Ensign420 Introduction - Week 00 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17451.1,
Caw-Caw! Ensign420 back with another grow attempt!
Just ended the previous grow cycle (log 12), but already growing onto the next! This grow season (log 13) will hopefully be an epic run!
For this grow log, going back to my roots and starting from seed! Ultimately, if all goes well, this will be a seed-to-harvest for two cultivars.
As for genetics, germinating a feminized seed of ‘Heady OG BX1’ (Mendo Dope Farms) along with a regular seed of ‘TKO’ (James Loud Genetics) and hyped to give these a try! This will also be my first time growing a regular seed with plans to DNA sex test in early veg. Hoping for a female, but have plans if it’s a male. What can possibly go wrong?
Well to my surprise, Heady OG BX1 sprouted first and was planted into a solo cup after a day of germination! TKO germinated a few days later and by the end of the week both seeds were planted in solo cups.
Very impressed with Heady OG BX1’s vigor! By the time TKO was planted in her solo cup, Heady OG BX1 was sprouting from the cup. Please be a female!
Also been tending to the veg tent which has been exploding with growth! Having a bit of a gnat issue, but working on reducing the population.
Anyways, first week done and already have both seeds germinated and planted into solo cups with one already sprouted!
Everything has a beginning. Straight and steady as she grows Ensign,
Onwards to next week! Engage!

- [10:20]: Caw-Caw! Time to finally start the new grow cycle!
--- Plan to flower and harvest two cultivars from seed!
--- This will be grow log 13 and seed attempt #70 and #71.
--- As for genetics, popping a bean of ‘Heady OG BX1 (Mendo Dope Farms)’ and ‘TKO (James Loud Genetics)’
--- Heady OG BX1 is a cross of a ‘Headies’ female to a ‘Heady OG’ male before being crossed back to the Heady OG male. I think (still learning about genetics and please correct me if I have anything wrong).
--- This cultivar is indica dominant and have 11 seeds in total (germinating one).
--- TKO is a feminized cross between a ‘Triangle Kush’ and ‘OG Kush’ female to a reversed ‘Gelato 41’ male.
--- This feminized cultivar is indica dominant and have 10 seeds in total (germinating one).
--- This will also be my first time trying to grow regular seeds. Hoping for a female, but have plans in-case of a male.
--- If I get a male Heady OG BX1, will cull and cut a clone of TKO (extended veg).
--- As with my recent grow logs, growing organically based on the BuildASoil way.
--- Going to be an interesting grow cycle as I’m just popping one seed of each pheno.
--- Anyways,
--- For germination, going with the tried and true 'Cotton Pad' method (shout out to Home Grow TV).
--- Okay let’s go!
--- In another room (my bathroom),
- [10:31]: Placed 6 fresh cotton pads on top of some clean plastic wrap.
--- Using a spray bottle, Misted the top of each pad with 2 sprays of straight distilled water.
--- Selected one random seed of ‘TKO’ (James Loud Genetics),
--- Along with one random seed of ‘Heady OG BX1’ (Mendo Dope Farms).
- [10:35]: Placed each seed onto a freshly wet pad.
--- Gently wiped each seed with their pad.
- [10:37]: Carefully placed each seed onto another fresh cotton pad. Discarded the used pads.
--- Then covered the top of each seed with the remaining wet cotton pads.
--- Misted the top of each stack of pads with 4 more sprays of distilled water.
- [10:40]: Placed each cotton pad stack into a fresh Ziploc bag (1quart bag).
--- Misted the inside of each bag with 2 sprays of distilled water.
--- Folded each bag in half.
--- Did not fully seal the bags (left a corner open).
--- Made sure to also label each bag.
- [10:47]: Placed each bag onto the heating mat.
--- Covered the bags with a black opaque plastic container.
--- Then covered the container with a towel and a foam cover.
--- Covered the foam with another towel.
- [10:53]: The heating mat's thermostat is set to a warm 85°F
--- The mat was already preheated to 83.4°F
--- Going to check on the cotton pads daily and plan to plant as soon as roots shoot out.
--- Will be sprouting in solo cups filled with BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil before transplanting into their final fabric pots.
--- Once sprouted and vegged out in the solo cups for a bit, plan to take clones (tops) of each cultivar and plant TKO (feminized) into the 30-gallon and Heady OG BX1 (regular) into the 20-gallon.
--- As far as fertilizer feedings, continuing with ‘less-is-more’ and will begin veg feeding later rather than sooner.
- [23:42]: Checked the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Looking great in the veg garden!
--- All mothers are growing along and looking green!
--- Need to top soon but not going to do anything tonight.
- [23:43]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:

