Wait 12 hours •Pour the feed in the tray (3 liters - 1/2 strenghth) •Leave the feed in the tray for 24 hours, air pump off •Drain the leftover of feed •Clean water in the tray, turn the air pump back on This is quite a lot of work compared to using synthetic nutrients, but I hope the hard work will pay off at the end.

Plantinator Bud sites are getting ready now. I did a bit more LST and removed a few side shoots which never gonna make it due to lack of light. I replaced the light, under the TS 1000 she was praying all day long. On the previous run I had problems with the FC3000, it was turning itself off at random times. Mars Hydro was kindly sent me a replacement controller, so far it seems like this problem has been solved. However, I tried to use the app again and it’s still shite. 💩😂 So I just use the light in manual mode. Such a shame for the extra features I cannot use. For DLI I will use the following chart: AUTO FLOWER LED LIGHT INTENSITY Recommended LED PPF/PAR Values / DLI Based on 20 hrs. of light. Seedlings 150 - 200 umol / DLI 10.80 - 14.4 moles per day Veg up to 9" 450 umol / DLI 32.40 moles per day Early bloom 500 umol / DLI 36.00 moles per day Mid bloom 650 umol / DLI 46.80 moles per day Late bloom 750 umol / DLI 54.00 moles per day Ripen 400 umol / DLI 28.80 moles per day *** Use extreme caution going 700 umol or higher @ 20 hrs/day this could cause leaf burn*** The only difference is that I will keep this run in 18/6, so I ignore the PAR values above. IMO the best thing you can do is to read the leaves all the time and use the charts as a guidance.

Plantinator She is taking shape nicely, but in the meantime I noticed some CalMag and N deficiencies too. On the next feed I will go with 2/3 strenght and the following one will be 3/4 if needed. At the moment I’m switching from tap water to rainwater, the problem is that Biobizz PH down doesn’t hold the ph for more than an hour. Hence the deficiencies. I ordered a PH- from Growth Technology, it solved the issue. Plantinator I was learning a lot just about water itself. Currently the method I use was inspired by an article I found on Canna Nutrient’s website: Rainwater + tap water to EC 0.2 (100ppm) Add CalMag to reach EC 0.4 (200ppm) Ph down (first diluted a small amount in water) Nutes Day 58: Increased the feed to 3/4 Day 59: Replaced the tap water to liquid silicon. Rainwater + Liquid silicon to EC 0.2 (100ppm) Add CalMag to reach EC 0.4 (200ppm) Ph down (first diluted a small amount in water) to ph 5.6

Plantinator I feed her with full strength of nutes in every 4 days. The leaves are much healthier, so this is the way to go. The smell is lacking which is weird, but hopefully the end product will be fine.

Plantinator Not much happened recently, a nice smell has been developed, while the leaves are yellowed further. The buds are getting fatter, I reckon a couple of weeks left until chop.

Plantinator The pistils are turning brown and I’m checking the trics daily. Flushing comes soon. Lowered the DLI to 38, maybe I will go even lower this week to keep the terps and to avoid foxtailing.

Plantinator This week I started flushing her. For the first time I’m using Canna Flush. The RH has been lowered to 45% Now nothing else left just to wait for some amber trichomes.

Plantinator This is her final week. Since last week, I've only used Canna Flush once, followed by pH 5.8 water. It's clearly visible that the leaves are much greener now, which is surprising. This suggests the plant experienced nutrient lockout while I mistakenly thought the issue was pH related. I'm continually learning from this run!

Plantinator End of the grow cycle finally! This one was a test run, I wanted to see the possibilities using liquid nutrients in an Autopot-like system. Firstly, because I got plenty of the nutrients left from the previous grow. Although it is possible to use this method, it’s way too much work. I had to change the water/feed in the tray all the time while I was facing with ph stability issues. The harvest is now in the drying chamber. I will keep you updated with the end results.
