Like most decent sativas Strawberry Lemonade gives an uplifting energetic high which doesn't lock you to a couch. A great day time or out and about strain to smoke if not wanting to feel tired and lethargic. π
Having not been overly impressed with Canna's "Boost" for the price, I decided to go with a cheaper alternative as reccomended by a friend. Can't say I could tell any difference from Canna's boost except the price tag! 8/10!
First and foremost if you are after a 50/50 hybrid of something that knocks you out like cheese then this isn't for you. Strawberry Lemonade is definately sativa heavy. The plants stretched like sativas during flowering and the high provided is certainly an uplifting and productive high as opposed to a monged out high. π
In terms of growing difficulty they have provided little complaints or problems even when fed with a very basic feeding schedule. This just goes to show how hardy and easy to grow this particular strain is. I saw some signs of heat damage during the crazy heat wave we had but besides that they've been great.
In terms of yield I was hoping for at least 1g per watt as I've never done this strain before, nor had to work in such cramped conditions. Yield wise saw a final weigh in of just over 1400g which equals 1.08g per watt. π3
I currently have the second gen cuttings just starting week 1 this time with more LST and an added SCROG net so I'll be hoping to bump that up to 1.15g - 1.2g per watt.
Overall Barneys Strawberry Lemonade gets the following ratings from me:
Overall ease of growth: 7/10.
Overall quality of buds: 8/10.
Overall high from buds: 7/10.
Would I grow it again? Yes - I already am!
Would I reccomend it to a beginner? Yes - just watch the height of them, don't flip them too late!
So that's it for this one guys, I might add the results from the second one at some point but would like to try Barneys "GORILLA ZKITTLEZ" next after having HUGE sucess with Sweet Seeds "GORILLA GIRL".
Until next time, stay high! B00ST. π½β
This strain is no doubt Sativa heavy, cross of Strawberry cough is known to keep people awake. Iβm creating a monster of a female. Your garden looks epic!
@Excalibur, Not tried growing any of Barney's things before, this is my first grow with them as a breeder - but I've always found most of their smoke on offer in Amsterdam fairly enjoyable so thought I'd give it a shot! Everythings dialed in pretty well at the moment so we'll have to wait and see what the final product is like! π Enjoy the ride!
How many different phenos have you noticed? I have one which is really dense, and another that is thinner but twice the trichome coverage and intense lemon citrus smell! Looking good ππππ
@Trichoterpz, I haven't pulled them out and inspected individually but I'd say they're all pretty damn similar. Due to them being cramped right in if I try remove one for inspection branches will snap from being over weight with nugs at this point. They support each other you see. Normally with more space I'd bamboo cane them all but in these circumstances it isn't possible now. π
Your canopy will be directly up in your lights by the end of week 10 lol the tent is packed ;) They look extremely healthy - can't wait to try this strain.
@GreenHouseLab, heh, time shall tell but I usually "pack out" the tent because I worry I haven't vegged them for long enough! π Thanks they are certainly looking good! I'm also keen to see the finished product and will do a nice write up toward the end for everyone. π
@Cultus, cheers mate, a little bit of topping and basic feed combined with decent lighting seems to do wonders these days! "Keep it simple" is my motto and it seems to work for me. π