-----------------------------------
- [17:38]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Ooo yea! The veg garden has been better than ever!
--- Absolutely incredible when the plants can drink whenever the need it. Clearly I’ve been under-watering.
--- Need to top!
- [17:40]: Using a pair of trimmers,
--- Cut and removed a good 5-6 inches of top growth.
- [18:25]: Wow! Looks much better!
--- Mulched the trimmings.
--- Gnats are getting really gnarly, need to start spraying.
--- Going for a pretty high dosage.
- [18:36]: Filled a pitcher with 12 cups of RO water.
------ Added 1/16tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
------ Added 2tsp + 1/4tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI
--- Mixed the solution and poured 3 cups straight into a pump sprayer.
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the original Garlic Budder #1 straw mulch.
- [18:40]: Repeated this process again for the rest of the phenos in the tent.
--- Focused mainly on the straw.
- [18:57]: Also adding in some yellow sticky traps.
--- Took 4 sticky traps and removed the protective sheets.
--- Place one in each of the pots.
--- Will probably swap these out on a weekly basis and will adjust my
- [19:22]: Checked on the TKO seed.
--- It’s been over 24hrs since the seeds were placed on the cotton pads.
--- Caw-Caw! Nice!
--- Heady OG BX1 has fully germinated and her tap root looks really healthy!
--- Unfortunately, TKO has no signs of germination but that’s okay.
--- Anyways, time to plant!
--- As usual, first, the wetting solution!
- [19:41]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of RO water.
--- Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
--- Added 1/64tsp of Horticultural Aloe
--- Added 1/32tsp of Mycrobe Complete
--- Mixed the solution and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle.
--- Going to be planting into a solo cup before transplanting into fabric pots.
--- Since I’m still waiting on more soil, going to use some of the dry top soil from the 30-gallon pot (which is unused BuildASoil 3.0 potting soil anyways).
- [19:51]: Filled a plastic container with a full solo cup of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil from the 30-gallon pot.
--- Made certain there were no worms.
--- Added 1/2 cup of the wetting solution.
--- Mixed the soil and gave it a good squeeze.
--- Needed to add more dry soil until the mix clumped up nicely with no water leakage on the squeeze (soil was more moist than anticipated).
- [20:06]: Filled a solo cup with the pre-wet soil (has hole cut for drainage).
--- Packed the bottom firmly, then gently packed and tamped down until full.
--- Made a shallow indentation into the center of the cup.
--- Also made sure to mark the cup with name and date.
- [20:09]: Inoculated the solo cup with Beauveria Bassiana.
------ Sprinkled 1/32tsp of Beauveria Bassiana Plus Powder into the center of the indentation.
- [20:13]: Great! Time to plant the sprouted seed!
--- Using a clean dab tool, scooped the Heady OG BX1 seed off her pad and laid her gently into the solo cup.
--- Placed her on top of the inoculated area with the tap root sideways.
- [20:18]: Sprinkled and covered the seed with a pinch of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. Just enough to fully cover the root and seed.
--- Time for some mulch!
- [20:24]: Covered the top soil with BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch.
--- Misted the top of the straw with the wetting solution (~30 sprays).
- [20:32]: Covered the solo cup with a clear solo cup.
--- Misted the inside of the cup with a bit of distilled water (2 sprays) and secured it with painter’s tape.
- [20:35]: This time, placed the solo cup into the propagation dome (AC Infinity Germination Kit).
--- Without the seedling tray insert, the double-stacked solo cup fits perfectly under the dome (with height extension). Nice!
--- At the current light intensity (2 out of 10), the PPFD should be around 136 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 8.81 mol/m²/d under an 18/6 light cycle.
--- Misted the top of the propagation dome with a few sprays of distilled water.
--- All vents are closed.
--- Heady OG BX1 has been planted! Grow strong little one!
--- Well did not expect to plant just one seed, but nature is not always consistent.
--- Going to give TKO two more days to germinate before trying another seed.
--- My original plan was to plant TKO into the 30-gallon pot and Heady OG BX1 into the 20-gallon, but now may switch it up.
- [20:38]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:

- [20:40]: Checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [21:23]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.
Day 03 - Wednesday - 04/16/25 - Total Days: 003
-----------------------------------
Daily Averages ~[+01:00]
- Temps: 71.2 °F [21.8°C]

- VPD: 0.88 kPa
- Soil %: [46, 38, 47, 46, 46, 45, 46, 43]
-----------------------------------
- [12:01]: Checked on the TKO seed.
--- It’s been over 2 days since the seeds were placed on the cotton pads.
--- Temps were around 79.8°F
--- Still no signs of germination. Oh well. No worries. Some seeds take 3-4 days to germinate.
--- Will check again tomorrow.
- [+00:02]: Night check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Veg tent is looking great and all mothers are looking healthy!
--- Woah yea gnats are clearly out of control. Each yellow stick trap has a bunch of gnats stuck to them.
- [+00:04]: Checked the propagation dome,
--- No signs of Heady OG BX1 quite yet. But humidity and temps look great!
--- Will continue to check daily.
--- Alright time for some gnat control.
- [+00:20]: Filled a measuring with 2 cups of RO water.
------ Added 1 ounce of Dr. Zymes' Eliminator
--- Mixed the solution and poured it straight into a pump sprayer.
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto foliar of all phenos in the tent. Also misted the top of each pot a bit.
Day 04 - Thursday - 04/17/25 - Total Days: 004
-----------------------------------
Daily Averages ~[+01:00]
- Temps: 74.5 °F [23.6°C]
- Humidity: 68.3%
- VPD: 0.93 kPa
- Soil %: [45, 36, 47, 47, 43, 41, 43, 43]
-----------------------------------
- [13:26]: Nice! Soil has arrived!
--- Time to finish filling the 30-gallon pot!
- [13:56]: Alright! 30-gallon pot full!
--- Sort of overshot the amount of soil I needed. Oops.
--- Only needed about 1/2 a bag of soil (saving the extra soil for seedlings and clones).
--- Temporarily removed the drip ring and Ecowitt top soil sensor.
--- Also re-positioned the Ecowitt deep soil sensor and moved it closer to the center of the pot.
--- Placed the extra bag of soil in the back right of the tent (under a piece of cardboard). Unless I get another tent flooding, the bag of soil should be fine. Won’t need this until the next grow cycle.
--- Anyways!
- [13:57]: Using some BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch,
--- Covered the top of the 30-gallon Grassroots fabric pot.
--- Made sure to cover all visible soil.
- [14:34]: Done!
--- Also placed the Ecowitt top soil sensor and drip ring back onto the soil (have the top sensor placed just under the drip ring).
--- Okay! The tent is almost all set (still need to re-string the scrog frame).
--- Going to start dialing in the environment for veg.
- [14:39]: Within the AC Infinity App,
--- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller,
--- Changed the schedule from 'Drying [0/24]' to 'Vegetative [18/6]'
--- Also made sure to set each device accordingly,
--- For the Grow Light (Mars Hydro FC-6500):
------ The Mode is set to ‘On Mode’
------ The START/END times are set to 04:00PM/10:00AM
------ The Sunrise and Sunset Duration value is set to 20Min
------ The MAX value is set to 1
--- For the Exhaust Fan (AC Infinity T6):
------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Auto’
------ The Temperature HIGH trigger’s value is set to 85°F
------ The Humidity HIGH trigger’s value is set to 87%
------ The MIN/MAX Level values are set to 1/8
------ The Temperature/Humidity Dynamic Transition values are set to 2°F/2%
--- For the Humidifier (AC Infinity T7):
------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Target’
------ The VPD trigger value is set to 1.0kPa
------ The MIN/MAX value is set to 0/8
------ The VPD Dynamic Transition value is set to 0.2kPa
--- For the Heater (AC Infinity ThermoForge T3):
------ The Mode is set to ‘Continuous Target’
------ The Temperature target value is set to 78°F
------ The MIN/MAX value is set to 0/8
------ The Temperature Dynamic Transition value is set to 2°F
--- Of course will adjust these settings as needed.
- [17:03]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Ooo yea vegging mothers are looking great!
--- Auto watering is the way to grow!
--- Aside from the damn gnats, all pots look good and no signs of flooding.
- [17:04]: Checked on the propagation dome,
--- Ooo yea! Heady OG BX1 continues to impress with hyper vigorous growth!
--- Been about 3 days from placing the seed on the cotton pad and she is already sprouting from the soil and about to open her cotyledons leaves. Incredible!
--- Really hope this one is a female (please).
--- Misted the top growth with about 3 sprays of distilled water.
--- Also removed the top clear solo cup, but still have all propagation dome vents fully closed.
--- Unlike clones, seedlings don’t really need extreme humidity to root.
--- Probably could open a few vents, but will wait until tomorrow.
--- Okay back to the gnat battle!
- [17:14]: Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of RO water.
------ Added 1 ounce of Dr. Zymes' Eliminator
--- Mixed the solution and poured it straight into a pump sprayer.
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the top of each pot.
--- Did not foliar spray.
- [17:22]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:
------------------ [ 4x4 MAIN TENT ] ---------------
------ 47% - [CH01 G30 - Pheno #1 Top]
------ 32% - [CH02 G30 - Pheno #1 Bottom]

