this time it's going to be extra sweet and creamy โ I'm kicking off a new genetic out from USA with a very special strain: Oreoz by ๐งกKannabia!๐ค
I'm super excited to see what this strain has in store!

27.04 โพ As usual, I soaked the seed in water overnight and then sealed it in moist absorbent cotton pads in airtight boxes.
28.04 โพ One day later, the radicle had already developed and I was able to carefully plant the seed in the substrate in a coco jiffy with the root facing downwards for best results.
29.04 โพ Day 1 - today the head was already visible - For the first few days it is under a SANlight Flex II with 200 PPFD in my plant cabinet, where I also have high humidity due to my plants that are below - now she gets a little root juice 2ml on1 liter tap water.
30.04 โพ I transplanted the little one into a 1 liter pot filled with BioBizz light mix.
02.05 โพNow that they have formed their first leaf, I place them in the small tent under the Viparspectra dimmed to 20%. I also have a humidifier running.

๐ธThis week, Iโm starting with nutrients. Iโm following the recommended feeding schedule, but Iโm beginning cautiously with only half the dosage for the base nutrients. Gradually, Iโll increase to around three-quarters. All plants will get the same dose for now so I can closely observe how each one reacts. 100 ml
๐ธOne outlier has already caught my eye: the Oreoz has developed mushy, dark spots on its first leaves. So far, sheโs the only one among the five plants under the light showing these symptoms. She might just be a little more sensitive than the othersโor perhaps she's reacting differently to certain conditions. I don't think it will harm her any further. ๐๐

๐ธOreoz: Yeah what can I say, she worried me last week, but I'm almost sure I gave her too much water. I hope the new growth stays nice and green. I haven't watered her for a week, well the others have coped better with the โoverwateringโ than this diva ๐ธ. It is the one that is lagging behind at the moment...I think next week I can repot her and start training...as always I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the girls.

๐ธeach plant 200 ml water, i only watered them once last week and let's see how thirsty they are this week.

๐ธOreoz: You can already see from the roots that it was certainly too wet for her, they are not as well developed as the others. The spots on the leaves have also returned, I suspect a fungal infection and you? mhhh...well, let's see what she does after repotting and topping. Now I'll leave it alone for a week and just do a little LST.

๐ธThe ladies moved into the big tent on the 29th day after I had cleaned it and hung up my new lights.
๐ธOreoz is the smallest of all 4 and the most underdeveloped, but it has stabilized and is now really stepping on the gas, unfortunately a branch broke off during the LST with clips, well, 2 new shoots are coming at this point.
๐ธI only work with hooks and occasionally with clips, but I've often broken branches with them so I prefer to use hooks hehe :D

Hmm, maybe even Thripse! Had the same problem with my Alocasia the last week. Did you look on the downside of the leaves? If there are some very small things there, then it is a problem...

@MrGoonai, Yes, thrips like to eat alocasia :D My Frydek looks really shitty because of them :D but with the Oreoz I am 100% sure that they are not pests. I inspected the plant carefully and the damage from thrips looks different, they stay light/silver but here the color changes. And there are also other plants that look absolutely fine.
