For the first time I have finally found my way. This whole endeavor has been a great learning experience going from growing clones to trying seeds. I have three strains all purple fruity strains so I’m in heaven. 100% success by soaking seeds for an extended period of time and leaving them in the paper towel in a warm place until they had completely sprouted leafs and all. They were yellow but the next day after planting them they were perkey and green. I’m finally happy with my grow and feel like iv learned a lot but I paid dearly in lost seeds that’s for sure

I’ll begin by saying that I had a great week with lots of new growth. I was able to transplant everyone into their own pots even if just for temporary use like one of my Mendo purp X purple punch plants. Since I’m on this topic I’d like to say first correct me if I’m wrong and I’ll take it back but I’m under the impression that I’m the first ever breeder/grower of this strain cross which I have yet to make a name for(I’m taking suggestions) and I feel a great responsibility to kill this grow and make a nice sweet purple strain to bring to the table for everyone. Aside from those two purp X purp plants I have my dark devil which has really taken off and is as tall as the purps and both blackberry seem steady though not as vigorous as the devil or the “mendo punch”(my only idea for a name yet🤔) so we will see as things move forward, it’s only the end of week 2 so no need to get ahead of myself. Thank for checking in everyone. Stay tuned for this mendo punch or whatever it is after all how often do you see a brand new cross two plants of such prestige and popularity then get to watch them grow start to end i mean I’m not professional breeder but shit they’re growing and faster/bigger then my pure bred autos

Continued to grow very smoothly no issues just new growth every day. Two days ago just before the end of week 4 I found evidence of preflower on all the autos except the runt dark devil which is obvious in my pics. I also added a high power UVB bulb, I live in high elevation and I want to replicate a mountain range grow. So last night they got a feeding of 1/3 grow big, 1/3 big bloom & 1/3 tiger bloom and 3ML of Terpinator each direct to the base of the stock then washed down with Ph 6.2 water. Thanks for checking me out this week enjoy the pictures and if you start back at week one you can see how fast these girls are actually growing

Great week it’s kinda strange because the growth of each plant is different and every other one is small and big surprising the Dark Devil #1 is the biggest plant it’s easy to see in photos.

Great week again! Nothing but love in the greenhouse right now and I couldn’t be happier. Funny thing is I intended to grow 2 each of three different purple and fruity strains hence the name purple winter ❄️. Well so far all of them are coming out very green. granted I’m only in week 2 of flower and my heat temps are regulated automatically so my shit doesn’t get cold no matter how cold it is outside my greenhouse because it’s wraped in 6mil black plastic to keep light out and heat in so idk if I’m ever gonna see purple. Anyone want to offer up advise? I grew blue magoo(dr.sus line!) one time and it turned blue purp right at the end. Is that how this works or what? Help a brotha out. What happened to peace? PEACE!

How long does it take for my plants to start turning purple? I know this varies but blanket statement...

My purple varieties usually started to change colors around the 3rd-4th week of flowering...as soon as my pistils slowly started to discolor the sugar leaves etc. Began to start showing their reds and purples.

Temperature will influence this factor if it's in the genetics. Lower night time temps of 10-15max lower then daytime temperature will accelerate this process called anthocyanin accumulation which causes anthocyanin to build up within plants. While chlorophyll is what gives weed and plants in general their green color, anthocyanin is what makes weed purple, and carotenoid is what will make weed yellow or gold. I'm late on your question but now you know. Cheers mate.

This typically happens in the middle to end of flowering . It has a lot to do with temps as well . Generally speaking at the end of flower usually the temps are alot cooler like a 10 degree difference between night and day this generally makes the plant gain a lot more colour it also has alot to do with strain , if your strain isn't a "purple" strain then your likely not going to get any major purple unless your force the 10 degree difference . But over all to answer your question in a simple way in the middle to end of flowering is when this usually starts to happen . I hope the information provided helps you understand the when and they how that makes a plant gain colour during growth . -Happy Growing!

