Hi everybody!, to those who know me you've guessed right i am back!!! I run out of weed from the previous harvest so i need to grow once again my medicine.
This time i am happy to announce that i have a small upgrade since i equipped myself with both veg and flowering nutrients, which means when i am into flowering i wont have to feed her with just 20-20-20 fert!!
I am looking forward to yet another great season of growing. I hope i will make you all proud with this new grow! :)
I will start counting days and weeks once she grows her first pair of leaves (not the embryonic ones)
Here is something that i have spotted in this growth as well i know its not bad but i m trying to understand why its happening. Like my previous growth the very first 2 notes always turn yellow on the tips. Why? P.S. Soil is brand new out of the package.
Could be a little nute burn. The new growth looks good though, I put about a cup of seed starter or non fertilized soil mix in the middle of the pot to put the seed in until the roots and seedling are larger.
Here is a question for the masters of ganja!! Do you believe the fact that i keep her height as low as 10cm can turn against me in terms of lower harvest or any other issues?? Drop me your thoughts, please!! <3 xx
@Experimentgreen, I come from the Hindu Kush mountains in Pakistan....NOT! xD I like how easy autoflowers are to grow and currently is the only one i have and it seems like i am not going to get any more soon! So after this one i have another 2 seeds and then i will start a different strain i hold on!! :)
Nice tight bud structure for day 57! Awesome colors too.
My first auto (the one Iβm doing now) was started in a solo cup, be careful though because they can get root bound really quick, 3 weeks and they need to be transplanted.
My 2nd grow I am doing them directly in there forever home of a 5gal fabric pot. If you havenβt tried fabric I would highly recommend it.
@CRiSPrGrow, haha yes! :) if i step up and create a dedicated and incognito place/room it would be easy my lights can do with more plants since i m using only half of their power!
@CRiSPrGrow, hehe i would love to, but 2 reasons i can't. My grow space is so small i barely have space for this one, and because i grow incognito, i am looking forward to the harvest day of this one, in order for me to take a small break a month or two from being stressed of anyone founding out!
Maybe once i manage to step up my grow space i want to try growing in cups because i know how to propagate plants and always when i cut down stems, i want to propagate them and many time a cup would be more than enough for an auto-flower to propagate, but also i would love sometime in the future to start from seed in a cup! My first grow here was done is a tiny pot, maybe 3 times the size of a cup, its interesting because you need to regulate how much you water, and also due to the size of a pot/cup you need to feed earlier but also more regularly with nutrients.
In the future, i am thinking of renovating my bookshelf into a grow room! :)
@Puffer_Bill, thank you xxxx!!!! I don't lolilipop because they are autoflowers, but when i go back to normal seeds i will use lolipoping and also topping and make it a work of art! :)
Gratulations on Your harvest. Impressed with 60g from 1 autoflower plant. Also You proof, that it is possible to grow heavy in small pot. Overall nice diary full of love for growing. Pleasure to see this. Wish You nice days. π
@GrowSport, hi dear sorry for the late response, as i am currently taking a break! Let me start that after two months of curing her now she is becoming more and more tasteful and aromatic! Really satisfied with the end product and i still have some stash from her!
In terms of the quantity unfortunately i had to cut her down much earlier, her pistils not even 20% was orange :( This 60g could easily become 100g if i had let her live to her full potential which was another 3 weeks extra.
I am hoping that in my next one i will have the time to grow her to her full potential and i am sure i can break the 100grams under the same conditions as the previous 3! :)
@Puffer_Bill, hehe thank you Master! :) I love how i learn to do better LSTing every time, this one i almost killed her because i started training on day two lol but now its all good. My only concern is that the main stem touches the soil and i am not sure if this could be dangerous for its health. If you know pls tell me i would like to know :p
@GrowSport, hahaha :P i bought a pack of 5 of them you should expect a couple more diares of it after this one! :) But i got a few more seeds of different strains that i plan to use after HK! :)
Ok this my opinion. Added of new good soil is great for 60 days or less. Remember ph your water to 6.8! Also you can add a bit of cal mag. Get at if need more let me know if your vibe info
@Buddha2, ok first he has much bigger space than i do and he has a better grow setup than mine and maybe it could have played a role. But LSTing indeed helps to increase yiels. if you are not convinced try it with two plants then one lst and one with not, search in internet to find more about LSTing and why it indeed helps increase yields and even if you are using normal feminised seeds you can add topping and SCROG and increase significantly even more than LSTing alone and ofcourse even more from just letting it grow as it is. Other or mostly all growers i am sure they will agree with me that LSTing increases significantly yields used in the proper way and not just bending stems because you want to. Also if you are not convinced by me ask the grand master growers like @spinner, @clubRiot, or any one else and i think they would agree. Anyhow dear its your grow you decide what you do what it is important is to be happy from what you are doing and to try to learn as muck as possible and try to apply them without hesitation! Wishing you a happy grow! :)
And lastly in a space of just 60cm long like mine i yielded half a kilo wet from just one plant he had 3 much bigger space better equipment and yet less than mine from 3 plants SO YES lst is great for your plants
If you want also check growdiaries.com/diaries/6547-bye-bye-stress@totem what he does in this diary from JUST ONE plant!
I hope you find these things useful. I am not a master a grew three plants only but LSTing worked marvelous for me! :)
@Homegrown_Mary, I'm not convinced yet. Have a look at this diary: growdiaries.com/diaries/23907-1st-grow-auto-bluetooth . This guy has grown three plants of the same strain and has applied different levels of LST to each of them. The plant without any LST was the biggest yielder. And with my fat fingers I will certainly damage my babies π But I will certainly give it a try somewhen in the future.
If you end up thinking the soil might have too much nutes to start your plants try giving it a light flush with ph balanced water and have it dry out first. Other than that they look nice, grood luck!
@Homegrown_Mary, Yay! Glad theyre looking better, and that it looks like weve found the issue :)
I was going to switch the soil I use for my babies but I had sooo much foxfarm happy frog left I couldn't justify getting another bag of dirt that i'd have to find space for haha. I think as long as its not absolutely ridiculous they tend to grow out of it and recover
@ChainsawSanta, i feel like that indeed the soil had more nutrients than it could handle gladly it stopped now it was only for the first notes this time! :)
@Buddha2, thank you! <3 it could have been much more if i had harvest at the correct time which was about 3 weeks later from when i actually harvest! :/ such a shame sometimes life leaves u with a bitter sweet taste towards the end :/
