Welcome to week10 of my Royal Gorilla by Royal Queen Seeds diary
This week I noticed that the upper part of the flower was ready to harvest, so yesterday night i took off a piece, it's the majority of the HST'ed main cola.
This way the buds on the center cola emerge from the stem like normal buds for the biggest part.
I don't want to wait for amber, the THC level will drop too much
So... I think next week i can smoke a test example of the weed and tell you more about it.
Oh.. btw. this flower had some leaves with powdery mildew, i had it before, it does do something with your yield numbers, but as long as you wipe the leaves now and then with a wet cloth, the most will dissappear for a couple of days, it won't have too much effect on the quality and yield.
When I look at this flower i think that Royal Queen seeds is a great company with very good seeds, the resistance against insects looks good, i planted a tobacco plant in the same pot as pest prevention. The plant has super resistance against rain, i have a tomotoe tent (not expensive, nice and cheap, not so stable when it gets really windy though) but most of the time when it rained i forgot to put her in the tent.
Plants smells really really good, neighbours say it smells just like Lemon Haze or dutch coffeeshop amnesia haze.
- About the Royal Gorilla's dankness:
this weed smell danky, but a special kind of dank
it fills up the room (i have simple roof terrace) with a lemony aroma that weedsmokers get attracted to, but won't get you in trouble with the wife, or mom it you're a bit younger.
totally non skunky only citrus alike smell, with a little pinch of pine freshness on top of it.
@GrowDiaries, is it like the "diary of the month", where we have to harvest before we can join the competition?
I don't see a way to participate now.
I'm at step 2 at this time, i received the 2 autoflower strains and started the first 1strain diary.
@Denzul, yes, i like the colour too, the soil ir re-used a couple of times and i've added calcium, cow fertilizer and chicken fertilizer (dried) to the soil to upgrade it.
@Puffer_Bill, Thanks, i hope it stays that way, i have a small virginia gold tobacco next to it, hoping that, that one scares the insects away.
Happy growing
@CRiSPrGrow,
yes, it's a 50L container with re-used soil
so i felt the need to add some guano.
grow caps itsself is marvelous, but the yield seems to be lower than normal. it does compete because the taste is probably the best you ever tasted.
So i'm hoping for some expansion in yield by adding the guano
