DogDoctorOfficial 🌱 Germination Report – Lava Cake (Zamnesia Seeds)
Grower: Dog Doctor
Genetics: Lava Cake
Breeder: Zamnesia Seeds
Germination Medium: Cannakan with plain water
Additives: Aptus Holland Regulator + Start Booster
⸻
Germination Setup:
For this germination round, we used the Cannakan system, a reliable and efficient method to start seeds. Inside the Cannakan, we added plain water, and we labeled the laminate clearly with the genetics: Lava Cake from Zamnesia Seeds.
To enhance the environment and support the seeds in their first vital hours, we mixed in two trusted products from Aptus Holland:
• Regulator – This product supports cell wall strength and resilience, helping young plants handle early-stage stress and adapt to their environment quickly.
• Start Booster – A biostimulant designed to promote early root development and vigorous initial growth. It kickstarts the root zone with beneficial ingredients that mimic natural processes.
⸻
🌱 Germination Results:
All three Lava Cake seeds successfully germinated—strong, healthy starts! Signs of life appeared in less than 48 hours, with the seeds showing little white root tips, ready to grow. At this point, they were transferred to soil.
Within another 24 hours, the seedlings had already begun to emerge from the soil, standing tall with visible cotyledons and ready for the next chapter. The process was smooth and stress-free, just how we like it.
⸻
🌿 Selection Plan:
From the three healthy seedlings, the plan is to select the two strongest individuals to carry forward. We’ll focus on their growth and traits to ensure we get the best expressions from this Lava Cake run.
⸻

DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Week 1 – Vegetative Stage – Lava Cake (Zamnesia Seeds)
Grower: Dog Doctor
Strain: Lava Cake
Breeder: Zamnesia Seeds
Lights: Future Off LED – Black Series 600
Feed: Aptus Holland – Regulator & Start Booster (1 ml/L)
✨ The First Week of Veg – Fragile Queens in the Making
Our Lava Cake girls are off to a lovely start. They’ve entered the first week of vegetative growth, and even though they’re still tiny, they’re showing strength, personality, and light-hungry spirit.
They’re currently working on their third pair of true leaves, which is a good indicator of steady development. But as sometimes happens early on, they had a bit of a stretch and lean, eventually toppling over slightly. No worries though, a quick roll of wire, a bit of garden ingenuity, and voilà: we built a gentle support system to hold them up. They bounced back like queens. 👑
This phase is delicate, extremely fragile, in fact. So we’re handling everything with maximum love and patience.
💧 Watering & Root Strategy
We’re bottom-watering by filling the tray beneath the pots and letting the soil wick up the water naturally. This method encourages the roots to search downward, creating a stronger, more resilient root system. It helps avoid damping off, prevents overwatering from the top, and trains the plant’s architecture from below.
We’re still using our early-stage nutrient recipe:
• Aptus Regulator (1 ml/L): Keeps the cell walls strong and gives the seedlings the ability to handle environmental fluctuations with grace.
• Aptus Start Booster (1 ml/L): Supports early root development and gentle microbial activity around the root zone.
We’re using this formula during the first week only, a gentle approach for gentle beginnings. Soon, we’ll transition to a different recipe as the plants develop more root mass and leaf surface.
🌞 Lighting – A Spectrum Made for Growth
These little ones are basking under the Future Off Black Series 600, a grow light known for its full-spectrum output and superb penetration. It casts a beautifully balanced glow, helping with leaf expansion and node spacing, ideal for early veg.
The plants are showing that classic “light hug” behavior, reaching gently but not stretching excessively. Just a small adjustment to height or intensity will help keep that under control as they continue to establish themselves.
🔍 What This Week Is (and Isn’t)
What it is:
• A week for foundation—root building, early structural development, and first signs of leaf definition.
• A time for observation and patience. These girls are tiny but telling us a lot already.
• A reminder that gentle starts create strong futures.
What it’s not:
• It’s not a week for heavy feeding, training, or rushing. Let them breathe, root, and shine.