--------- Veg: 38% - 45% | Flower: 45% - 55%
--------- General: 30% [Dry] | 45 - 60% [Moist] | 70% [Wet]
--- All WittFlow units are also connected and charged.
- [17:34]: Checked on the TKO seed.
--- It’s been well over 3 days since the seed was placed on the cotton pad.
--- Aye nice!
- [17:36]: TKO finally germinated and her tap root looks short, but healthy! Was sort of getting a bit worried.
--- Okay! Time to plant!
--- First, the wetting solution!
- [17:57]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of RO water.
--- Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
--- Added 1/64tsp of Horticultural Aloe
--- Added 1/32tsp of Mycrobe Complete
--- Mixed the solution and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle.
--- Similar to Heady OG BX1, going to be planting TKO into a solo cup before transplanting into a fabric pot.
--- Since I have extra fresh BuildASoil 3.0 potting soil, going to use it.
--- Okay let’s go!
- [18:03]: Filled a plastic container with a full solo cup of fresh BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil.
--- Added 1/4 cup of the wetting solution.
--- Mixed the soil and gave it a good squeeze.
--- Made sure the soil clumped up with no water leakage on the squeeze.
- [18:12]: Filled a solo cup with the pre-wet soil (re-used cup which already has hole cut for drainage).
--- Packed the bottom firmly, then gently packed and tamped down until full.
--- Made a shallow indentation into the center of the cup.
--- Also made sure to mark the name and date.
- [18:13]: Inoculated the solo cup with Beauveria Bassiana.
------ Sprinkled 1/32tsp of Beauveria Bassiana Plus Powder into the center of the indentation.
- [18:18]: Great! Time to plant the sprouted seed!
--- Using a clean dab tool, gently scooped the TKO seed off the pad and laid her gently into the solo cup.
--- Placed her on top of the inoculated area with the tap root sideways.
--- Sprinkled and covered the seed with a pinch of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. Just enough to fully cover the root and seed.
- [18:22]: Using some BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch,
--- Made sure to completely cover the top soil.
--- Misted the top of the straw mulch with the wetting solution (~30 sprays).
- [18:32]: Covered the solo cup with a clear solo cup.
--- Misted the inside of the cup with a bit of distilled water (2 sprays) and secured it with painter’s tape.
- [18:34]: Placed the solo cup into the ACI propagation dome.
--- All vents are still fully closed.
--- Great!
--- TKO has finally been planted into the solo cup!
--- Since she’s obviously a slower growing pheno, will probably see a sprout within a few days.
--- At least this one feminized and is supposed to be a guaranteed female.
--- Anyways, will continue to check back daily.
- [19:09]: Checked the 4x4 tent.
--- Just a quick peek and everything is looking great!
- [19:11]: Checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [19:33]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.
Day 05 - Friday - 04/18/25 - Total Days: 005
-----------------------------------
Daily Averages ~[+01:00]
- Temps: 77.6 °F [25.3°C]
- Humidity: 68.8%
- VPD: 1.00 kPa
- Soil %: [47, 32, 46, 48, 42, 43, 43, 45]
-----------------------------------
- [21:21]: Night check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- All mothers are vegging along beautifully!
--- Ooo yea!
--- Heady OG BX1 is just raging with vigor!
--- After a day of growth, she’s already fully sprouted and has grown a good 2-3 inches in height! Please be a girl!
--- No sign of TKO quite yet.
--- Propagation dome vents are now fully open!
- [21:26]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:

--------- Veg: 38% - 45% | Flower: 45% - 55%
--------- General: 30% [Dry] | 45 - 60% [Moist] | 70% [Wet]
--- Alright, going a bit heavier on the gnat spraying.
- [21:34]: Filled a measuring with 4 cups of RO water.
------ Added 2 ounce of Dr. Zymes' Eliminator
--- Mixed the solution and poured it straight into a pump sprayer.
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the top of each pot.
--- Did not foliar spray.
--- Going to wait a few days before spraying again. Been spraying for a few days straight and don’t want to kill the worms.
--- Ultimately, might be easier to cut clones and cycle out the mother plants and do a heavy spraying while clones are still vegging in solo cups.
- [21:46]: Checked the 4x4 tent.
--- Everything looks good and environment seems pretty stable. Nice!
- [21:48]: Checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [21:55]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.

- [19:40]: Night check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Looking great! All mothers are vegging beautifully!
--- Canopy is already getting taller and will need to top soon.
--- Checked on the propagation dome,
--- Nice! Heady OG has stopped stretching and her true leaves are starting to get larger. Looking green and healthy! Going to wait until her leaves reach the sides of the pot before attempting to sex test. Then depending on the result, will either transplant or cull. Please be a female!
--- Still no signs of TKO but this is okay. Based on initial tap root growth, she’ll probable be a few more days.

Ensign420 Introduction - Week 01 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17457.1,
Well, had an unexpected week of growing.
TKO did not sprout from her solo cup so started another round of germination.
As for Heady OG BX1, she was growing along great! I thought… To be honest, still perplexed on what exactly happened, but had to restart another seed as well.
On the flipside, the veg tent has been doing great! The gnat population and has been reduced significantly. Although this could have also been the reason for the seedling and germination issues.
Failure is always a possibility and a bit de-motivating. But gotta keep growing on,
Onwards to next week!

