Soon a Tropicana Cookies Automatic from Zamnesia will be growing here. I’m excited to finally test this strain, since it’s intertwined in the lineage of many varieties I really enjoy. Growing a Zamnesia strain is always fun, and I’m already looking forward to some fruity, chunky buds.
I germinated the seed between damp paper towels, and after just 1.5 days it had cracked open and the first little root was visible. I then placed the seed straight into its 9L final pot filled with Plagron Lightmix.

Things aren’t going very well here. I was already thinking about replacing the plant, but in the end I decided to let her grow. It looks like weak genetics, since I have several other different strains in this tent that are thriving. I hope she manages to recover at least somewhat.

Things still aren’t going very well with my Tropicana Cookies. The first two sets of leaves grew in completely deformed, but by now she seems to have recovered. Still, it slowed her down for at least a week. I’m honestly not expecting much from her anymore. Next time I might germinate two seeds just to be safe and pick the stronger one.

My plant is slowly recovering from the rough start. The side branches are finally beginning to grow a bit, and the main stem is gaining some strength as well. I’m hoping she puts on a bit more growth before switching to flower; otherwise the harvest won’t be great. I probably won’t do any more training here, just to avoid slowing her down even further. Let’s see what she turns into.

This week went very well for my plant. It seems to have fully recovered and is now growing at a good pace. On top of that, it’s very healthy and has developed a really strong structure. By the end of the week, the first pistils were already visible. This plant is making me happier and happier as time goes on. It appears to be very easy‑going and handles plenty of light and nutrients without any issues. I’m curious to see how much it will stretch.

This week went pretty well for my plant. I had some minor issues with nutrient supply, but things seem to be stabilizing now. I defoliated the lower part of the plant again because there’s quite limited space in my tent. I’m now watering with nutrient solution twice and then once with plain water so I don’t run into a deficiency again.

Things are going well with my plant so far. The stretch seems to be mostly over, and the buds are starting to gain volume and develop more aroma. The first trichomes are already visible on the flowers, and you can even notice a slight taste. The plant is getting a lot of fertilizer by now, but it seems to need it.

It was a real up‑and‑down ride with this Tropicana Cookies, but overall definitely more ups than downs. After the rough start I decided not to do any training, which turned out to be the right call here. This strain grows like crazy and needs a lot of nutrients and light to keep up with that pace.
I wasn’t really able to keep the parameters at an ideal level throughout the grow, yet she still turned into a massive plant in just a 9L pot. Really impressive genetics, I have to say. Because of the low temperatures many of the buds ended up a bit fluffier, but it didn’t seem to affect the terpene profile at all. So far it’s giving off a very intense and high‑quality impression. I’m already looking forward to tasting it.
