GanjaGecko The seeds were soaked in a glass with two drops of Seedbooster Plus from Plagron for about 18 hours, and then it was off to the seedling pots for the soon-to-be ladies. The substrate mix consists of BioBizz Lightmix, about 20% coco with some perlite and Mega Worm from Plagron.
Watering was done with BioEnhancer from GreenHouseFeeding.
A total of 5 seeds were prepared. Unfortunately, only 3 have seen the light of day. I was hoping for at least 4, ideally all 5, so that I could select. Now I've added three more seeds, which were actually meant for the next run from the 5-pack. So, fate is kindly pointing me towards other strains to try out. This isn't due to the failures; it just happens. The problem is that there aren't enough seeds left for the next grow, so it will be something different. For now, I'm really looking forward to the next run of Blueberry Muffin from the Humboldt Seed Company. 💚

GanjaGecko The "smallest" Blueberry Muffin of the three ladies that hatched first is now separately in the propagation tent. The latecomer looks a bit sturdier in growth and hopefully will catch up quickly with just a 4-day delay. If necessary, the ladies can still be swapped. The hope is that the other 3 ladies have a roughly similar growth pattern to have a somewhat even canopy later in flowering.
The Blueberry Muffin was placed in a 12L fabric pot with a substrate mix of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and about 20% coco with perlite (70/30). For the growth phase, there are about 11L of substrate in the pot. The last liter of substrate will be added with the flowering fertilizer when switching the lighting time to 12/12. Additionally, for soil improvements, there was 1 teaspoon per liter of Mega Worm from Plagron. In the pot where the Blueberry Muffin has found its place, the substrate was sprinkled with some Great White Mycorrhiza. On the surface, there was just under 60g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding, which was thoroughly mixed into the substrate. The recommendation is 3-5g per liter of substrate. In the last grow, I used 4g/L. That was a bit tight for a growth phase of 8 weeks. It couldn't have stayed in growth much longer. That's why there's now 5g/L. There shouldn't be any problems with that.
The soil was moistened with a pressure sprayer/tree sprayer, and then the Blueberry Muffin received 1ml/L of PowerRoots and 1g/L of BioEnhancer. 2× 250ml at a pH of 6.0.

GanjaGecko Week 2 of the growth of the BlueberryMuffin is over. I don't know if I was careless while repotting or if it's the lady. She's developing two main stems without any conscious topping and has a little bend. However, nothing is broken. Maybe she knew that the path would lead to topping sooner or later and decided to do it voluntarily🤣 She has been holding back on growth from the start, unlike her two sisters who are in the larger tent with a 4-day younger latecomer. I'll see how she develops, and in the worst case, I might need to plant another seed. So far, she looks healthy, and considering she has already developed two main stems, she's growing quite okay. The coming week will show.

Fertilizing:
Watering is done with water that has been aerated for at least 24 hours with an aquarium pump in a 10L watering can. The amount taken is as much as the ladies require and is mixed with one or another additive, depending on the stage of the ladies.
On Day 10, the BlueberryMuffin received 1ml/L of PowerRoots. This was adjusted to a pH of 6.1. The soil was moistened on the surface, and then there were 2×250ml.
On Day 13, she got 1ml/L of PowerRoots and 1ml/L of PureZym. Again, there were 2×250ml with a pH of 6.1.

GanjaGecko Week 3 was exciting. She actually developed 2 main stems without topping. I looked for a break point but didn’t find any. At the second node, both stems come out side by side on one side and are not opposite each other. Considering she was under stress so early, the little one is developing very well. I’m looking forward to next week. Some stems look slightly "twisted." If that stays, I’m still considering adding a lady. Let’s see. I’ll keep an eye on the little one. Maybe it’s just the early stress.

GanjaGecko Week 4 went super. The BlueberryMuffin is developing very evenly. On day 24, the Blueberry received a slight LST on the two main stems. This way, the small side branches also get some light. The light is still set to 2×20W and is 30cm away. The BlueberryMuffin is now getting around 330ppfd and has a DLI of 20.5.
Three to four large leaves that were covering the side branches were removed.

GanjaGecko Week 5 went so well that the BlueberryMuffin is moving into the original tent. This will fill the other tent better and possibly save 1 to 2 weeks of growth. Here and there, a few leaves were removed. On day 34, the BlueberryMuffin swapped places with her sister. The lady has grown quite well, and Lady #3 from the other grow will find her place here. Mother Nature is being very accommodating at the moment. The VPD is averaging 0.62, which is quite optimal for this stage. The temperature is between 23-25°C, and the humidity is between 60-70%.

