The germination process went smoothly, except for the Swiss Dream Rose strain. Swiss Dream Rose is already exhibiting delayed growth characteristics and leaf deformities at this stage.
During the first week, I followed the BioBizz nutrient schedule and exposed the plants to approximately 300 PPFD. The distance of the lamp was consistently around 35 cm.
During the second week, the plants continued to grow normally and had already developed new pairs of leaves. However, the Swiss Dream Rose still exhibited delayed growth. One of the two plants showed almost no development, and its leaves remained deformed and unhealthy.
In the third week, I transplanted the plants, which now resemble cuttings, into their final pots with a volume of approximately 14 liters. Afterward, I watered them with the nutrient solution according to BioBizz's week 3 feeding schedule. The soil consists of layers of worm humus, Light Mix, and All Mix. All plants, except for the Kannabia Swiss Dream Rose, are developing well. One of the two seedlings was discarded at this point.
About two days after transplanting, there were no signs of stress on the plants anymore.
The plants have adapted well to the new substrate after being transplanted and have picked up speed in growth. Some leaves in the lowest section seemed slightly deformed or showed minor deficiencies. This week, I started topping the plants and shaping the first branches with LST training.
At the beginning of the fifth week, the plants had been topped, and I started with LST training. You could literally watch them grow daily. Over the week, they grew extremely bushy. Any issues with nutrient deficiencies or deficiency symptoms were not a problem so far.
In the sixth week, all the plants, despite their different genetics, began the early flowering phase. By this time, they had grown significantly wider and continued to become very bushy. LST training was applied almost daily in the morning so that the plants could stretch back toward the light throughout the day. In some cases, I also had to start partially removing leaves.
The flowering phase is now underway, and all three strains are developing very well. However, each strain has its unique characteristics. The Fast Eddy from Royal Queen Seeds is focusing more on the mass and size of the colas. The Green Crack F1 from Zamnesia has grown incredibly tall at a rapid pace. The Swiss Dream Rose from Kannabia is beautifully coloring its sugar leaves purple, and by the end of the week, the frosting and the density of trichomes are already visible.
In the 8th week, I regularly pruned the plants to remove excess leaves, focusing on old and unhealthy ones. This also improved airflow through the plants, reducing the risk of mold. I began gradually reducing fertilizer to lower the nitrogen content in the plants. The flowers have a strong demand for water, requiring watering almost daily or every two days, with up to 2 liters per plant. To ensure proper support, I consistently provide CalMag.
The trichomes continue to develop well. However, most are still clear and transparent, though some are starting to turn cloudy. According to the plan, the Swiss Dream Rose and Fast Eddy should be nearing completion, while the Green Crack F1 from Zamnesia is expected to take about 11–12 weeks in total. Personally, I determine the harvest time based on the trichomes, waiting until they turn amber.
The plants are still developing well.
The fan leaves are starting to change color. All the plants have a beautiful trichome structure. Unfortunately, no amber-colored ones have formed yet.
The Zamnesia Green Crack has grown significantly again and produced plenty of flowers.
I estimate about 2-3 more weeks until the plants are ready for harvest.
We are now in the 10th week of the flowering phase. The plants are clearly showing that they are nearing the end of their life cycle and transitioning toward autumn. The trichomes have not yet fully developed an amber color across the board. Many of the trichomes are milky and slightly orange. At the end of this flowering week, the plants will be left in darkness for 48 hours. I have already started giving the plants only very small amounts of water, so that not too much moisture needs to evaporate during the drying process.
The Fast Eddy also had a good grow, but it was thirstier than the other plants. It developed a somewhat pungent smell, which was occasionally a bit annoying. However, the buds look top-notch, although the trichomes could have had a touch more amber.
The harvest went great overall, but the Swiss Dream seemed like it still wasn’t quite ready to be harvested. The underside of its leaves had a deep purple color, and it smells amazing. Unfortunately, growing this plant was very demanding and not easy to care for at all.
The Green Crack got off to a fantastic start right from the beginning. The plant grew beautifully and without any issues. Throughout the grow, I always had the feeling it just wanted to keep producing more flowers. The trichomes took a bit of time to develop, but everything else was amazing. The plant’s scent was very pleasant, and its water consumption was moderate. All in all, I can highly recommend Green Crack for cultivation. After drying and curing, we’ll see what else this plant has to offer.
