India_Calcoen I’m starting my first indoor grow! I decided to grow Zamnesia’s landrace pack. I want to get familiar with the origins of contemporary hybrid strains. It’s going to be a challenge - growing radically different genetics with diverging growth and flowering times, all in the same tent. I will need a lot of patience and settle for a lower yield, but I love starting a new learning journey!
I’m intrigued by the relationships between people and their (heritage) crops and animals. My other hobby is raising Ronquières turkeys. The original breed of turkeys that were domesticated by the indigenous people of central America and brought to Europe by Spanish explorers in the early 1500s. The Belgian artist Joachim Beuckelaer painted a (dead) turkey in 1566 that looks exactly like my turkey tom named “Hempie”.

India_Calcoen My seed was planted on the 22nd directly into soil and germinated on the 26th of November. I transplanted the seed with it's growbag to a 12,5 litre Airpot on the 3rd of December. The growbags are quite handy when I want to transplant a seedling from the propagator to the pot. I can lift the seedling with it's soil easily and the roots grow easily through the growbag.
I have 4 seedlings growing at this moment. Thai from the Landrace Pack didn't germinate so I decided to grow Lamb's Bread instead. I planted the Lamb's Bread seed in the propagator on the 28th of November. I prepared a pot for it. I put a beer bottle to keep a hole for the seedling. I hoped to grow some new beer, but nothing happened 🍺🍻😉😎

Colombian Gold is growing fast and fine! The soil is drying fast and I'm checking everyday if I need to water her. She gets plain water or water with Plagron Power Roots.

Colombian Gold has a thick stem and wide, big leaves. I did not expect she would have the same structure as my Afghani and my Panama Red. Maybe their structures will change when I switch to 12/12, but for now they are all growing similar.
Today I decided to top her, defoliate her and open her up a little. I had to wait a few days more to top her because she is growing a bit slower than Afghani and Panama Red.

Colombian Gold is growing fine! I gave her 0,75 litres of plain water today. Her leaves are looking good. I cut a few big fan leaves off, to open her up a bit.

Colombian Gold is growing nicely. But her leaves look a bit droopy sometimes, I will keep a close eye on her. My indoor plants never had the nice, upwards facing leaves like my outdoor plants. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. Or maybe plants just prefer the real sun? ☀️🤷♀️
I defoliated the lower leaves, the ones touching the soil. After that I bended some of her branches more outwards with pins. Spreading her out a bit.

Colombian Gold is growing fine. No special remarks. I’m feeding her lightly. She is a good plant 👍 Switched her to 12/12 today, we will see what happens 🌺

I’ve watered her again. She needs a litre almost every day! I defoliated some leaves to let the light shine on her growing tips. She doesn’t show signs of flowering yet.

Colombian Gold is doing great. I really like this plant. I should defoliate her, but today I don’t have the energy for it. Hopefully tomorrow or later this week.

Third week of 12/12 for Colombian Gold. Her buds are developing nicely, she has nice, white hairs. I saw some brown tips but didn’t find any herming in the tent. It’s probably some stress or me touching the plant. It’s quite crowded in the tent!
I defoliated her today big time. I didn’t know where to start so I started cutting some branches. Cutting branches hurts! Some of them where lime green, have never seen any light in their short lives. I also found some dried leaves. She already started defoliating herself a bit 😉 It’s a pity I forgot to take some pictures before defoliating, but the short video gives an impression of her bushy structure.
I love how she grows ❤️❤️💚💚💛💛

Colombian Gold is growing good. Nice thick, dark green leaves. She looks healthy. I need to defoliate her some more, but I’m not in a hurry.

Two weeks ago I had an epidural and it left me with an intense headache that almost lasted for two weeks. I had to remain flat for most of the days and couldn’t do my business as usual. The first days after the procedure I even had to ask my husband to feed and water my plants. Fortunately everything went fine. I’m glad that is over now! Usually I have a daily, chronic headache and a migraine 4-8 days a month, but the epidural headache was the worst ever!
The buds of my plants are filling up nicely. Columbian Gold already has such nice buds and still needs lots of weeks of flowering. I wonder how she will turn out! Lamb’s Bread pollinated her a bit, but I hope the amount of seeds will be minimal. Everything is going fine, the feeding and the watering. I love my dehumidifier which keeps humidity stable and low, just like I want it in the flowering phase.

I don’t know what’s happening here, but Colombian Gold is maturing much faster than expected. Could it be the pollination by my Hermie? Her pistills are already turning brown and the trichomes are getting milky. Or is it the genetics? Maybe I got a different seed from a plant with a much faster finish? I have to keep a close eye on her…
From now on I’m going to give her only plain water.

The last few weeks were hectic and sad. My father-in-law was suffering from horrible pains in his body, in his bones, from cancer. Chemo didn’t work anymore, pain medication couldn’t ease his pain. He asked me before if I could give him some of my ‘hasjiesj’ (he used to call it that way), but I only got permission to try something two weeks ago. We used my vaporiser and RQS Milky Way F1. It didn’t do wonders, but he was able to laugh and make fun with his relatives and friends that were coming to our house and saying goodbye to him. I’m glad I could make him feel a little bit better on these moments that mattered. Last week he passed away. 🖤💫
Colombian Gold is doing fine. The pistills are mostly brown and I don’t think she needs lots of weeks to finish. I’m keeping a close eye on her progress. Maybe harvest is near? I stopped feeding her. She only gets plain water.

Colombian Gold started growing lots of nanners! Could it be rodelization? Is she already past her harvesting time? She is just flowering for 8 weeks now and I see amber pistills already… I’m so confused 😵💫🤷♀️

It’s the 9th week of flowering for Colombian Gold and she is close to harvest. Her pistills are mostly brown and the trichomes are getting more and more milky. She had lots of nanners and I inspect her daily to pinch them off. Her leaves are turning purple/brown and she is getting plain water for a week now. Today I defoliated her. And I also forgot to switch the light back on the time schedule after watering and she had 24 hours of light on the lowest mode (11%). No proper day and no proper night. I hope this doesn’t mess things up now. I can almost smell the finish line 🏁😉

Colombian Gold is still growing. She is getting plain water for quite a while now, but there’s no fading. Her leaves are still dark green and dark brown/purple. Trichomes are mostly milky and amber - harvest is near!
The only problem I had with this plant was the herming during the end of flower. Great plant during the rest of the grow.

Harvested the plant. Hung it up to dry in a dark room with 50-60% humidity for almost three weeks. A bit too long, but I got sick and hadn’t had the energy to trim it earlier. Satisfied with the results, 135 grams of dry weight 💪 No idea about the taste or smell because I’m having Covid again 😬
If the trichomes already look like that and, as you can see in the pictures, 90% of the pistils are brownish, I would harvest them before microseeds start forming on this plant or the others. I don’t think any of the plants will produce fully mature seeds at this point.
I read that removing the large sun sails would stimulate the flowers a little more and make them plumper. Unfortunately, the leaves are falling off on their own at the moment because my EC was too high, so I can't test it myself. I think your flowers are already very fine. I also think it allows more air to get through, which prevents the flowers from becoming too moist and starting to rot. Sorry, I'm on a writing roll and very high xD
