Started to root the TKO clone along with the veg mothers. Plan to check for roots towards the end of next week. Also started the germination process for this grow cycle in solo cups and still waiting on sprouts. Since I’m sprouting more regular seeds, plan to sex test again as soon as the seedlings get large enough. Throughout the entire week, the cover crop has been looking healthy and all pots are slowly filling in and looking great! Also inoculated all pots in the entire garden with fresh worms! Been having a slight issue with auto-watering in the garden. Been trying to figure out the smart triggering issue for the veg tent. Been physically watering two of the moms through the Ecowitt app. Anyways, onwards to next week! Time to start the clonal rooting process! --- These cuttings have been soaking for about 5 days. - [17:44]: Filled a plastic bin with 4 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete --- Mixed the solution thoroughly. - [17:48]: Dropped 6 Coco Coins into the plastic container. --- The compressed coins immediately started to expand. ------ [» TIMER SET FOR ~10 MINUTES «] --- While the Coco Coins were soaking, - [17:57]: Cleaned and reset the propagation tray. --- Added the tray and side extenders back. --- Removed the TKO and Heady OG BX1 TC-containers along with the Garlic Budder #2 and Gorilla Goat #2 clones. - [18:02]: Placed each fully saturated Coco Coin into half-cut solo cups. --- Using a squeeze bottle filled with Clonex, - [18:05]: Gently filled each pre-made hole with Clonex rooting gel. --- Time to plant the cuttings! --- Using a pair of clean trimmers, - [18:10]: Took a cutting and made a final 45° cut. --- Also stripped and scrapped some of the stem’s outer membrane. --- Inserted and fully seated the cutting into an empty Coco Coin. --- To help with planting, gave each Coco Coin a squeeze to loosen the coco. --- Made sure to insert the stem straight and snug with the tip about a 1/4 inch from the bottom of the Coco Coin. --- Also secured the stem by pinching and pressing in the top of the Coco Coin before setting it back into the half-cut solo cup. - [18:26]: Repeated this process for each cultivar. --- Using painter's tape and a sharpie, made sure to tag each cutting: ------ [Mother] TKO ------ [Mother] Heady OG BX1 #1 ------ [Mother] Gorilla Goat #1 ------ [Mother] Garlic Budder #1 ------ [Clone] Gorilla Goat #2 ------ [Clone] Garlic Budder #2 --- Once each cutting was planted in a Coco Coin, --- Prepped the propagation tray by misting the sides of the propagation dome with RO water. --- Then gently placed each clone into the propagation tray. --- Made sure to keep everything properly tagged. - [18:32]: Sprayed the top of the propagation dome with RO water before covering the propagation tray. --- Vents are fully closed. --- Ca-Caw! Time to finally start popping more beans! --- This will be grow log 15 and seed attempts #78-81 --- As for genetics, plan to grow some Chillout OG (F3) by Mr. Grow It! --- Will also be attempting to pop beans of Dead Ops OG from Zaza Genetics! --- Since these will be regular seeds, plan to pop two of each and will be sex testing (via Farmer Freeman) for females. --- As for the germination method, going to sow the seeds straight into solo cups of BuildASoil 3.0 potting soil. --- Similar to rooted clone planting, will be pre-wetting the soil, and will be watering by weight. --- As I usually germinate my seeds using the cotton pad method, will need to dial in this process, but once perfected, direct sowing should save time. Let's grow! - [17:23]: Took 4 solo cups with bottom corners cut out for drainage and prepared a set of labels. --- Using painter's tape and a marker, made the following labels: ------ Chill Out OG x2 [Mr. Grow It | Reg - F3] ------ Dead Ops OG x2 [Zaza Genetics | Reg] --- Also made sure to mark the pheno number for each label. - [17:34]: Filled a measuring cup with 2 cups of RO water. ------ Added 