🎓 The Journey Continues…
This is part of our new grow series, documenting the full journey with education, heart, and hands-on love. Every week we’ll dive into the how and why, so others can learn, grow, and maybe feel a little inspired to care more deeply for their own plants.
With care, roots, and green energy,

DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Week 2 Veg – Lava Cake 🍰
Grower: Dog Doctor
Strain: Lava Cake (Zamnesia Seeds)
Tent: 8x8 ft shared tent
Light: Future Off – Black Series 600
Control System: TrolMaster (Model 1 build in progress!)
Watering Method: Bottom-watering 💧
Monitoring: TrolMaster camera (yes, even when nature calls 🚽😄)
⸻
Growing Strong, No Transplant Yet
This week, our Lava Cake queens continue in their starter containers. No transplant yet—that’s planned for next week. For now, it’s all about stable root development, strong vegetative growth, and letting the girls find their rhythm.
They’re pushing out the third pair of true leaves, with three fingers already showing—and the fourth pair is forming, promising four fingers or more. A fantastic sign of healthy photosynthetic power building up!
⸻
💧 Bottom Watering – The Gentle Way to Feed
This week, we continue using the bottom-watering technique, placing the nutrient mix into trays and allowing the plants to absorb from below.
Why Bottom-Watering?
• Encourages deep root growth by drawing roots downward in search of moisture
• Prevents overwatering and reduces risk of damping off or root rot
• Keeps the top layer of soil lightly dry, discouraging fungus gnats
• Allows for even moisture distribution throughout the medium
• Ideal for fragile young plants still establishing their base
We monitor absorption closely, only adding water again when the soil weight tells us they’re ready. This teaches the plant to “hunt” and strengthens the root zone early on.
⸻
Water Mix This Week
Precision-fed, light yet complete:
• pH: 5.83
• EC: 1.01
• Water Temp: 18.5°C
Aptus Nutrients per Liter:
• Regulator – 0.15 ml
• CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml
• All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml
• Start Booster – 2 ml
This mix gives them exactly what they need: strength, structure, and early nutrient stimulation, without overloading fragile roots.
⸻
🌡️ Environmental Conditions
• Room Temp: 27°C
• Humidity: 57.4%
• CO₂: 632 ppm
Girls are thriving under the Black Series 600 LED, which is delivering a clean, full-spectrum light that supports compact growth and rich color development.
The environment is being gradually dialed in with the TrolMaster system—soon fully installed and ready to automate the entire grow. But for now, it’s still hand-watering, hand-checking, hand-loving.
⸻
🔍 What to Expect (and Not to Expect)
Expect:
• Steady vegetative growth with balanced leaf development
• Root system strengthening as bottom watering continues
• Stable EC and pH promoting clean, lush foliage
Not expecting yet:
• Transplant stress — that’s next week’s adventure
• Heavy feeding — keeping it gentle to avoid any burn
• Stretching or issues — light is well-balanced, girls are happy
⸻
💬 Final Words
Week 2 is calm, careful, and calculated. We’re not rushing, just letting nature do her thing with a little guidance. Bottom watering gives the girls confidence to grow downward and upward, and next week, we prepare for the big move: transplant time.
Until then, the Lava Cake queens shine on.
Thank you for being part of this journey 🌿

DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Week 3 – Transplant Week – Lava Cake (Zamnesia Seeds) 🍰
Grower: Dog Doctor
Pheno Selection: Lava Cake #1 & #2
Pots: 11L Amnesia Fabric Pots
Light: Future Off – Black Series 600
Environment: Dual air systems (TrolMaster + Spider Farmer)
Feeding: Hand-watering (for now)
Monitoring: TrolMaster ecosystem (in progress)
⸻
🌱 Transplant Time – Rooted, Ready, and Rising
This week marked a major milestone: our two selected phenos, Lava Cake #1 and #2, were officially transplanted into 11-liter Amnesia fabric pots. The girls are thriving, roots are pristine white and full of life, and the energy in the tent is buzzing with potential.
We celebrated the moment properly—with photos in the studio, of course. They looked so beautiful, they deserved the spotlight. 📸 We’ll try this again next week, before they grow too big to carry!