GanjaGecko Week 6 was pretty relaxed. On Day 40, there was minimal defoliation and some shoots were topped. This way, the little side shoots can catch up, and hopefully in one to two weeks, there will be an even canopy to send the Blueberry Muffin into flowering. The humidity is at 60-70% and the temperature is between 23-25°C. The VPD is between 0.6-0.7. Occasionally, the window is opened briefly when the humidity in the room is at 70%. When the humidity drops just below 60%, the window is closed again. This lasts for about 3-4 hours. If there was space for a larger tent, a dehumidifier would probably move in. It wouldn't be worth it for the small tent right now. As long as there isn't a larger tent, the VPD is kept under manual control.

GanjaGecko Week 8 of the BlueberryMuffin went quite relaxed. The stretching of the shoots is slowly starting. Not much else needed to be done. It probably won't need a scrog net either. Here and there, a few leaves were removed that were covering other shoots. By now, she's become nicely bushy and is stretching out well.
Keeping the optimal VPD was a bit tricky with the weather at the moment. The temperatures were around 24°C and the humidity around 60%. With some occasional ventilation of the room, it occasionally moved towards the targeted 50%. Hopefully, the soon-to-be cooler days will make it a bit more pleasant to get the VPD into the optimal range.

GanjaGecko In week 9, the BlueberryMuffin received a lollipopping and a little defoliation so it could focus on the strong shoots and flowers. By the end of this week, the BlueberryMuffin had formed its first visible signs of flowering. One of the two SanlightQ1Wdim was increased by another 10W to 40W on day 59, so the BlueberryMuffin is now supplied with 70W (30W+40W). As a result, the BlueberryMuffin gets around 700 ppfd from day 15 after switching to 12/12.
Maintaining the VPD was very pleasant this week thanks to the low temperatures. The temperatures in the tent were at 23°C and the humidity at 50-55%. It was a bit of work, but now on vacation, you can ventilate the room whenever the humidity climbs above 60%. You can then bring the humidity down to about 40%, and it takes about 3 hours for the humidity to rise above 60% again, at which point it will be ventilated for a few minutes.

GanjaGecko Week 11
Lady Blueberry is slowly developing beautiful buds that start to spread a slightly sweet scent as soon as you take a look inside the tent💚 Here and there, a few leaves are removed to ensure good air circulation and to allow other headbuds to get a bit more direct light. The two LEDs are regularly adjusted to a distance of 30cm. Otherwise, we just watch them grow.

GanjaGecko In week 11, not much was done except for providing the Blueberry with a few additives and watching the buds grow. All in all, the BlueberryMuffin is very stress-free and is happily growing along💚 the stretch has set in this week. From now on, the BlueberryMuffin will focus solely on its flowers🍀
Maintaining the VPD was very pleasant this week thanks to the low temperatures. With a small open corner at the top of the tent, humidity and temperature are kept in almost optimal range. The temperatures were between 24-26°C and humidity at 40-50%.
VPD: 1.09-1.32 kPa

GanjaGecko Week 12
The BlueberryMuffin is developing very nice buds and is also looking good in terms of trichomes. There wasn’t much to do. The BlueberryMuffin was provided with supplements and received plenty of encouragement. This is the best time in the grow. Just watching the buds get prettier and prettier💚 I think the Blueberry will stay in the tent for a maximum of two more weeks before being harvested.

GanjaGecko Week 13
The BlueberryMuffin has developed beautifully once again. The buds are slowly taking on a strong violet hue and are exuding that intensely sweet blueberry scent💚
The trichomes are mostly milky so far. I'm still waiting for the buds lower down to swell a bit more. At the beginning to mid-next week, the BlueberryMuffin will be hung up to dry.
On day 97/50F, it received water for the last time. It should be a bit dried out in the pot by day 101/54F and hopefully ready to be hung up.
It could definitely stay a few days longer. This time, however, there's less time towards the end. The room where the ladies are will be slightly rearranged next week. Therefore, the ladies will be harvested as early as possible. Basically at the maximum minimum of ripeness, so that all the work and love weren't in vain.
Maintaining the VPD was a bit more work this week than in the past weeks. The tent was opened ¾ at the front, and the door of the room where the tent is was propped open. This helped keep the humidity and temperature in a somewhat optimal range. The temperatures are between 24-26°C and the humidity at 40-50%.

