Starting my first Blue Zushi in a Brand new Mars Hydro 60x120 powered by a 300W TSL-2000.
Germinating in a 3,8l fabric pot. 8g of Greenhouse Feeding BioGrow was added to the soil. No additives to the water except the occasional GF BioEnhancer for the whole grow :)
Soon two other plants will move in with the Blue Zushi: two Runtz by Zamnesia to compete in the eternity cup! There will be a seperate diary documenting my eternity cup progress.
Veg starts three days after germination. The plant had some struggle with her baby leafs and even lost one that kinda dried up and didnt open properly. Apart from that she seems healthy and is now growing up day by day.
The soil is amendet with GreenHouse Feeding BioGrow and onyl watered with tapwater.
Start of week 2, Blue Zushi is loving life so far!
Watering every second day at the moment. On day 8 she recieved some BioEnhancer, which will be repeated every two weeks from now on.
Veg week 4 starts with topping and defoliation. Until now the plant was growing without any training, which lead to a bushy structure with the sidebranches blocked by bigger leaves.
After topping and taking out some fan leaves I am hoping for strong growth to the sides. Temporary stakes bend the sidebranches and will soon be replaced by wires. She can take a few days to recover, then I will transplant her to a 20 Liter AutoPot.
On day 22 I watered her with some Green House BioEnhancer
On day 24 the Blue Zushi was transplanted into a 20 l fabric AutoPot with some GreenHouse BioBloom and a little bit of BioGrow. Once she shows me that she can take up water from the autopot by herself we are off to flowering. Sadly I broke one sidebranch while transplanting :/
After the stress of training, defoliating, transplanting and breaking a branch the Blue Zushi looked kinda beat up.
By now she starts getting comfortable in the new pot. I am training a little bit for better light distribution, but mainly let her do her thing.
This will be her last week of veg before switching to 12/12
Day 1 of week 6 also marks the first day with a light schedule of 12/12.
On flower day 1 she was given the usual BioEnhancer. Apart from that she only recieves tapwater via the AutoPot.
On day 8 of flower I took out a bunch of leaves to bring more light on the lower nodes. There are many future bud sites waiting to be uncovered. Some lollipopping in about two weeks time will definitly be necessary.
Apart from the defoliation evertyhing progresses normaly. The Blue Zushi lacks a bit behind her two sisters, but I make mistakes on my part repsonsible for that.
On day 12, only four days after defoliation, she already bounced back and looks way bigger than before the leaves were taken off.
On day 15 I gave another round of BioEnhacer.
After defoliating and training last week the lower, smaller grow sites got really dense, so I applied some early lollipopping and light defoliation.
Buds are beginning to form but not quite there yet :)
Day 22 of flower - finally some buds!
Bud development started midway through week 3 after switching to 12/12.
She is stretching a bit with roughly two centimeters of vertical grow each day, so I got to adjust the lights more often to keep a distance of 40 cm. Lights are still running on 75%, so approximatly 225 watts of power.
Quite a stretch on the Blue Zushi! I hope she is done soon, as her Runtz sisters are staying shorter so far.
Buds are growing nicely with some nice trichomes already. They have a really sour-fruity smell, if that translates to the taste I am in for a treat.
On day 29 the Blue Zushi was watered with some BioEnhancer. Since she is sharing the AutoPot water tank with two Runtz who are competimg in the eternity cup, the Blue Zushi recieves PLAHRON Green Sensation as well. Using Green Sensationis required to take part in the eternity cup and I add it directly to the reservoir, so the plants have it available 24/7
week 11 starts on day 36 of flower. All the buds are frosting up nicely. The smell after touching the flowers is sour in a fruity way.
Plagron Green Sensation is still fed through the AutoPot reservoir
Like every second week, the Blue Zushi was topwatered at the begin of week 12 with some Bio Enhancer. Additionally to that, she really seems to like the Plagron Green Sensation in her watering tank.
The buds are frosting up nicely, the sour smell is intensifying as well. If she continues to develop like that I can guarantee that Blue Zushi by Dutch Passion will be a reocurring genetic in my growtent!
A fotoshoot with long exposure produced some really nice pictures
Everything going amazing. A fresh-sour citrus smell is filling my growroom. The trichomes are so fat you can check the ripeness with your bare eyes. I guess harvest comes in two weeks, so Im letting the plants use up the remaining water with PLAGRON Green Sensation and will give pure tapwater afterwards till the end.
I am lowering the night time temps to promote some colours, so far there are some purples developing
