Week 0 ! 👇
New Try! New Setup! Wild Variety.
So i basically chose a bunch of strains i really wanted to try or had in my collection fo a while now so i try another multigrow.
Also first CO2 Controller Enriched Grow for me.
The semi-automatic DIY Drip system I painstakingly put together may need some tweaking or replacement but seems to work after some Testing.
Most Seeds Germinated without Problems and are kept in the cups until i see some roots then will be repotted into their final 12L Fabric Pots.
Tangerine Dream and Weddig Cake had some duds but that might be my fault but im not sure about the reason. Second beans are in. ( Sprouted 12.11 both)
The Soil is a Mixture of Plagron Pro-Mix, Perlite, Vermiculite, and some old Biobizz-All mix i freshend up with Worm castings and some Supermix Powder from Plagron.
Temps are constant at 26C and 60-70% RH Daytime and not lower than 21C at Night.
Will start adding CO2 when all seeds in the tent sprouted.
Week 1! 👇
All seeds finally popped, and now they only have like a Week between the first and the last sprout.
CO2 addition is also running now at a more or less constant level of 1200 ppm around the day. For now, I can only wonder how long the Gas Tank will run until I need to refill. The next couple of weeks will tell, I hope.
RH is a bit high bcs of the lack of constant ventilation, but not so much that I would see a problem.
Lamps are running at 40%, Temps are around 27C, have the Ventis running a bit stronger but not on the plants directly. (Level 4 of 10)
VPD Control will start when I get enough foliage for the IR-Sensor. (Shows around 7-8 right now, but who knows what it's actually reading)
So far all nice and dandy, will start with the Nutes the next watering. Half the recommended dosage first time.
Week 2! 👇
2 Plants with Problems. The Tangerine Dream is a bit mutated or has some other Problems but seems to slowly overcome it, I just keep her growing and see how it turns out. The Wedding Cake seems to be a bit slow but looks otherwise healthy. Might need a bit of extra care or attention.
The Rest is healthy, or catching up to the rest.
For now all is fine, BUT they are kinda short right now, and I try to fix that with a bit more water and hanging the light a bit higher.
Light Intensity is around 50% (System can choose between 40-60 depending on VPD and Temp)
Controller aiming for an VPD around 7-8
Had their first feed half the dosage recommended, will double next time and look how they react.
The Watering System is a bit wonky...hard to tell if every plant gets enough or too much right now, maybe it will show better when I have to water them more often. (NtS: If this doesn't work out, just get another Gardena Vacation Autodripper)
Don't really want to go for any training or Defo at the moment, ill do some mainlining or lollipop later depending on how things are going.
Week 3! 👇
The Growth is unreal. They take on so much mass in such a short time that I'm honestly impressed. Only gripe is that they grow short and compact for some reason...no idea why that's a thing or how to alleviate that. Not a Problem right now, flower might fix that anyway and i don't want to go for LST since the idea was LESS Maintenance. 😄
Apart from The Tangerine Dream (which is gone now) every single Plant is going fine. The Wedding Cake is catching up nicely too.
They now get the full recommended dosage of Nutrients, I just hadn't had the chance to add them since the Water retention is so high right now. Might be bcs of the slight overwatering from the last time when i had a bit of runoff or the CO2. The System ran for too long and 30L were too much to absorb.
Trimming was done to get 5 Colas, I mainlined the lowest 2 Branchnodes since they already reached the same high as the main cola. Could've left some of the bigger leaves, but I cut them for better access in case of any problems related to the watering.
Light is running around 50% right now.
I will let them recover for a week or two, then I go into flower👻
Week 4! 👇
Having a slight phosphorus Problem, meaning a lack of it. My guess is that i flushed it out that time the pump didn't stop running.
Applying some Foliar Spray to mitigate.
Apart from that the Growth is alright but stagnating a bit.
Will switch to flower the next week unless it gets worse.
Could be better but also worse. Whatever... New system, so I would wonder if it all went alright anyway 😄
Week 5 ! 👇
So I had them in Veg for like 2 more days, then decided to switch into flower after comparing and realizing that with the added CO2 it might get way too much to handle. The difference in growth compared to plants in the same age without additional CO2 supplementation is basically 1–2 Weeks. So far so good, but keeping the Temp/Hum in range is some work at times. The Cold Weather helps very much keeping it all in a manageable way.
A bit hard to take some good photos of them in detail...canopy shot must suffice for now. Apart from some tiny damages from the Phosphorus deficiency I had, they grow nice and healtyh again.
