Alex_mir_doch In this run, I'm going to try to completely avoid soil.
I had gotten some pretty expensive US clones for a previous run. Before I sent them into flowering, I cut some clones from them myself.
So let's take this day as day one.
At first, they're under a 100w grow light that isn't dimmable. That's not great for clones, of course.

Alex_mir_doch please forgive me that this report is not particularly detailed. I'm currently gathering what pictures I have in the photo folder on my smartphone and trying to remember what was going on in February.
anyway, the supafreak was the first to root.
I also cut a few more cuttings because friends wanted some too, and just in case any don't root.

Alex_mir_doch A few days later, it became clear that three of the four apple fritters wouldn't make it.
Well, at least I have one that I can keep as a mother.

Alex_mir_doch the supafreaks and the truffles are developing splendidly. the fries, except for one, not so much.
I don't know why that is, and it's not really important. the pictures are already a few months old.
it's not a big deal that they aren't further along yet because the flowering tent was still occupied at that time.

Alex_mir_doch the 2l pots are well-rooted so the remaining ladies are now getting 7l pots as their new home.
I will keep one of each as a mother.
that's just for three freaks and three truffles in the bloom tent.

Alex_mir_doch the truffles stretch noticeably more than the freaks.
but since my goal is to have a as closed as possible canopy on one level, I stuffed as much as possible under the net.

Did some lollipopping at the bottom and removed leaves at the top that were covering the buds.

Alex_mir_doch for the freaks, it's time to hit the home stretch. it's week 6 of flowering. supposedly, they finish after 7-8 weeks.
the truffles need 9-10.
while taking photos, spider mites cheekily grinned at me through the camera. 😑
it's not so bad for the freaks because they'll be harvested soon, but the truffles are a different story.
predatory mites are ordered, but the delivery is delayed due to high outside temperatures. 😑😑😑
by the way, the freaks are only getting pH-regulated now.

Alex_mir_doch absolute catastrophe.
not only the spider mite infestation but also a short but intense heatwave.
that has not been good for the truffles at all, and most of the leaves have dried up within two days and have curled upwards.
inside the tent, it was over 40°C at times. the fans and the exhaust just couldn't handle it anymore.
the truffle in the middle has been hit the hardest. but it's still alive.
the freaks are completely unfazed and have hardly changed at all.
fortunately, the predatory mites have arrived.

Alex_mir_doch the truffles look quite nice but need about another week.
one plant didn't survive the weather-related stress.
now there are only two left.
supafreak ist wirklich sehr robust und genügsam und verzeiht auch fehler schnell.
von allen steckies die ich geschnitten habe hat sie am schnellsten wurzeln gebildet.
dezenter geruch der leicht fruchtig ist.

Alex_mir_doch Not much has happened since the last entry. The trichomes didn't really want to turn amber, even though I gave the plants two weeks more time than planned.
I only roughly trimmed them for drying. The fine work will come after drying.
Since the white truffle are still in the tent, the freaks are hanging in the closet for now.
The conditions for drying are currently very bad due to the weather. With 70% room humidity, nothing is going to dry quickly.
Maybe summer will finally arrive in the next few days.

Alex_mir_doch I wanted to find out if you can grow in 100% Seramis during the whole event.
Yes, you can, but it's challenging. Basically, it's a hydroponic growing method where you have to add all the nutrients.
Because Seramis doesn't hold water as well as assumed, I ended up installing a drip irrigation system that runs for 30 seconds every hour. That worked surprisingly well.
It's worth noting that you don't have any problems with fungus gnats.
Maybe I'll try half Seramis and half coco next time.
Dude, saying it's brutal is an understatement😹 ! (Reminder to myself) ---- Don't always be so timid^^ It's crazy how resilient this plant is and what it can endure💚
