Kagesan A new project begins! This time, I'm focusing on the Stardawg strain from FastBuds. After successfully growing two FastBuds strains last year – Gelato and Blue Dream – and being absolutely thrilled with their flavor and appearance, I’m excited to see how Stardawg will develop. 😄🔥
The seed was planted directly into the soil – specifically, into a 1.2-liter pot filled with Biobizz Light Mix. As usual, it will stay there for 10 to 14 days before being transplanted into its final 11-liter fabric pot. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this strain evolves over the coming weeks and whether it will live up to the high expectations I now have for FastBuds. Let the adventure begin! 🌱🥦💚

Kagesan Week 1 – Vegetative Stage
The germination phase is behind us, and today, on day 8, the vegetative stage officially begins.
Everything is going according to plan: she sprouted after four days and now stands at 5 cm tall.
She looks healthy, and the first leaves are unfolding beautifully.
If she continues to develop this well, I should be able to transplant her into the 11-liter fabric pot by the end of the week.
So far, she’s showing a lot of promise – I’m excited to see how she progresses!
Update: Day 14
Today was the day: she has moved into her 11-liter fabric pot!
To give her the best start, I enriched the Biobizz Light Mix with
10 g of seaweed and 20 g of bat guano per pot, just like I always do.
She also received a dose of Great White to promote strong root development.
For optimal nutrition, I placed two Bio Tabs in each pot.
To avoid waterlogging, I added a 4 cm layer of clay granulate at the bottom for drainage.
For the first watering, she got 2.5 liters of distilled water.

Kagesan Week 2 – Vegetative Stage
The second week of the vegetative stage begins!
After transplanting and settling into her new home, little Stardawg now stands proudly at 4 cm on day 15.
The move into the 11-liter fabric pot went smoothly, and she seems to be adjusting well.
Now it’s time to wait and observe how she responds to the new substrate and the added nutrients.
I’m curious to see how quickly she’ll gain size in the coming days!

Kagesan Week 3 – Vegetative Stage
The third week of the vegetative stage has begun, and Stardawg now stands at a proud 9.5 cm. She’s developing into a compact, sturdy little bush. Since she’s doing so well, I’ll be topping her in the next few days to better control her growth and encourage the side branches. Let’s see how she responds – but so far, everything is going perfectly!💚💚💚
Update: Day 25 😁
This lady keeps growing strong and has reached the 14 cm mark today. Time for the first bit of training! I removed the lowest pair of nodes and topped her to guide the growth in the right direction. The plan is to focus on eight main branches so she develops a nice, even structure. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how she reacts, but so far she’s making a strong impression!👍💚

Kagesan Day 29 – Flowering Week 1
Today officially marks the beginning of the first week of flowering, and Stardawg is continuing to thrive. She has now reached a height of 20 cm, handled the topping well, and is showing healthy growth. To further optimize her structure, I applied some light LST to better position the branches. She also received her first light feeding to support the start of the flowering phase. Now I’m curious to see how she’ll respond to the changes over the next few days!

Kagesan Day 36 – Flowering Week 2
The second week of flowering begins, and my Stardawg is doing an excellent job! Over the past week, I gradually increased the nutrient dosage to 50% of my schedule, and today, on day 36, she’s receiving the full feeding amount for the first time. I also continued with LST to further shape her structure. In addition, I removed some lower, unnecessary branches to direct energy toward the main colas. A major defoliation hasn’t been necessary so far, as she’s developing very evenly.
As you can see, she has formed a beautiful, uniform canopy – exactly what I was hoping for. Now it’s just a matter of seeing how much she’ll stretch in the coming days.

Kagesan Day 43 – Flowering Week 3
The third week of flowering is underway, and my Stardawg has now reached 52 cm in height. Since I now have significantly more space in the tent, I fully opened her up two days ago to ensure that enough light reaches all areas and that every branch is well supported. Today, I also did a light defoliation to improve airflow and focus energy on the key bud sites. She’s still developing beautifully – let’s see if she stretches any further over the next few days.

Kagesan Tag 50 – Flowering Week 4
Stardawg is developing beautifully! She has reached her final height, and the still-small buds are slowly starting to gain volume. Now the real action begins!
At the moment, she’s drinking almost 2.5 to 3 liters a day, which shows how much energy she’s putting into bud production.
She’s also started to give off an intense aroma – a sharp, strong scent is now in the air.
Everything is going according to plan, and I’m excited to see how she continues to develop over the next few weeks!💚💚💚

Stardawg looks absolutely stunning! The buds continue to increase in size, and the smell is getting stronger – the tent is now filled with her distinctive aroma. Everything is going according to plan, and she is now putting all her energy into the flowers. I’m excited to see how much denser she gets and how much resin she produces in the coming weeks!

Kagesan Day 64 – Flowering Week 6
Not much new to report. The buds are slowly maturing, but it will probably still take some time before she’s truly ready.
Now it’s all about patience, watching closely, and giving her the time she needs. The calm before the storm!😉

English Version:
Day 71 – Flowering Week 7
Starting the seventh week of flowering a bit late – on Tuesday there was only a quick photo,
but today I finally had time to update the journal.
Not much to report at the moment. Stardawg is standing strong, the buds continue to mature, and I estimate she’ll be ready to harvest around day 80.
Now it’s time to stay focused, keep observing, and kick off the final stretch!💚💚

Kagesan Day 78 – Flowering Week 8
The end is in sight. In 2 to 3 days, Stardawg will be harvested!
The buds are nicely matured, and the aroma is simply fantastic – intense and promising.
A truly magnificent plant that has made this grow a complete success so far.
Now comes the final touch before harvest!
Kagesan Day 82 – Harvest Time 💚💚💚
The time had finally come:
Stardawg was harvested! While trimming, a fantastic, intense sweet-and-pungent aroma filled the air.
Being alone in the tent for the past few weeks really did her good: lots of space, lots of light – and you can clearly see that in the results.
In the end, I got 1020 grams of wet weight, a really strong yield! Of course, there are still some bigger branches, but the buds are incredibly dense and heavy.
Overall, it was a very relaxed grow without any major issues – this is how growing should be. Now it’s time for drying and curing.
Once everything is ready, the smoke report will follow – I’m already excited!
Until next time – take care and happy growing! 👋👋
Update Dry Weight:
A total of 193 grams – very compact, resinous buds with a strong structure.
Hardly any leaves, top-notch appearance, and the typical Stardawg scent is fully present. Solid yield!
Smoke Report:
The smell is sharp and chemical with an earthy undertone, like breathing forest air through a canister of gasoline.
The taste is clear: pine meets cleaning agent, bitter-spicy with a metallic aftertaste.
The effect hits the head immediately – focused, fast, slightly heavy but pleasantly awake.
Not weed for sweet tooths, but for fans of resinous chemical punch.🤤🤤🤤
Great grow
I’ve been growing this strain and although my yield is ok my plants are more than twice the size as yours and much smaller buds.
How did you keep yours smaller and more dense?
I’ve been looking at what I do different as using same size pots
Light distance ?
Feeding, I feed pretty much from week 2.
I don’t top?
Would you say one or all of the above or any other suggestions ?