- [09:37]: Well TKO Round 1 was sort of a failure..
--- Time for Round 2!
--- Germinating another seed and this will overall be my #72 seed attempt.
--- As usual, for germination, going with the 'Cotton Pad' method.
--- Okay let’s go!
--- In another room (my bathroom),
- [09:43]: Placed 3 fresh cotton pads on top of some clean plastic wrap.
--- Using a spray bottle, misted the top of each pad with 3 sprays of straight distilled water.
--- Selected one random ‘TKO’ (James Loud Genetics | photo-fem) seed.
- [09:46]: Placed the seed onto a freshly wet pad.
--- Gently wiped and cleaned loose debris from the seed with the pad.
- [09:48]: Carefully placed the seed onto another fresh cotton pad. Discarded the used pad.
--- Then covered the top of the seed with the remaining wet cotton pad.
--- Misted the top of the stack of pads with 3 more sprays of distilled water.
- [09:49]: Placed the cotton pad stack into a fresh Ziploc bag (1quart bag).
--- Misted the inside of the bag with 2 sprays of distilled water.
--- Made sure the bag was also labeled.
--- Did not fully seal the bag (left a corner open).
--- Folded the bag in thirds.
- [09:52]: Placed the bag onto the heating mat.
--- Covered the bag with a black opaque plastic container.
--- Then covered the container with a towel and a foam cover.
--- Covered the foam with another towel.
- [09:55]: The heating mat's thermostat is set to a warm 85°F
--- The mat was already preheated to 86.1°F
--- Again, going to check on the cotton pad daily and plan to plant as soon as roots shoot out.
--- Not giving up on you girl!
--- TKO Round 2 let’s go!
- [16:04]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Looking beautiful my girls!
--- All mothers are vegging along and looking incredible!
--- Gnats are still present and getting a bit wild.
- [16:07]: Checked on the propagation dome.
--- Woah! What in Sto’Vo’Kor happened!?
--- Heady OG BX1 has fallen over!
--- Damnit Ensign!
- [16:14]: Using some gardening wire,
--- Made a support rig.
--- Well, this should hopefully keep her straight up and growing strong.
--- May need to start adding support rigs early to prevent top heavy seedlings from falling over.
--- Okay time to IPM spray!
--- Going to spray more Eliminator to reduce the gnat population.
--- Increasing the dosage but keeping the heavy concentration.
- [16:25]: Filled a pitcher with 12 cups of RO water.
------ Added 6 ounces of Dr. Zymes' Eliminator
--- Mixed the solution and poured it straight into a pump sprayer.
--- Gave the sprayer a good shake before spraying the entire solution onto the top of each pot (~3 cups each).
--- Did not foliar spray.
- [16:54]: Also decided to switch out the yellow stick traps.
--- Marked each trap with the date before placing one into each pot.
- [17:02]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:
------------------ [ 4x4 MAIN TENT ] ---------------

- [17:11]: Quickly checked the 4x4 tent.
--- Everything looking great! No flooding issues and environment looks perfect!
- [17:16]: Checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
--- Decided to weight Heady OG BX1
--- Temporarily removed the support rig.
- [22:34]: Took the total weight of Heady OG BX1
--- She weighed 251.5g
--- It’s been 9 days since her last watering.
--- While on a scale,
--- Gently misted her straw mulch with RO water.
--- Tried to keep the top growth dry.
--- Misted 5-10 sprays. Waited a few seconds, then misted again.
- [22:43]: Repeated this process until the cup weighed 305.1g
--- There was no runoff.
--- Marked the watering date on the side of the cup.
- [22:46]: Added the support rig back on and placed her back into the propagation dome.
--- Well 9 days is a bit long between seedling watering, but I usually wait until the cup weighs less.
--- Maybe should have watered earlier?
--- Or maybe she dampened off? I dunno..
--- Hopefully she bounces back.
--- Please don’t die on me girl!

--- All mothers are green and perky!
--- Pots look good too and no signs of flooding.
--- Also there seems to be less fungus gnats.
--- All yellow stick traps still have a few gnats, but the population has clearly been reduced. Nice!
--- To prevent soil toxicity, will wait a few days before re-spraying more Eliminator.
--- Trying to remove the gnat issue without killing the worms.
- [22:02]: Checked the propagation dome.
--- What the frack?
--- Heady OG looks wilted and her leaves are droopy.
--- She was looking healthy at the beginning of the week.
--- Did she dampen off?
--- Or maybe it was due to the gnats and IPM spraying in the veg tent?
--- I dunno.. Just gotta keep growing on.
--- RIP girl..
- [22:19]: Cleaned out the propagation dome.
--- May try something different for the next solo cup round.
--- I dunno..
- [22:21]: Checked on the TKO seed.
--- Still no signs of germination.

--- A bit demotivated right now, but growing isn’t always perfect..
--- Anyways, time to get hyped again!
- [22:34]: Caw-Caw! Time for Round 2!

--- Covered the foam with another towel.
--- The heating mat's thermostat is set to a warm 85°F
--- Again, going to check on the cotton pad daily and plan to plant as soon as roots shoot out.

Ensign420 Introduction - Week 02 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17463.2,
Well this wouldn’t be a newbie grow without issues.
Been continuing to struggle with the germination phase.. Still have no idea what happened to the first Heady OG BX1 seed. Pretty de-motivating, but life is not perfect and success is never guaranteed.
Started another round of seeds last week which germinated and planted into solo cups. TKO sprouted from the soil, but still no signs of Heady OG BX1. May have to start another round of seeds again.
With the recent seed failures, the veg garden has been keeping me positive. Veg growth has been overall great! Topped all mothers pretty hard. Took a few days to recover, but now the canopy is lower and even! Gnats also seem to finally be under control, but will continue spray every few days.
Anyways.. Just gotta keep growing on.
Onwards to next week!