1/64tsp of Quillaja Saponaria Extract [60] ------ Added 1/32tsp of WDG3000 Extra Strength BTI ------ Added 1/16tsp of Horticultural Aloe ------ Added 1/8tsp of Mycrobe Complete --- Mixed the solution and poured a cup of the solution into a spray bottle. --- Left the rest of the solution in the measuring cup for later. - [17:39]: Filled a plastic container with 4 full solo cups of BuildASoil 3.0 Potting soil. ------ Poured about 1/2 cup of wetting solution straight in. - [17:54]: Mixed the soil and gave it a good squeeze. --- The soil clumped up nicely with no water leakage. - [17:57]: Filled each solo cup with the pre-wet soil. --- Started with a handful of soil and packed the bottom of the first cup quite firmly. --- Then loosely filled the cup with more soil. --- Made a shallow indentation into the center of each cup. - [18:06]: Repeated this process until all cups were full of soil. --- Made sure to leave enough room for straw mulch. - [18:11]: Inoculated the center of each solo cup with Beauveria Bassiana and mycorrhizae. ------ Sprinkled 1/16tsp of: --------- Beauveria Bassiana Plus --------- Great White --- Tried to sprinkle the inoculants evenly. - [18:13]: Ca-Caw! Time to plant the seeds! Planters of the trees! Let's go! --- Starting with Chill Out OG, --- Wow the seeds look very healthy! Can clearly see tiger-stripes and these beans seem a bit larger than the usual seeds I’m used to. Nice! --- Took two random seeds and placed them into the center of two inoculated solo cups making sure to set them sideways. --- As for Dead Ops OG, --- These beans are paler in color, but look nice and healthy! --- Took two random seeds and placed them into the center of two inoculated solo cups making sure to set them sideways. --- Then gently, pinched and tucked each seed into the top 1/8 inch of soil. - [18:23] Tucked made sure each seed was properly seated in the center of the top soil. --- Misted the top soil with 15 sprays of the wetting solution. - [18:35]: Covered the top soil of each cup with BuildASoil Organic Straw Mulch. --- Made sure the soil was completely covered with straw. --- Misted the top of each solo cup with more of the solution (~10 sprays each). - [18:39]: Took the initial saturated weight of each pheno before watering, ------ Chill Out OG #1 » 279.4g ------ Chill Out OG #2 » 270.6g ------ Dead Ops OG #1 » 273.6g ------ Dead Ops OG #2 » 267.3g --- Using painter's tape, marked the starting weight on the back of each cup. --- While on a scale, --- Gently misted the straw mulch with the wetting solution. --- Misted 5-10 sprays. Waited a few seconds, then misted again. --- Repeated this process until each cup weighted at least 300g. --- There was no runoff. - [18:59]: Took the saturated weight after watering, ------ Chill Out OG #1 » 301.0g ------ Chill Out OG #2 » 301.0g ------ Dead Ops OG #1 » 300.8g ------ Dead Ops OG #2 » 301.0g --- Using painter's tape, marked the watering date on the side of the cup. --- Also updated the saturated weight range on the back for each cup. - [19:08]: Covered each cup with a clear solo cup. --- Misted the inside of each cup with RO water. Secured each with a bit of painter's tape. - [19:16]: Once each cup was cover with clear solo cups, placed them into the 4x4 tent. --- Set each cup on top of plastic platform (on top of a drip tray) in the center of the tent resting on the 30-gallon pots. --- Since the weather is also getting cooler (and not using heating mats), also adjusted the tent's environmentals for a warmer veg. - [19:36]: Within the AC Infinity App, --- For the Main Tent [4x4] controller, --- Adjusted the 'Vegetative [18/6]' Schedule for the heater. ------ HEATER (AC INFINITY THERMOFORGE T3): ------ Increased the Temp target value from 82°F to 84°F --- If needed, will also clean and reset the mini space heater for the lung room, but will just use the tent heaters for now. - [19:39]: Took PPFD readings. ------ All cups were around 