Grease Monkey

11/03/24. Officially 1 week old Doesn’t seem like something to get too excited over, and usually I wouldn’t, but me and seeds have apparently not been friends this week. Anyhow, this girl is proudly reaching up to the little grow bulb I have her under. She is stretching a bit, but nothing I’m too worried about. Before too long I will put her under a higher watt light. Her soil was feeling like the desert about 2 days ago so I did give her some water. She must be a really thirsty little thing because it’s almost there again. She must have a real thirst for life 😄 Not much else to say for now. She’s just growin and chillin Thanks for stopping by, take care ✌️

11/10/24. Beginning of week 2 She’s still chillin with her friends under a low wattage grow bulb. She’s happy there for now, but yeah.. she needs to be going under the normal light. Her soil is bone dry and she’ll be getting a watering again today. She had water 3 days ago. I will be giving her a light feeding the watering after this and see how she responds. 11/17/24. She’s 3 weeks old today Not too much to say really. She was transplanted 3 days ago and she’s doing just fine. Gave her a watering afterwards. Somehow her soil was already pretty dry today, so she got water again. Next time she’s dry I’ll be giving her some food. She’s moved under the 100w light now and she’s about 26 inches from it at 100%. Will tweak if anything seems off. So yeah, that’s about it. Thanks for lookin ✌️

11/24/24. She’s starting week 4 today. She’s a lanky little thing. She’s about 18 inches away @ 100% from the light. She was watered and fed 3 days ago and needed water this morning. No set amount, I just slowly water the top and wait about ten minutes and add more. I repeat that until there’s about 10% run off. I will top her later today at the 5th node. That should cover it. 12/02/24. She’s going into week 5. This is a tall lanky girl. She would look down at all her friends if it was up to her. I’ve had to raise them all up to her level. She’s drinking every 2 days and I water her slowly until about 10% run off. She’s been eating every other watering. I hope she stops focusing on height and starts growing out some branches. She’s all leaves and stem/stalk..whatever. Shes seems happy and healthy though, so aim not really complaining. Just hope she doesn’t decide to be 6 feet tall or something lol.

12/09/24. She’s going into week 6 She was transplanted 3 days ago. She’s already resumed growing…up more lol. I watered her after transplanting and haven’t needed to water again since. Much more soil she’s getting used to now. The soil is getting a bit dry now though, so I’ll be watering in the morning. I’ll be increasing her micro and grow amounts as well (listed up above). She’s definitely going to need it, I assume, now that she has lots more room to go crazy. Thanks for lookin

12/16/24. Week 1 flower. I was planning on not really training any of the ladies in my grow and also no trellis. Wanted to just let this grow kinda grow more naturally and do its own thing. I also wanted to try less veg time. I did wind up using just a couple lst clips last minute because this lady just wanted to grow tall and all together with most potential bud sites being all covered even with trying to just leaf tuck. As of now I don’t plan to do anything else, she just needed at least a little help. Changed her light schedule today 12/12. She’s currently 22 inches from the light with 50% dim. She had a watering yesterday- 1 gallon with just a bit of run off this time. Just silica and her calmag that also includes micros. Thanks for lookin

12/24/24. Jumpin into week 2 flower. 8 days in and not too much going on. She’s stretched about 4 inches and saw first pistils last night. Switching to “transition” feeding ratio. Just seems more balanced. Since getting her into a bigger pot she’s not needing watered as often. Don’t really have a day span to give. Just watering when I stick my finger into the soil and it feels dry. She’s got a strange color going on in her leaves so I’m keeping an eye on that. Kinda bright af green veins.. really standing out next to darker surrounding. Anyhow yeah nothing too exciting currently Thanks for lookin & Merry Christmas. 🎄

12/31/24. Starting week 3 flower. Day 15. I’ll update more later. Busy tonight but didn’t wanna skip update outright. Happy New Year!

01/07/25. Beginning of week 4 flower/day 21 Not much to report on this week other than changing of feed ratios from transition to flowering. She’s seemed to have chilled on stretching now, so let’s get some more bud development going huh. Watering about every 3 days with a little over a gallon now and seems like I may need to increase the amount. When I watered today with the amount that seems to be what she’s been taking to get run off, there wasn’t any. Rip. I’ll prepare more next time around. Thanks for lookin ✌️