-----------------------------------
- [11:03]: Okay! Time to check on the seeds again!
--- It's been a week since TKO was placed on the cotton pad and about 6 days for Heady OG BX1.
--- Carefully removed a cotton pad stack from the bag.
--- Then flipped over the top pad.
--- Aye nice! Both have roots!
--- Heady OG BX1’s tap root has grown a bit more and looks white and healthy!
--- TKO’s tap root is shorter, but looks good too!
--- Would like longer tap roots and growth seems slow (for 7 days of germination), but going to transplant into solo cups anyways.
--- Time to plant Round 2, let’s go!
- [12:06]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of RO water.
--- Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
--- Added 1/64tsp of Horticultural Aloe
--- Added 1/32tsp of Mycrobe Complete
--- Mixed the solution and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle.
--- Planting into solo cups before transplanting into fabric pots.
--- Since the soil is pretty dry, will be pre-wetting before planting.
- [12:15]: Filled a plastic container with 2 full solo cups of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil.
--- Added 1/2 cup of the wetting solution.
--- Mixed the soil and gave it a good squeeze.
--- The soil clumped up nicely with no water leakage.
- [12:31]: Filled two solo cups with the pre-wet soil.
--- Started with a handful of soil and packed the bottom of each cup. Then loosely filled each cup with more soil.
--- Made a shallow indentation into the center of each cup.
--- Also made sure to mark each cup with cultivar name and date.
- [12:34]: Inoculated each solo cup with Beauveria Bassiana.
------ Sprinkled 1/32tsp of Beauveria Bassiana Plus Powder into the center of the indentation.
- [12:38]: Time to plant the sprouted seeds!
--- Using a clean dab tool, scooped Heady OG BX1 off the pad and laid her gently into one of the solo cups.
--- Placed her on top of the inoculated area with the tap root sideways.
--- Repeated this process for the TKO seed.
--- Sprinkled and covered both seeds with a pinch of fresh BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. Just enough to fully cover the tap root and seed.
--- Misted the top of each cup with 15 sprays of the wetting solution.
- [12:43]: Covered the top soil with BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch.
--- Misted the top of each solo cup with more of the solution (10 sprays each).
--- This time, going to take the initial wet weights.
- [12:59]: Took Heady OG BX1’s starting wet weight.
--- She weighed 282.0g
--- Took TKO’s starting wet weight.
--- She weighed 286.8g
--- Marked the back of each cup with the initial wet weight.
--- Now I have a starting point to help dial in soil drybacks for watering.
- [13:06]: Covered each solo cup with a clear solo cup.
--- Misted the inside of each cup with a bit of distilled water (2 sprays).
--- Since the IPM spraying could have caused issues with the previous seedling, not going to sprout in the veg tent this time.
- [13:14]: Placed both solo cups into the 4x4 tent.
--- Raised the cups up a bit and have them resting just above the 30-gallon Grassroots fabric pot.
- [13:16]: Took general PPFD readings.
------ All phenos were around 134 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 8.68 mol/m²/d under a 18/6 light cycle.
--- Also adjusted the light schedule,
- [13:22]: Within the AC Infinity App,
--- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller,
--- Adjusted the 'Vegetative [18/6]' Schedule for the grow light.
------ Changed the START/END time values from 04:00PM/10:00AM to Continuous
------ The MAX intensity is still at 1 out of 10 (147.5W)
--- Will run the grow light on 24/7 until a sprouts.
--- If nothing sprouts, will try to germinate another round.
- [16:07]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Veg garden is looking green and all mothers are still recovering from the topping.
--- Pots look good and no signs of flooding.
--- Swapped out the yellow sticky traps.

Ensign420 Introduction - Week 03 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17469.2,
Growth is getting better in the garden!
Started the week with one seedling and ended with two! Began a third round of seed germination. Slightly changed the germination method and am also sprouting in the 4x4 tent instead of the 3x3 veg tent. Heady OG BX1 continues to impress as she germinated in a day fully sprouted in her solo cup by the end of the week! Please be a girl! Still no sign of TKO Round 3 but plan to transplant in a few days.
The veg garden is continuing to grow healthy and green! Still battling gnats. Decided to start another full veg cycle out. Took clones and plan to dry the soil out for a bit.
An unexpected month of germination, but the garden is starting to get better and have two seedlings and one more potentially on the way. Now just have to keep them alive!
Randomly, also having some interesting mushroom growth in the 4x4 which is pretty cool.
Anyways, Onwards to next week!

--- Checked the solo cups,
--- TKO was growing along, but still looking a bit off.
--- Still no sign of Heady OG BX1 Round 2..
--- Based off of current growth, will probably start a third round of seed germination for both cultivars tomorrow. Not sure if TKO Round 2 is going to make it and I doubt Heady OG BX1 will sprout.
--- The mushrooms are starting to die off in the 20-gallon pot. The grow cycle will hopefully begin again from fresh spores. If it does, will try to transplant a few mushrooms into the 30-gallon.
- [+00:31]: Checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [+00:36]: Checked the humidifiers.

-----------------------------------
- [09:12]: Time for the third round of germination!
--- This will be seed germination attempt #74 and #75.
--- Going to be using the exact same cotton pad germination method, but with a couple adjustments.
--- Dusting each seed with an array of mycorrhizal microbes along with an inoculant of Beauveria Bassiana.
--- Also using RO water instead of distilled water.
--- Okay let’s go!
--- In another room (my bathroom),
- [09:14]: Placed 6 fresh cotton pads on top of some clean plastic wrap.
--- Using a spray bottle, Misted the top of each pad with 2 sprays of straight RO water.
--- One cultivar at a time,
------ Selected a random seed of ‘Heady OG BX1’ (Mendo Dope Farms| photo-reg),
------ Along with a random seed of ‘TKO’ (James Loud Genetics | photo-fem).
- [09:18]: Placed each seed onto a freshly wet pad.
--- Starting with the Heady OG BX1 seed, gently wiped and cleaned her with the pad.
--- Then placed the wiped seed into a container of Great White (1/32tsp) and Beauveria Bassiana Plus (1/64tsp) powder. Discarded the used pad.
--- Rolled the seed in the powder before placing her onto a fresh cotton pad.
- [09:26]: Repeated this process for the TKO seed.
--- Covered the top of each seed with the remaining wet cotton pads.
--- Misted the top of each cotton pad stack with 3 more sprays of RO water.
--- One cultivar at a time,
--- Placed each cotton pad stack into a fresh Ziploc bag (1quart bag).
--- Made sure each bag was properly labeled.
--- Misted the inside of each bag with 2 sprays of RO water.
--- Folded each bag in thirds.
--- Kept a corner open and did not fully seal the bags.
- [09:33]: Placed each bag onto the heating mat.
--- Covered the bags with a black opaque plastic container.
--- Then covered the container with a towel and a foam cover.
--- Covered the foam with another towel.
- [09:36]: The heating mat's thermostat is set to a warm 83°F
--- The mat was already preheated to 83.1°F
--- Regionally, it’s getting warmer, so lowered the thermostat a bit lower from the usual 85°F.
--- Alright! Round 3. Engage!
- [16:17]: Evening check on the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Veg garden is looking incredible!
--- There seems to be a slight issue with the original Garlic Budder #1 pheno (back left). She seems stressed with signs of re-vegging. Growth is slower than the rest right now but still looking green.
--- Overall, veg growth looking beautiful!
--- Pots still have gnats, but no flooding.
--- Top growth was getting close to the light so did a bit of plant training by super-cropping the taller branches.
- [16:23]: Nice! Canopy is a lot more even!
--- Gnats are definitely still increasing in population.
--- Need to start implementing a more aggressive eradication regiment soon.