GanjaGecko Week 14
The renovation of the gardens actually took place during the week. So the BlueberryMuffin spent the last two days in the new 60×60 tent. Maybe the stress of moving will have a positive effect on the terps 🍀
This Blueberry also has beautiful purple colors in the buds and smells incredibly intense like blueberries. Crazy.
On day 104/57F, the BlueberryMuffin was then turned upside down to dry. The harvest update will probably follow next week.
Keeping the VPD was a bit easier this week. The tent was opened ¾ at the front, and the door of the room where the tent is located was propped open. This helped maintain humidity and temperature in a somewhat optimal range. The temperatures are between 24-26°C and the humidity is at 40-50%.

Ein Strain in den ich mich sehr verliebt habe. Ich krieg von diesen Blueberry-terps nicht genug. Die Terps sind bei allen Phenos ziemlich ähnlich. Der Ertrag unterscheidet da doch etwas mehr.

GanjaGecko With the temperatures outside slightly below zero, it has been a bit difficult, or rather impossible, to maintain the 60% humidity for a gentle drying process. I couldn't turn the heater down any further because the next ladies have already hatched and prefer it a bit warmer.
So after 5 days, the harvest was prepped, and then the ladies went into the jar with 58% Boveda packs.
Even though I only planted 1 Bl. Muffin, she's already a little step ahead. I can hardly wait until I can smell the buds of the still-living lady live and not just the unbelievably delicious buds that other grow bros have already dried.
Happy and healthy. I'm glad to see you're handling the nutrients perfectly. No stress to see. Top green side branches. You can also see smaller stress in veg on those. If I may be a bit of a know-it-all and suggest something to you. Until a few years ago, I also had 2 grow areas. If you stagger the timing, you have a fresh harvest every 2 months. I really miss that right now. Good luck with these phenos, though they are bred so stable that there won't be a dud among them.
@Stony_German, thank you. Glad to hear that.
Yes, always bring on the tips 💪🏼. Always happy to help. Once the grow is finished, I’ll be making a few changes anyway. With a bit of shuffling around, a little experience in Tetris, and maybe some persuasion with the government at home 😂, I can fit two 60×60 tents for the next grow. The second one will only be 160cm high due to a sloped ceiling, so that’s where the more indica-like ladies will go. And I’ll only be putting two ladies per 60×60 tent. Three ladies are just too many. I’ll start with three ladies per tent and the weakest one will go. Then I just need to make sure I have a small breeding station for the first to second week so I have a closed-loop system. That way, while the ladies are drying in the tent, the next ones can start. I don’t think I’ll manage the thing with the suitcases and the wardrobe for now. I’m quite happy that it’s just two 60×60 tents for now 🙂
As for Lady #3 in the foreground, I’m still not quite sure. That’s the one that topped itself. But I’m feeling good about Lady #1 & #2.
Very nice. It’s almost on autopilot for you. I also enjoy reading how you’re becoming more confident, and I can agree with you on almost everything. If I may give you a little tip again. When I sometimes have problems with humidity just like you, I do it the same way but I also open the grow box a bit from the bottom. The carbon filter or fan sucks air from the top, and since you’re pulling in from the bottom, the air circulates much better. Sure, both methods work, but just a bit better, buddy. I have a box fan always under the leaf canopy for the same humidity problem. The buds already look delicious; you’re the Bl. Muff. pro here :-))
@Stony_German, yeah sure you know, always bring on the tips 💪🏽 when it's around 10°C outside like now, I keep the tents open longer. Right now, it's enough to the lower corner. If it gets warmer, I like to keep the tents open until the lights go out with a standing fan in front. The days when it was around 0°C outside were lovely. The corner open, the room door half open, and a bit of draft in the hallway with the bathroom and kitchen windows tilted had around 40% humidity in the tent at about 24°C all day. I just had to make it clear to the government at home that it's cheaper this way than getting a dehumidifier that just sits around 😂 A few weeks ago, I "installed" two PC fans below the canopy. I probably had some issues with spider mites during the last grow due to insufficient air circulation below the canopy. At first, I thought the spots on the leaves were due to potassium or magnesium deficiency. But the spots didn't turn brown. After removing and examining the leaves, I saw that the little bastards were causing trouble on the underside of the leaf. That's why I now have ventilation below the canopy and predatory mites for the ladies 😄 I hope they'll be ready soon. I want to start setting up the second 60 tent. The old Sanlight Q3W is going in there first 💪🏽 I'm also itching to try out the new strains.