01/14/25. Starting of week 5 flower. Should have updated last night but got busy. Pictures and information are from yesterday. Watered with a gallon and a half of water with silica and calmag. She got run off again with increased amount. Her prior watering was with tri part nutes. This lady has been working on frost. Okay well she’s slowly working on bud size now too. There seems to be some leaf issues starting. Some rust-ish looking shit along the veins. It’s not spotty like ca issues.. idk how to explain. I’m thinking it’s something to do with having had too much nitrogen. Been following HALF of manufacturers recommendations and feeding every other water. Head scratch? As I have mentioned in past weeks, this lady is wild and mostly untrained. I used 2 lst clips once to move two branches as they were all growing straight up together and I could foresee mold issues. Wanted to see how she’d grow without much manipulation. Shes only been topped and leaves tucked otherwise. Kinda missing the trellis :( Habits… Thanks for lookin✌️

01/22/25. Start of week 6 flower. Wellp this lady, aside from some funk ass leaves, is doing pretty well. Her buds continue developing and she’s smelling now… A LOT. Wow. She STINKS. Smells like feta cheese or something.. phew. The leaves getting nasty, that I mentioned last week, have gotten worse. Ugh. I thought then that it was maybe from having been overfed in the N department previously, and maybe a tad calcium deficiency. Based on that I gave her only water with silica and calmag. This did not help. It actually got way worse and now the spots look even kinda black. Kinda at a loss currently with what’s going on. It’s also very sporadic. Here and there leaves. Some are kinda thick and curled. I swear one day I’ll get the damn nutrition figured out 😒 Anyway, she’s drinking about a gallon and a half every 3 days. That’s what’s goin on currently. 1/28/25. Start of week 7 flower. We’re cruising now. Her buds have grown a bunch this past week, or well, fattened. Starting to see a few pistils turning color as well. Buds look great… leaves not so much.. well some of them. They look pretty rank. Yellowish on ends with a weird blackish purple weirdo area in the middle of the leaves. It kinda looks like senescence.. but like not the right color. Blackish? Nah. Anyway, it doesn’t seem to be affecting bud growth. Maybe there’s still enough leaves with green left. Either way, we’re not THAT far from done …so it’ll have to be what it is. I also fed back to back instead of skipping on watering. She’s drinking just shy of 2 gallons every 2 days. She was watered/fed today. I’ve increased light intensity/dim. 100 fucken percent. I mean the leaves are already funky lol. Might as well go crazy. She’s a loud one. Last week she smelled like some funk ass cheese. Tbh it was kinda not good, to me anyway. Now that smells still there.. but like more mellow with a sweetness to the funk. She’s sticky af. 02/04/25. Start of week 8 flower Well last time I was going on about the leaves being funky and how there’s no way that was normal looking for a fade. Guess I was wronnnnng. Apparently funky black looking crap can turn purple?? I checked her trichs a few days ago and honestly they were looking pretty done, or done enough to me. Seemed pretty early though at week 7 and I’m glad I waited as she still fattened more. Chop is basically coming anytime now though. She’s all kinda striped colored now and I’m checking trichs each day now. I don’t wanna get TOO much amber, but also wanna give her any bit of finishing left that I can. She hasn’t been fed for about a week, she’s just had plain not even ph’d water. Last water I gave her was like 3 days ago and the soil looks wet wet still so she’s not drinking much at all now. So yeah, thanks for following along with the stinky nasty grease monkey! 🐒🐒🐒🐒 Next update will definitely be harvest 😀 02/08/25. Chopped

So this purple and green striped lady turned out lovely. When she first started smelling I honestly thought this was gonna be not good lol. I almost gagged from the smell. It was like a rotten cheese .. or idek. It was bad. Some people might like that, but yeah..no. Anyhow, as time went on that smell started to fade and I kept smelling blueberries with that faint cheesy after smell. Fast forward to a couple days jarred and wow. Very pungent. Like smell everything up. It’s a gassy artificial blueberry that smells great now. She looked rough for a week or so. I thought something went terribly wrong and wondered what I fucked yo this time lol. There was black looking crap, almost like burned toast color, on her leaves. This wound up turning purple and looked beautiful. Okay okay I’ll shut up and get to: She hung in a half open tent, in the dark, with a little fan moving air around the bottom. Kept as close to 60/60 as I could .. which actually wound up being about 67f average and 58-62 humidity. She was dried to my liking at 8 days. She then went into jars and had had a couple samples. I’m sure she’ll get even better with the cure, but delicious right off the dead plant. I will be growing this again, as I let her just be, with minimal training and I didn’t trellis as I usually do. I wanted to try a grow with little to no intervention, just letting the plants grow as they wanted. It was very very hard to look at them and not mess with them lol. I feel there would be a much bigger yield with proper training and MUH TRELLIS. At least lotsa training. A lil over 3 oz, for not doing anything really, is cool with me. ✌️