131 μmol/m²/s which gives a DLI of 8.49 mol/m²/d under a 18/6 light cycle (@ ~149.0W). - [19:42]: Also applied similar HEATER settings for the Veg Tent [3x3] controller. --- Ca-Caw! Done! --- Plan to check daily and will remove the clear cups as the seeds sprout. --- Alright little ones, grow and sprout strong! --- Let's go! Let's grow! - [20:02]: Quickly checked on the RO reservoir and auto-watering system. --- All Ecowitt units are also connected and charged with no issues detected. - [20:56]: Wow what a day! --- Time to smoke! --- Been sampling Heady OG BX1 all week and wow she’s dank! --- Getting a Headband-fuel that is just straight gas! Ca-Caw!! - [21:08]: Checked the humidifiers. --- Tanks are still full and no leaks found. Day 05 - Friday - 11/07/25 - Total Days: 002 ----------------------------------- Daily Averages ~[+01:00] - Temps: 83.2°F [28.4°C] - Humidity: 78.6% - VPD: 0.82 kPa - Soil %: [37, 68, 37, 60, 40, 54, 42, 46, 36, 41] ----------------------------------- - [21:15]: Night check on the 4x4 tent. --- Garden is looking great and pots are all continuing to sprout more cover crop! Nice! --- Checked on the recently planted seeds and as expected, no signs of sprouts quite yet. --- Also cuttings, clones, and explants are all okay with no new issues. - [21:17]: Okay! Time to add some worms! --- As usual, got more worms from Uncle Jim and got another 100 Red Wigglers (Eisenia Fetida) for the garden! - [21:21]: Emptied the entire bag of soil substrate and worms into a plastic container. --- Wow these worms are looking healthy! - [21:22]: Okay time to inoculate the pots! --- Temporarily cleared the top of the back left pot and removed the drip-tray cover to reveal the pre-inserted solo cup. --- The empty solo cup insert also has the bottom cut out. --- Gently dropped a handful of live worms into the center of the cup. --- Once the worms were in the cup, covered the area with the drip tray cover and placed the clones and explants back. - [21:30]: Repeated this inoculation process for the rest of the 30-gallon pots in the tent. --- All pots inoculated and looking great! --- Wow the cover the cover crop is continuing to develop in all 3 pots and can see more sprouts! --- Both clones need watering! - [21:36]: Here are the starting initial watering ranges: ------ Gorilla Goat #2 » 255.4g → 300.3g and was last watered 3 days ago. ------ Garlic Budder OG#2 » 256.4g → 300.2g and was watered 4 days ago. --------- General Solo Range: [Dry] «| [Initial Cup Weight] + ~55-100g |» [Wet] --- Took the starting weight of both clones before watering, ------ Gorilla Goat #2 » 272.7g ------ Garlic Budder OG#2 » 277.3g --- While on a scale, --- Gently misted the straw mulch of both cups with RO water. --- Focused on the straw and sprayed as evenly as possible. --- Misted 10-20 sprays. Also marked the watering date on the front. --- Placed both phenos back into the tent. - [22:09]: Checked the 3x3 veg tent. --- Looking healthy in the mother tent! --- Been continuing to physically water the front two pot using the Ecowitt App, but otherwise, no issues detected! --- Checked on the rooting cuts in the propagation dome, --- Clones look great for the most part. Time to take the cuttings! --- Using a pair of clean trimmers, - [19:43]: Cut several clonal cuttings from each mother plant and clone. --- Only need one cutting of each to root, but to ensure successful rooting, took two of each cultivar. --- Made sure to trim most of the branches leaving a top node or two. --- Did not cut any leaf fingers and made sure to cut the tip of the stalk (about 45-degree) before placing into the cup of aloe solution. - [19:46]: Also topped and defoliated each mother plant by removing a decent amount of growth. --- Tried not to fully bonsai, but still removed quite a bit of growth. --- Mulched the trimmings (in the 4x4 mulch bin). --- Have each cup resting on top of the 30-gallon pots (on drip trays). --- Okay!