Ensign420 Introduction - Week 04 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17475.3,
Wow what a grow week!
Finally starting to have some progress with seedling growth looking a lot healthier than last week.
TKO round 3 seed never germinated, but somehow, the round 2 pheno has survived and by the end of the week is looking healthy with growth ramping up. Heady OG BX1 has been stretchy but looking healthy and is quite a bit larger than last week.
Aside from basic checkups, this week has mainly been more tending to the veg tent.
At the beginning of the week, transplanted the mother clone cuttings into Coco Coins for rooting. Will need to check for roots soon.
For mother plant veg training, didn’t top this week and tried super-cropping the taller branches. Seems to be working great, but growth is getting quite bushy. Will probably need to thin out the canopy and top again next week.
Also inoculated both tents with living nematodes and beneficial microbes. This has by far been the most effective treatment for the ongoing gnat issue. By the end of the week, the population was noticeably lower. Great!
Next week is going to be a busy one. Plan to transplant the Coco Coins into solo cups and possible start my first sex test to verify if Heady OG BX1 is a female. Please be a girl!
Anyways,
Onwards to next week Ensign!

- [19:58]: Super-cropped the top growth a bit.
--- Pancaked and evened out the taller veg growth.
--- This method of canopy control is definitely quicker than topping.
--- Growth seems to bounce back quicker as well. The top canopy also seems to be bushier which makes sense.
--- Will probably apply this technique for the cultivars in the main tent during later veg (before applying the scrog frame).
--- Anyways,

- [20:36]: Quickly checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [20:38]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.
- [20:58]: Time for another grow-board wipe!
--- Looking back over the past month of growing,
--- Been a pretty rough start, but after about 5 weeks of trying, I think I finally have viable and healthy seedlings.
--- Been mainly germinating and tending to the gnats in the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Not sure what happened to cause all the failures, but I’m guessing the difficulties were related to the veg tent and on-going gnat issue (which now seems to be finally under control).
--- Once I switched to the 4x4 tent, growth seems to be a lot more stable and healthy.
--- On a side note,
--- Been pheno hunting through my past harvests and have discovered several things.
--- First of all, smoking about 8-9 phenos daily is both extremely fun and satisfying!
--- I am thoroughly enjoying my homegrown medicinal flower and have started to finally save money by not needing to purchase from the dispensary as often (mainly purchase extracts now).
--- But wow! This pheno hunting can take a toll on your lungs for sure. Occupational hazard I suppose (*smokes another bowl).
--- Also discovered a significant difference in smoke quality between batches of harvests. Currently smoke testing the most recent Garlic Budder harvest (original #1) with a previous Garlic Budder harvest of the same cultivar (about 4 months apart).
--- The flavor profile is a lot more prominent in the 4-month cured buds.
--- I understand that while curing, flavors generally improve over time, but wow the difference is pretty significant.
--- Technically I am also comparing a seed harvest against a clone harvest of the same cultivar.
--- But currently postulating the main difference is the cure time.
--- Also sampling another 4-month cured Garlic Budder cultivar (the #1 pheno) that is absolutely dank with earthy terps! Unfortunately this was a pheno I did not keep (damnit Ensign).
--- Now considering to save and pheno smoke hunt for two grow cycles before deciding to cull.
--- I guess you grow and you learn. Just gotta keep growing on.
--- Anyways,
--- Hoping the next 5 weeks will grow smoother.
--- If all goes well, will hopefully be in full veg by then.
--- Also plan to sex test soon and am hoping that Heady OG BX1 is a female. Please be a girl!

- [19:57]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.
--- Another grow week done and the garden is definitely better than last week.
--- Mainly hyped to finally have two growing cultivars which are getting healthier and larger by the day!
--- Need to sex test Heady OG BX1 soon.
--- Also nematodes seem to be working in the veg tent. Stoked that the gnat population is lower and canopy growth is continuing to bush out with growth!
--- Mother clones are also looking great and plan to check for roots soon before transplanting into solo cups.
--- Anyways,
--- Onwards to next week!

--- Mothers are vegging along beautifully!
--- Pots look great and gnat population seems a whole better!
--- Checked on the propagation dome,
--- All mother clones are looking good!
--- Gorilla Goat #1 is still turning yellow, but growth is not looking bad.
--- Defoliated and removed the yellow leaves.
- [+01:53]: Misted the top growth with RO water (10 sprays).
--- Opened the top vents. Now all vents are fully open.
- [+01:57]: Quickly checked on the auto-watering system.