⸻
Why Fabric Pots?
We chose Amnesia fabric pots for their root-focused benefits:
• Air-pruning the roots naturally, preventing circling and encouraging a healthy root ball
• Increased oxygen to the root zone, supporting microbial activity and faster nutrient uptake
• Better drainage, reducing the risk of overwatering
• Durability & sustainability—washable and reusable
Fabric pots turn the container into a living zone that breathes with the plant. And now, these queens have the space they need to express themselves fully.
⸻
🌿 Soil Mix & Nutrient Support
We prepared a rich, bio-balanced super soil transplant mix, boosted with Aptus Holland amendments:
🔄 Transplant Mix:
• Super soil base
• Aptus Mycor-Mix – inoculates roots with beneficial mycorrhizae
• Aptus Micro-Mix – promotes microbial diversity and root health
• Aptus Substrate Buffer Powder – stabilizes pH and nutrient flow
💧 Feed Mix (per liter):
• Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml (stress support & nutrient flow)
• Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml (structure & balance)
• Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml (base nutrition)
• Aptus Start Booster – 2 ml (root & shoot stimulation)
💦 Water Stats:
• pH: 5.83
• EC: 1.01
• Water Temp: 18.5°C
We continue to bottom-water—placing the solution in trays and letting the girls draw it in themselves. This promotes downward root expansion and avoids oversaturation at the crown.
⸻
🌀 Airflow & Environmental Control
With multiple strains in one tent, proper airflow and environmental balance are essential.
• 2x 6-inch Extractors (one TrolMaster Aerofan, one Spider Farmer)
• 1x 6-inch Intake Fan
• All fans are filtered with carbon filters to purify air and manage odor, even early on. Prevention is key.
The Aerofan is controlled by the TrolMaster system, giving real-time response to temp and humidity. The Spider Farmer fan is managed by a GGS controller, running parallel automation.
• Room Temp: 27°C
• Humidity: 57.4%
• CO₂: 632 ppm
• Light: Full-spectrum from the Black Series 600—compact, clean, and consistent.
This environment isn’t just “good”—it’s being crafted as a living ecosystem. One that will evolve into semi-automation, allowing us to trust and fine-tune from the TrolMaster app.
⸻
🔍 What This Week Is (and Isn’t)
What it is:
• A foundational week: transplant, root expansion, environmental balance
• A chance to observe and support the transition without stress
• A moment to shift from “starter energy” to serious vegetative growth
What it isn’t:
• A week for heavy training—we’re letting them root down before any top work
• A time to overwater—bottom-feeding keeps everything stable
• A race—slow roots = strong fruits later on
⸻
💬 Final Words
Our Lava Cakes are happy, lush, and ready to grow into queens. With their roots now in rich, living soil, and the tent gradually evolving into a precision-controlled jungle, we’re laying the groundwork for a clean, healthy, and joyful flowering run ahead.
More studio photos soon. More lessons too. This isn’t just a grow, it’s a journey of discovery, shared with love.
Until next week—

DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Lava Cake – Week 5 (First Week Flower) | Pre-Bloom & Heat Talk 🌿
The Lava Cakes have officially stepped into their flowering tent… though, to be fair, they’re still enjoying a little extra veg time before showing pistils. Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead.
⸻
📸 Photo Studio Glam
We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight.
⸻
🌡️ Current Conditions
• Room Temp: 31°C
• Humidity: 50.3%
• VPD: 2.23 kPa
• PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s
• Soil EC: ~2.0
• Soil Temp: 25.6°C
Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone.
⸻
💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits
Potential Risks:
• Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed
• Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up
• Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling
• Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower
Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower):
• Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster
• Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time)
• Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough
Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality.
⸻
💧 Watering Strategy
We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages:
• Stronger root growth searching for water
• Better oxygenation of the root zone
• Less risk of root rot in warm temps
Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well.
⸻
Current Feeding (per L of water)
• Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml
• Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml
• Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml
• Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml
With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green.