Well last week I was kinda trippin on the fact that I had 3 reliable purple strains 2 of each and was not seeing a drop of color yet but this week it kicked right in and what was green is now changing to purple or growing that way rather so any new growth is purple so far except the mendo punch in veg, they are bright green still. No complaints just excitement. This grow has been 100% successful and even my dark devil runt took off and has grown like 5” in 5 days and branched out like crazy too. Hope you enjoyed this weeks edition to my favorite grow so far ........Purple Winter.

Coming up on the Finish line with the dark Devil. The rest is coming up quick too but still showing a lot of white hairs on everything else except one of the Blackberry and I can tell its a undesirable pheno type because the bud are airy as hell and hardly purple but all and all I’m proud say I grew this shit here in Portland Oregon baby

Started flushing the budding plants last week so this is week 3 of flush now and it looks like 90% of it is ready, I guess the other 10% is gonna go early. Either way it’s the frostiest purple bud I have ever seen and my whole green house wreaks like skunk & berries with a hit of rocket fuel

@Race91, every strain is different, to state ... All autos are .... In my mind its stupid :) I have 8 photos and one auto. We use mostly same nutritions from FF. My auto is the only one which was underfed. I gave her more, because she was biggest plant, but not stronger mix. She end up beeing my biggest plant indoors which was never toped. In veg using recomended FF feed plan i already had too much nitrogen. This time in veg i used total of 80 ml for my all plants in 6 weeks. Plus i used triple of that of big bud and around 150 ml of CalMag and thats my total for 9 plants. But in flower stage from 8 photos in my mind 3 girls where overfed, and again i used redused from liters to gallons dosage...... And those 3 girls are three smallest except my two experiment ones. Plants which leaves colour i manage to hold in healthy green with first nute burn on week 6 ( i think after second defoliation in flower) where the healthiest and flowered longest , had biggest buds and colas. If you would search a bit youtube you will find FF video, where they state that only part of theirs line is organic, they dare to say that if product is 80 % organic (water ? ;))) ) and rest is "almost" so you can call and sell it like organic product. I wont use them. With proper syntetic you can grow plants in 14 weeks and 400-500 g under led or hps. Saw live how people do it. But i do it only for me. So i want cleanest, oiliest, stinkiest lovely taste product that i can have ;) So my target is a 100 g a plant. Think this time i will have 2 or 3 plants like this from 9 ;) I growed plants from my chilhood . All my family had their garden houses and we spent summers planting everything whats eatable or flowers funky. I know how to see and read plant. Now still searching for my way of doing it. I hope i find it, but i can tell you that if you change strain or in your climat its different season you already are at new adventure ride ;) Good luck in searching yours ! P.s. be carefull if you buy decaned FoxFarm on ebay. I got mine deluted with water. Had leftovers from last year and could compair coulour, thickness and ppm readings...

@AsNoriu, I see What you’re saying now and it times I often wondered if I was overfeeding them at all but the one thing I noticed and all the girls I’ve done is that at least once or even twice I’ve ended up with leaf burn from overfeeding nitrogen during the veg state but on this one I never had so much is a yellow tip however I did notice some of the buds were smaller But I had just chop that up to them being an auto flower because using the same feed regimen I’ve grown very large balance on multiple other plants but they were photo plants. Now for this auto flower girl I did reduce the amount of nutrients are used on my photo plants Due to all the warnings of overfeeding with auto flowers but nonetheless I am willing to try even less nutrients in this coming row which I already have all the babies sprouted and vegging for summer. Some of them are photo plants some of them are auto plants so I guess we’ll have to see but I appreciate you looking out for a fellow grower

@Race91, ;))) you show your feed charts here. Your plants have lovely colours, nice buds, but are too small. Just my stupid quess that you overfed them. Good luck. Happy growing ! P.s. i had couple runs with FF and now is my last one. I redused doze a lot and still some plants where close to nitrogen overfeeding .... And the ones with darkest leaves - have smallest buds.