--- Plan to take my first DNA sex test leaf sample. Heady OG BX1 seems more than large enough. Hoping for a female!
Day 04 - Thursday - 05/22/25 - Total Days: 039
-----------------------------------
Daily Averages ~[+01:00]
- Temps: 83.5°F [28.6°C]
- Humidity: 74.9%

-----------------------------------
- [09:13]: Ca-Caw! Time start the DNA sex test!
--- This will be my first time doing any form of DNA sex testing.
--- Farmer Freeman offers DNA sex testing through the mail. Ordered and received a single sample kit.
--- The kit came with a labeled sample envelope and corresponding plant tag.
--- Both the envelope and plant tag had the same ID number (#ZY86124).
--- An instructional card and sticker slap was also provided.
--- The card had 4 basic steps. In short,
------ Place the tag.
------ Take your sample.
------ Submit your sample.
------ Receive your results.
--- Seems pretty straightforward.
--- What can possibly go wrong right?
--- Heady OG BX1 seems more than ready for sampling.
--- Since I’m only sampling one cultivar, going to place the tag last.
--- If all goes well, should receive my results a week or two. Really hoping for a female.
--- Anyways, let’s go!
- [09:15]: Using a pair of clean trimmers,
--- Clipped a 1-inch leaf sample from Heady OG BX1.
--- Marked the provided bag and placed the leaf sample inside.
--- Placed the plant tag into the solo cup. Not necessary, but why not.
- [09:23]: Placed Heady OG BX1 back into the tent.
--- Plan to ship out the sample tomorrow.
- [12:52]: Personal pheno smoke hunt update!
--- Still enjoying the most recent two harvests and am continuing to hunt through the phenos daily.
--- Persistently surprised on the flavor difference between the two Garlic Budder harvests.
--- Already regret culling two Garlic Budder phenos.
--- Really did not expect such distinct flavor profile differences between a 1-month and 4-month batch of the same pheno.
--- So far, based on my current experience, curing is an essential factor and has changed the way I’m hunting for keepers.
--- Going to extend the plant selection process and will try to cure for a full harvest cycle (which is about 4 months) before truly sampling and deciding on mother plants to cull.
--- Currently both Gorilla Goat phenos are tasting okay, but not as pungent as any of the 4-month cured Garlic Budder phenos.
--- Quite curious on how taste will further develop in 3-4 months.
--- Anyways,
- [16:21]: Evening check on the 4x4 tent.
--- Looking great in the garden!
--- Both Heady OG BX1 and TKO are looking beautiful!
--- Heady OG is growing along like a champ! The cut leaf shows no sign of stress or decay. Nice!
--- Wow! TKO’s growth is has completely changed and is looking healthy and vigorous!
- [16:35]: Took the weekly height and light distance measurements.
------ Heady OG BX1 was about 3" tall.
------ TKO was about 2.5" tall.
------ All phenos were about 31.5" away from the grow light.
- [16:39]: Took general PPFD readings.
------ All phenos were around 280 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 18.14 mol/m²/d under an 18/6 light cycle.
- [16:42]: Checked the Ecowitt soil moisture sensor data:

--------- General: 30% [Dry] | 45 - 60% [Moist] | 70% [Wet]
- [17:36]: Checked the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Wow the mother tent is looking healthy!
--- Veg growth is perky and green!
--- Pots are also looking great and gnat population seems low and unchanged. Plan to swap out the yellow stick traps soon, will leave as is for now.
--- Super-cropped more of the vegging top growth.
- [17:43]: Canopy looks a bit lower and even.
--- Super-cropping really does seem to be the best way to bush out the canopy.
--- Checked the propagation dome,
--- Woah! Can clearly see signs of rooting!
--- Roots are bursting out of the top of a few Coco Coins.
--- Time to transplant the rooted cuttings!
- [17:47]: Took 4 clean pre-used solo cups (already has bottom drainage holes cut) and labeled each with name and date.
--- Filled the bottom of each cup with some fresh (and dry) BuildASoil 3.0 potting soil.
--- Made sure that the soil was well compacted.
--- The soil level is just under the ‘O’ in ‘Solo.’
--- Misted the dry soil with a bit of RO water (~3 sprays).
- [18:02]: Inoculated each cup with Great White mycorrhizae.
------ Sprinkled 1/16tsp of Great White
--- Nice! Time to transplant!
--- One clone at a time,
- [18:05]: Took a rooted clone and placed one into each solo cup.
--- Made sure each solo cup had enough room for more soil.
- [18:14]: Inoculated each Coco Coin with Great White mycorrhizae.
------ Sprinkled about an 1/16tsp of Great White onto each Coco Coin.
--- Tried to dust the top and sides of each Coco Coin evenly.
- [18:17]: Using more fresh BuildASoil 3.0 Potting Soil,
--- Gently filled each solo cup with more soil.
--- Centered each Coco Coin first before gently pouring the soil.
--- Completely covered the top of each Coco Coin and made sure to tuck the sides fairly snug. Tamped down the top soil evenly. Afterwards, sprinkled a bit of loose soil on top.
--- Currently each Coco Coin is at least a quarter inch below the top soil.
--- Using some BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch,
- [18:47]: Covered the top soil of each solo cup with straw.
--- Used the small shredded straw bits at the bottom of the bag (great for solo cups).
--- Time to water!
- [18:56]: Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of RO water.
------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Coconut
------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Aloe
------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete
--- Mixed and poured the solution straight into a spray bottle.
- [18:59]: Took the dry soil weight of each pheno before watering,
------ Gorilla Goat #1 weighed 279.4g
------ Gorilla Goat #2 weighed 281.6g
------ Garlic Budder OG#1 weighed 277.8g
------ Garlic Budder OG#2 weighed 294.6g
--- Marked the starting weight on the back of each cup.
--- While on a scale,
--- Gently misted the straw mulch of each cup.
--- Focused on the straw and sprayed as evenly as possible.
--- Misted 10-20 sprays. Waited a bit, then misted again.
--- Repeated this process for each cup.
--- There was no runoff.
- [19:27]: Took the weight of each pheno after watering,
------ Gorilla Goat #1 weighed 33.1g
------ Gorilla Goat #2 weighed 333.5g
------ Garlic Budder OG#1 weighed 332.2g
------ Garlic Budder OG#2 weighed 348.0g
--- Marked the wet weight on each cup.
--- Having both the initial dry and wet weights gives a basic range to stay within.
--- Should help for future waterings.
- [19:41]: Placed each cup into the 4x4 tent.
--- Placed them above the 5-gallon mulch pot on an upside-down plastic pots.
--- Misted the top growth with RO water.
- [19:45]: Quickly checked on the auto-watering system.
--- System is still charged and no leaks or kinks found in the tubing.
- [19:46]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.

Introduction - Week 06 Summary -
Ensign's log, stardate 17487.4,
Wow what another great week in the garden!
Both tents have been growing extremely well and are looking healthy! If all continues to grow well, be DNA sex testing soon!
Got the DNA sex test results and unfortunately got a male.
Restarted a fourth round of seeds and germinated two more seeds which sprouted into healthy seedlings by the end of the week! Now there are two Heady OG BX1 phenos to hopefully test in a week or so.
Vegging mother plants are continuing to bush out and gnats appear to be completely gone! Based on the vegging clones, plan to cycle out the entire veg tent next week.
Onwards to next week Ensign!

