SolitudeCorners Blue Banana Cream Grow Diary – Mademen Genetics
Week Overview:
This week went smoothly, with noticeable plant stretch and the first signs of trichome production. The differences between the two phenotypes are becoming more distinct.
Pheno 1:
Exhibiting a unique and pleasant dessert-like aroma
Producing a thick layer of trichomes
Buds appear smaller in size but have a frosty coating
Pheno 2:
Showing some mutations, with a few plants developing hermie traits
Some plants have a sharp, sour undertone, while the mutated ones lack any scent
Dense trichome production
Buds are more compact compared to Pheno 1
Significant vertical stretch, nearly doubling in height
To maintain canopy structure and improve airflow, defoliation and lollipopping were performed on the 27th. The plants are progressing well, and I’m excited to see how they continue to develop in the upcoming weeks.
SolitudeCorners Blue Banana Cream by Mademen Genetics - Week 5 Update
VPD aim 1-1.2kPa
Continuing from the last update, this week has shown even more trichome development.
Pheno #1: Bud structure remains airy, but trichomes are steadily increasing
Pheno #2: Medium-density compact buds, showing traits reminiscent of the Banana lineage
The grow room is starting to fill with a stronger aroma as the plants enter the bud-building phase. Exciting progress ahead—thank you for following along!
SolitudeCorners Week 7 Grow : Blue Banana Cream by Mademen Genetics
We’re now at Week 7 with Blue Banana Cream, and this strain is really starting to show off. The buds are packing on size, leaning more towards a mid-compact structure. Trichome production is in full swing, with a frosty layer covering the flowers—definitely a promising sight for those looking forward to resin-heavy results.
Pistils are still mostly white, indicating there’s still some time left before full maturity. The aroma has intensified noticeably compared to previous weeks. It’s a mix of creamy banana sweetness with a sharp, gassy backend, making it more pronounced every time the tent is opened.
Structurally, the plant is handling the weight decently, but some branches are starting to droop under the growing mass of the buds. A little support might be needed in the final stretch.
With just a couple more weeks to go, the excitement is building. Now it's all about watching the trichomes, managing feeding carefully, and waiting for those pistils to turn for the perfect harvest window. Who's excited for the final stretch? 🌱🔥
SolitudeCorners We’re deep into Week 8, and Blue Banana Cream is stacking up beautifully. Trichomes are looking frosty, covering the buds in a thick, sticky layer—definitely a strain that’s going to shine post-cure.
The aroma has intensified compared to earlier weeks, now pushing out a stronger creamy, fruity scent with a slight gas undertone. Every time I open the tent, it hits harder. The buds are swelling up nicely, transitioning from airy to more mid-compact density. Pistils are still mostly white, meaning it’s got a bit more time before it fully ripens.
One thing I’ve noticed—the branches are starting to lean from the weight, so some light support might be needed to prevent them from bending too much in the final stretch. I’m keeping temps at 18-20°C and humidity around 55-60% to ensure a proper finish.
With harvest around the corner, it’s just about watching those trichomes shift from clear to cloudy/amber and letting this one reach its peak.

SolitudeCorners Strain: Blue Banana Cream
Week: 9 of Flower
Observations:
Blue Banana Cream is progressing slowly compared to the other two strains in the tray. Buds are becoming denser, and the pistils are starting to turn orange. Definitely a late bloomer, but she's catching up. Aroma is intensifying, with a strong sweet and creamy funk in the air. Some foxtailing is visible, likely caused by excess heat from the grow lights.
Leaf Burn Issues:
Noticed signs of leaf burn, primarily due to inconsistent watering. Some plants weren't getting enough water at certain times, likely because of uneven water uptake or malfunctions in the drip system. These short periods of dehydration led to stress and visible burn on some leaves.
Environmental & Nutrient Adjustments:
CO2 reduced to 800 ppm to support late-stage ripening.
Light intensity remains high to push nutrient uptake.
Nutrient EC reduced to 1.5 – 2.0 EC to avoid salt buildup and encourage a cleaner finish.
Overall:
Despite the slower development and minor stress signs, she’s moving in the right direction. With improved watering consistency and careful monitoring of heat, Blue Banana Cream still has the potential to finish strong with flavorful, frosty buds.
