After the catastrophic failure of the previous round of 5 seedlings, I have remedied the tent condition so that it is isolated from the floor. The newly germinated seedlings are now thriving.
Seedlings are doing well this go around. Still trying to figure out the best option I have for early stages of growth. The disposable cups are a nice size, but I would prefer something more permeable to air in the future.
All of the pineapple punch phenos are looking healthy. Still not showing clear signs of sex yet. So hopefully soon.
It’s a bit difficult to balance the light needs of the different plants in this tent.
Pineapples #2 and 3 turned to be male. So they’ve been removed
Pineapple #1 seems to be healthiest remaining female. That is, despite the same processes used for all three remaining.
Taking clones and starting flower shortly.
Finally switched these girls into flower.
It took longer than expected for them to clearly show sex.
Then the plants needed recovery after transplant and some ph issues I think. But they’re looking good now.
I’ve got clones going from all three phenos left so hopefully smooth sailing from now on.
Happy with how these girls are looking. Now if I can just keep the clones alive…kinda struggling for some reason.
Unfortunately the tent reached almost 100% humidity for a few hours when the exhaust fan had some kind of glitch. Fixed it with only unplugging and plugging the fan back on…strange. Hopefully no negative side effects from this.
As far as the pheno hunt goes pineapple punch #1 bud structure is coming out as a favorite. Smell of each pheno is similar (all quite good) with a distinct pineapple citrus nose. Pheno #4 has an edge in the prominence of the pineapple smell just barely.
Unfortunately due to travel I think my clones of these plants have all but perished. Still trying to save #1 but does not appear promising.
I’m happy with the progress and status of these flowering plants. Hopefully will produce some good bud. And if I have to…I’ll just do another pheno hunt in the future.
I neglected these plants a bit last week (flower week 6). I wanted to attempt to give the plants a sense of urgency and maybe stench a little bit more. Just a theory. I’m not sure it worked. I think smell actually decreased a bit. This week I’ll start giving them the last 3 weeks worth of flower nutes.
Smell is starting to shine on all of the pineapple plants. Each show variations in bud structure and senescence. These plants are entering their final 2-3 weeks.
Wish you to find that perfect pheno that you are looking for 💪🌱💚
The girls look very good, healthy and vibrant🌱💚👍like all other plant in your other diaries👍