- [12:05]: Okay! Received an email from Farmer Freeman with the DNA sex test results for Heady OG BX1!
--- And the results are,
--- Shaka..
--- When the walls fell..
--- Got a MALE..
--- Whelp.
--- A bit disappointed but nothing I can do about it..
--- Really glad I waited to transplant.
--- Oh well. Guess it’s time to pop more beans!
--- Need to start planning another round of germination soon!
- [23:57]: Night check on the 4x4 tent.
--- Garden is looking green and beautiful!
--- Still a bit disappointed about the DNA sex results but getting a male is normal part of sprouting regular seeds.
--- But can’t worry about things I can’t control. Just keep growing on.
--- To prevent any possibility of accidental pollination, can’t keep male plants. The male has gotta go!
- [23:58]: Culled the Heady OG BX1 (Round 3) cultivar.
--- Already ordered and have more (Farmer Freeman) DNA sex tests on the way!
--- Plan to start seed germination Round 4 tomorrow!
--- Anyways,
--- TKO is looking great and wow the mushrooms are in bloom again! Beautiful!
--- The veg mother clones are also looking health and perky!
--- Aye nice! Stoked that the Garlic Budder OG#1 pheno (bottom right) is starting to grow out of her stunted re-vegging! Not sure what could have caused the unusual growth, but she is looking better now.
--- Need to water the clones. Let’s go!
- [+00:13]: Took the starting weight of each pheno before watering,
------ Gorilla Goat #1 weighed 258.3g
------ Gorilla Goat #2 weighed 244.8g
------ Garlic Budder OG#1 weighed 263g
------ Garlic Budder OG#2 weighed 299.8g
--- All phenos were last watered 2 days ago.
--- While on a scale,
--- Gently misted the straw mulch of each cup with RO water.
--- Focused on the straw and sprayed as evenly as possible.
--- Misted 10-20 sprays. Waited a moment, then misted again.
--- Made sure to reference the initial watering weights.
--- Repeated this process for each cup.
--- There was no runoff.
- [+00:55]: Took the saturated weight of each pheno after watering,
------ Gorilla Goat #1 weighed 355.5g
------ Gorilla Goat #2 weighed 355.5g
------ Garlic Budder OG#1 weighed 354.9g
------ Garlic Budder OG#2 weighed 360.6g
--- Marked the final wet weight on the back of each cup. Also marked the watering date on the front.
--- Also did a bit of defoliation and removed a few of the lower and damaged leaves.
- [+01:10]: Placed all phenos back into the veg tent.
--- Growing and tending to mother plants is a great way to refine veg growing and training.
--- Need to slow down veg growth, so plan to transplant in a week or so.

- [+01:14]: Checked the 3x3 veg tent.
--- Looking great my ladies!
--- Wow mother veg growth is raging and healthy!
--- Nice! Pots are dry and gnats are gone!? Nematodes for the win!
--- Super-cropped more taller branches and dropped the canopy a few nodes lower.
- [21:53]: Looking nice and even!
--- To maintain an even and bushy canopy, super-cropping has been way more effective technique versus topping.
--- But topping definitely has its uses.
- [+01:23]: Checked the humidifiers.
--- Tanks are still full and no leaks found.

--- Ahh yea! I got HEADIES!
--- Both Heady OG BX1 seeds popped and already have healthy tap roots! Wow!
--- Mendo Dope by far has the healthiest genetics I’ve ever sprouted!
--- Never had this sort of vigorous germination growth from any feminized genetic I’ve sprouted.
--- Or maybe I’ve just improved as a grower? Nah!
--- Anyways,
--- Time to plant these trees!
--- Let’s go Ensign!
- [23:23]: Filled a measuring cup with 1 cup of RO water.
--- Added a pinch of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60]
--- Added 1/64tsp of Horticultural Aloe

- [23:32]: Filled a plastic container with 2 full solo cups of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil.
--- Poured the entire 1/4 cup of wetting solution straight in.
--- Mixed the soil and gave it a good squeeze.
--- Needed to add a bit more solution, but eventually,
--- The soil clumped up nicely with no water leakage.
- [23:45]: Filled two solo cups with the pre-wet soil.
--- Started with a handful of soil and packed the bottom of each cup quite firmly. Then loosely filled each cup with more soil.
--- Made a shallow indentation into the center of each cup.
--- Also made sure to mark each cup with both name and date.
- [23:57]: Inoculated each solo cup with mycorrhizae and trichoderma.
------ Sprinkled 1/8tsp of Great White into the center of the indentation.
- [+00:03]: Time to plant the sprouted seeds!
--- Using a clean dab tool, scooped the first Heady OG BX1 seed off the pad and laid her gently into one of the solo cups.
--- Placed her on top of the inoculated area with the tap root sideways.
--- Repeated this process for the other sprouted seed.
--- Sprinkled and covered both seeds with a pinch of fresh BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. Just enough to fully cover the tap root and seed.
--- Misted the top of each cup with 15 sprays of the wetting solution.
- [+00:19]: Covered the top soil with BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch.
--- Misted the top of each solo cup with more of the solution (~10 sprays each).
- [+00:21]: Took initial starting wet weights.
------ Heady OG BX1 weighed 282.0g
------ TKO weighed 282.0g
--- Marked the back of each cup with the initial wet weight.

--- All mother clones are also looking great and fully rooted.
- [19:38]: Night check on the 4x4 tent.
--- Garden is looking healthy and tent environment is stable and humid!
--- Oh what!? Ca-Caw!
--- The center of each cup has definite movement!
- [19:41]: Can barely see both Heady OG BX1 seedlings starting to pop through the straw!
--- Gonna wait a bit more before removing the humidity domes.
--- Wow these genetics are incredible! By far the quickest germination and growth I’ve ever had. Ca-Caw!
--- Since day one, all my seed attempts have been feminized. As a beginner grower, having the benefit of not worrying about males is a definite plus. Heard that regular seeds are more vigorous than feminized. Not sure, if this is true, but Heady OG BX1 has definitely been easier to germinate than TKO.
--- Still not sure what the shaka happened with the last healthy seedling. The issue was most likely user and not genetics.
--- Germination issues aside, once sprouted and rooted, TKO has been extremely healthy! She’s looking green and perky!
--- Anyways,