Light is running at 70% now I tried 80% for a day but the temps and Hum reached critical levels (up to 34C and 82%hum) 💀 70% Intensity is the sweet spot right now.
First time CO2 Bottle Change (I've should've looked beforehand where to refill them...👻 Good thing the Universe meant it well with me this time and I found a place before my tank ran out🙏)
So around 5 Weeks for a change +- considering I blew some out for nothing a couple of days having my windows open all the time, it could even hold on for longer, pushing it to around 6 even 7 weeks, maybe.
Good Week, could be worse.
Week 6! 👇
Removed the branches that I don't want to see growing and some of the sick leaves. Also repositioned them again for more convenience.
Apart from the Frozen Black Cherry and the NL#5 which are a bit colorless in comparison every single Plant is doing great.
Did lower the Intensity of the Light to 60% again 70% did work but was a bit too optimistic for this stage.
Feed is currently 20L for all with the full recommended Nutrients. Watering them around every 5-7 Days now.
Everything else is stable so far.
Good Week. 👻
Week 7! 👇
Bruh 💀
4! Plants straight up Hermied and had to be removed before the could pollinate the rest of the Tent...no tolerance in my tent sry.
They also Grew without any Problems so im wondering if this is even stress related maybe...
Well shit happens i guess. Sucks hard to lose 5 out of 8 Plants from bad Genetics or whatever caused them to herm in the end.
So yeah this Week sucked for this entry 😹
Atleast the rest Grew without Problems and has more space now 😸
Week 8!👇
Everything still fine so far. Thinking about some N deficiency, but just might be something else. Don't want to overdo it at this point, being all safer than sorry.
Last 3 Ladies left are doing nicely and are starting to form Buds growth is healthy im just a bit concerned about the NL#5 since this is the first time i just let her grow without any training ( you can see i guess) Nebula on the other hand is just looking so cool with those fine hairs , optically my favourite rn. FBC looking a little bit like its about to foxtail... i hope its just my paranioa speaking here.
Can go on like that unless it gets worse, of course...👻
Week 9! 👇
All 3 look fantastic and the different growth of them is just interesting to watch.
The NL#5 definitely more on the sativa site, Lady is very lanky.
Nebula just beautiful to look at.
The FBC also looking healthy, cant wait how the Buds are gonna look when they start to form for good.
So far so good, being a bit cautious about the Nutes given but them seem to don't mind getting the full dosage every watering ( every 3/4 waterings to be precise).
Watering every 3-4 Days now.
Temps/Hum/CO2 are stable VPD is whatever i dont really watch its set to like 1-1.2
So yeah can go on like that. 👻
Week 10! 👇
Aww man, finally the mistakes show itself...
My guess is some sort of overwatering and PH issues, which led to the weird growth and Zink(?) deficiency I'm currently experiencing.
Applied some Iron foliar feed since that's the only thing that had some Zink in it (didn't seem to work tho).
Kinda hope i at least can keep them stable in the last couple of weeks.
Manual beats Automatic in this case, lesson learned. Going to salvage what's left, and next time will be better. 👻
Week 11! 👇
Getting closer to the finish line!
Well the heavy fox tailing is ether stress or PH related... and I guess a mixture of overwatering and me experimenting with the intensity of the light did the trick💀
First Time CO2 and DIY Watering System. Could be worse...
I guess I give them at most 3 Weeks more since things are more or less stable. 👻
Week 12! 👇
Just checked the Trichomes and saw some Amber on the NL5 so i will cut her shortly.
FBC and the NL5 are sadly fox tailing hard, at least the FBC still has some decent smell and is still somewhat going but the NL5 which is usually a safe pick just has nothing..nether smell nor decent buds. Sucks but i need to be more careful next time.
Nebula still doing fine but needs a bit longer just like the FBC.
Could be worse.
Week 13!
Last Week for them.
The smell is very pleasant, and I am just waiting for some amber Trichomes. No Nutrients just Water. Also no Flush needed since its an Organic grow.
Look a bit down since the Pictures were taken right before watering. 👻
Also, Hermied around W7...
Growth was normal till then. No smell tho or any signs of deficency.
I kinda hope that it was stress related and basically on my part.
My Favourite! Oh, i really killed the terps on her this time. Almost no flavor since i stressed her out with my light experiments and the overwatering induced deficiency by the DIY watering System.
Tried to just let her grow this time, and she really showed her Sativa side this time.