⸻
🚀 Looking Ahead
• AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control
• First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days
• We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set
• Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues
⸻
💚 Closing Note:
This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. The environment tweaks are on the way, and we’re building them the perfect stage for their bloom performance.

DogDoctorOfficial 🌿 Lava Cake – Week 6 (2nd Week Flower) | Morphing Into Bloom 🌿
The Lava Cakes are officially stepping deeper into flower mode. Stretch is slowing down, morphology is shifting, the leaves, the stance, the energy of the plants are clearly moving toward bloom. Even without a huge photo set this week, the video walkthrough tells the full story: happy, thriving plants under carefully tuned conditions.
⸻
📖 A Quick Recap – From Seed to Here
• Seedling Stage: Strong germination, started in solo cups with Aptus support, rooting fast.
• Veg Growth: Transplanted into fabric pots, lush branching, topped and trained with ease.
• Environment Setup: TrolMaster ecosystem dialed in step by step — exhausts, intakes, carbon filters, sensors.
• Lighting Evolution: Black Series 600 → Future of Grow LEDs → ThinkGrow Model 1 → now with a Lumatek Zeus Compact Pro 465W and the ThinkGrow ICL-300 added to the lineup. The room is a galaxy of light.
• Nutrition Journey: From Aptus start boosters to super soil base, steadily adapted feeding. Now, the recipe grows richer for flowering.
Each step has built the foundation for what’s happening now, the Lava Cakes standing strong in early flower.
⸻
🍽️ This Week’s Feeding Recipe
We swapped Start Booster for Top Booster and layered in a new experiment: Plagron trio support.
Current Mix (per L water):
• Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml
• Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml
• Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml
• Plagron Power Buds – 1 ml
• Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml
• Plagron Green Sensation – 1 ml
The Aptus All-in-One Liquid is on pause for now, pellets in the soil still provide baseline nutrition. This new combo is about flower initiation + terpene support + bio-stimulants. It’s partly science, partly intuition — but that’s how discoveries are made.
⸻
🌡️ Environment This Week
• Room Temp: Up to 34°C (AC unit coming soon to stabilize)
• Humidity: 60–70% at times
• VPD: ~1.89 kPa
• Soil Moisture: Watered when dry-down hits 19–20%
• Monitoring: TrolMaster WCS Substrate Sensor → reading EC, moisture %, and soil temp straight to Tent-X brain
Conditions aren’t perfect, but the girls are handling it gracefully. Warmth makes them thirsty, and with careful irrigation + sensor data, they’re drinking daily and staying strong.
⸻
💡 Lights of the Garden
• Future of Grow LED
• ThinkGrow Model 1 and ICL-300
• Lumatek Zeus Compact Pro 465W
All tied into the TrolMaster network. The room is now a layered ecosystem of precision — light spread, airflow, and CO₂ distribution tuned for a canopy that can handle big flower production ahead.
⸻
🐝 A Note for Nature – The Bees
Alongside all this controlled technology, we can’t forget the real farmers of the world: bees.
A photo this week shows a bee at work, pollinating. Without bees, there would be no flowers, not in the garden, not in the fields, not in the orchards. They are nature’s TrolMaster, carrying genetics forward, balancing ecosystems, ensuring that plants fulfill their destiny.
In our indoor rooms, we simulate everything: light, water, air, food. But bees remind us of the real story outside, a world built on quiet pollination, day by day. A fairytale where the smallest wings sustain the biggest cycles of life.
So this week, the Lava Cakes bloom under LEDs, and the bees bloom under the sun. 🌞🐝
⸻
🚀 Looking Ahead
• AC will stabilize the room climate and drop stress levels.
• Flowers will set fully, with pistils stacking over the next 7–10 days.
• Plagron trio will show its effects, watching closely for flavor, resin, and density changes.
• More light power may be added as the canopy demands.
⸻
✨ Closing Thought: Even on a busy week, even with just a video instead of many photos, the story of these Lava Cakes is alive. They’re moving into flower with strength, under lights, with data guiding them — but always with love as the main ingredient.
