Day 50:
Lovely canopy, shoots start to thicken up all over the plant.
Day 55:
First flowering pistils obviously showing! Feeding on 1/2 strength every other watering. Somehow my Hanna pH is behaving a bit strange and feel like I cant fully trust my pH meter.
Glad to have you back! I'm actually doing my first grow in almost a decade and am really excited to see all these new genetics floating around. Will be following along to see a fellow grower who just got back into it after years of.
@BlackVeined, Well done on diagnosing and remedying the problem so fast! I had a similar issue with my Gorilla grow, except it took me weeks to identify the issue. I ended up upgrading my ventilation, changing my fans, pretty much everything until I finally did a run-off check and did a flush. By then the plants had suffered so much it stunted them and sent them into early flowering. I estimate my harvest will likely be 50-75% less than it could have been, but I learnt a huge amount from the process. I check run-off with every watering now, in fact I document everything, PH, PPM, Solution Temp, Amount fed per plant, amount of run-off.. for every single feed. It's really improved my technique that's for sure. My new Zkittles grow is at day 20 and is going incredibly well so far, I'm very excited to see how this new grow goes! Feel free to check it out. Oh also, if you get time, some details on your LST technique would be awesome. You didn't get many photos that showed your process, there is one of under the plant, but it was after all the LST was complete. I'm going to start LST (for the first time) on my Zkittles soon, and I'm going to aim to emulate your style, you seem to have it perfected!
@ProfessorSkiSlopes, Thanks again SkiSlopes! Appreciate the comments. I did update the diary with some comments and also diagnosed phosphorus lockout. Will upload some new pictures this Sunday, I still don’t see actual improvements yet. Buds are still forming though! My diary is far from perfect and love the fact that I have learn from my mistake at least :).
My Gorilla might be on the border of overtrained though, I would have liked a canopy with a bit more light penetration. Maybe COB leds would give better light penetration, very curious about this and might buy a second lamp.
Next grow will probably be a photoperiod diary where I am going to grow 2 plants and top them twice to get 4 cola’s a plant. I’ll check your diary too!
@BlackVeined, Your Gorilla is truly amazing.. you have grown and trained her immaculately. I'm utterly impressed, and it gives me a high goal to try and emulate on my next Gorilla grow. My current one was my first grow and its so far from yours LOL but I'm learning.. And I will definitely be following this grow as an example of the optimal achievement! Thank you!
Looking good ... Just got done harvesting a Northern Lights Auto & a AK-49 Auto myself. I wish you the same success.Good luck with the rest of your grow👍👍👍
@BlackVeined, I did have two lowryders on the way but they dampened off and didn't make it. But I plan on doing a large grow with 6-7 autos in my 2x4x5 grow tent.
@HighTV, Thanks HighTV, appreciate it! Will do so! Due to a busy schedule I am only doing a picture update once a week. Next week I will properly update! Expect harvest might happen within 10 days. There’s still a lot of clear trichomes but also spotted a few ambers. Will check extensively tomorrow.
Hey mate, the pics "Gorillia Glue Day 70 still a bit short on phosphor" and "Gorillia Glue Day 70 still a bit short on phosphor", what are you looking at in order to know its short on phosphor?
@ivik80, Heey ivik, looking at stem/leaf coloration, burnt tips, leaf stance & curling, salt build up and ph of soil (testing runoff). If only the purple coloration this could have been genetics. After the flushing and feeding notes on a lower pH I seem to notice improvements in centain areas, some areas seem to worsen. Will probably post week 11 pics tonight
@Denzul, Thanks Denzel appreciate it! Happy growing! Have been away from growing for about 10 years and really looking forward to try out some of the new genetics available.
Nice looking plants! But they sure take a long time to be ready.. fastbuds say from seed to harvest in 8 weeks. Just ordered 3 of them but I don’t think they will be ready in time.
Good luck with your grow! 👍
@Bruno971, pre-flowers started showing around day 26 and are abundant atm. Seems she might to start flowering very soon, hope I dont have a seed that doesnt auto. Switched on flowering lights and flowering nutrients at the start of week 7.
G'luck brother, your diary is 🔥🔥🔥flaming hot!! Nice canopy, some love went into training her. So I have gorilla glue #4 auto from original sensible seeds, never had this strain before, how is it? My tolerance is through the roof so I like my herbs on the stronger side. Let me know brother and best of luck on your diary. 🇨🇦🌴👌👍👊
