Schnabeldino πThe First Grow Cup Diaryπ
- Eternity Grow Cup 2025 | sponsored by Plagron x Zamnesia-
π’ Okay guys...what can I say...the parcel carrier stole 2 weeks of veggie phase from me...:( ...a little bit late, but here we are...normally I'm not a person of many words, I prefer to let pictures speak for themselves. But since Zamnesia and Plagron have decided to start a cup and provide us with the seeds and fertilizer, it's top notch. And for this you will receive a diary built up with love as a thank you β€οΈ
Normally I would plant all 5 seeds, but unfortunately I don't have that much space and therefore there will only be 3. I have to use my grow tent for the vegetation phase and then I will move to my regular tent for flowering. Depending on the schedule, I aim for a vegie of 8-10 weeks, let's see how they will develop.
I hope this is only the first cup of many others and I wish everyone who participates good luck π€π€ and may the light always be supplied with power.
I'm looking forward to many exciting diaries and buds so big that you can smell them through the pictures and I hope I'll learn some interesting new things again. I have never grown Runtz but so far I got along well with all the ladies....
Big Thank you to Zamnesia & Plagron for the free contest pack β€οΈπ
Leeeeets goo...your π¦

π 06/07.01.25 - I put the 3 seeds in a glass of water and let them soak up for 12 hours, I will then wrap the seeds in paper towels and place them on the heater ~22-24Β°
π 08.01.25 - I placed the 3 seeds in coco Jiffy and put them in my plant virtrine where they are under a Sanlight FLEX II with 200 PPFD...wait until there heads pop out π±
π 10.01.25 - first head pops out
π 11.01.25 - Slowly I have the feeling that the other two will not come anymore...annoying and rare...then I will probably germinate the others I still have
π 12.01.25 - I have now planted the other two directly into the substrate after germination to see what happens this time π€
π14.01.25 - Good news, the other two seeds came straight away, put them all under die ViparSpectra 150 Watt on 200 PPFD

πΈ So Runtz #1 is now exactly 8 days old...the other two hatched 3 days later.
πΈ I fertilize with Advanced Nutrients and use half the dosage as indicated, I have mixed a 1 liter bottle and add as needed.
πΈ I only gave the 3 sweeties water with nutrients once, about 150 ml per plant, that was enough for the whole week.

πΈ Looks like my Runtz is more Indica...the leaves are very dark and wide...I have seen many Runtz here that are much thinner and more Sativa like...I am curious to see what comes out of it.
πΈ They are developing very well ,in this phase I don't do much I push the branches down and make sure they all get the same amount of light, I remove 1 or 2 leaves, but not too much at once
πΈ My favorite is clearly Runtz #1, it grows nicely evenly and is doing the best of all 3....Runtz #2 is also doing very well, but Runtz #3 doesn't look very nice, the nodes are quite far apart on the main stem.

πΈ I didn't spend much time with the ladies this week, I had a lot to do and then there was the carnival. So this week just a little video of the three cuties. I try to cut off as few leaves as possible and try to do more with LST. It doesn't look very nice, but the fewer leaves you cut, the faster the plant grows....Yes, I know it itches in your fingers to cut every day, but just give your plants a rest.
πΈ Runtz 1 and 2 are doing really well and look just as I imagined. Runtz 1 looks a bit thirsty and therefore lets the leaves hang a bit.
πΈ I can't do much LST with Runtz 3 because the main branches on the stem are a bit broken and I don't want to break them off completely...shit happens hehe.

last Days
πΈEverything looks great so far, I'm very happy with the look of the plants, they could have been a bit thicker buds, but I can't complain about the lights hehe. They all smell about the same but all look different in terms of bud shape. I'm curious to see how they will taste. π
πΈthe last two times she was watered she only got tap water, I think for Runtz#3 it was too dry and too much light in the end, I haven't really checked and measured it for the last 2 weeks. I also let them dry out almost completely the last 2 times, Runtz 1 and 2 coped better. Doesn't look nice, of course, but shouldn't have any negative effects.
πΈI had invited friends for trimming and still had to take pictures...well they weren't helpful in any case haha :D:D But they did an excellent job with the trimming and help a lot π
πΈHarvest is complete and I will update my harvest report as soon as everything is dry

They were absolutely lovely the entire run. Took the LST like champs! The stretch was very manageable, though I canβt give you exact numbers β no one tried to kiss the grow lights, so I call that a win. All the plants showed a pretty similar phenotype and gave me strong indica vibes with their leaf structure. Towards the end, I maybe could have paid more attention to light intensityβ¦ but hey, live and learn β the results still speak for themselves.
Plant 1: 416 g wet
Plant 2: 635 g wet
Plant 3: 779 g wet
The rest β small buds and frosty sugar leaves β are packed up in freezer bags, patiently waiting to become some delicious bubble hash. Iβll definitely update the diary when that happens!
Hereβs a quick bud breakdown:
Runtz #1 had the smallest buds but looked frosty as a winter morning.
Runtz #2 showed off some beautiful colors and produced tight, trichome-loaded nuggets.
Runtz #3 went full beast mode β biggest buds, most eye-catching looks, my personal fave.
One leans more fruity, another sweeter and a bit gassy β Iβm really excited to see how they develop after curing in jars.

Schnabeldino As always, it was an absolute blast running this grow from start to finish. And letβs be honest β itβs twice the fun when thereβs something at stake. You know how poker without stakes works? Yeah, you just go all-in every hand and it ends up feeling like playing Uno with your grandma. So, a big shoutout to Zamnesia and Plagron for the opportunity β and fingers crossed for many more competitions in the future!
Honestly, I didnβt expect such a huge response at the start. I just did my thing, put in the usual love and effort. Of course, I had help from my better half (yes, better third, because all he did was take photos and act like a pro π). Big thanks to everyone for all the kind comments and likes! I couldnβt keep up with every reply β you know how the chat system here is, right? Like Windows 95 running on a potato. And donβt even ask me why the videos play like a slideshow, i have broken them down to 1 pixel haha β your guess is as good as mine.
Now to the plants β they were absolutely lovely the entire run. Took the LST like champs! The stretch was very manageable, though I canβt give you exact numbers β no one tried to kiss the grow lights, so I call that a win. After about 20 pairs of gloves, cleaning the trimmers 10 times, and a few hours of trimming and puffin with some brave friends, we finally got it all done. We started with roughly 3 kg of plant material, and after wet trimming, ended up with 1.83 kg of buds:
Plant 1: 416 g
Plant 2: 635 g
Plant 3: 779 g

Me and my friends are super happy with the outcome. Even my mom gave it a test β and if she gives the thumbs up, you know itβs the real deal! π
@MonyetDiablero, thank you so much bro - I'm just imagining if I'd had Sanlights before the Cup. The Cherry and Hippo were still in the tent, I think all 5 plants will be over 800g. Mom was satisfied but had to cough because it was still relatively fresh, I gave her my vaporizer hehe. ππππ
Lass es dir schmecken, wirklich ein gelungener Growπ
