This week we started with LST and removed 2-4 leaves on each plant to create a balanced, well-lit canopy! At the beginning of the week, I made sure that the plants had a decent dryback after the last watering so that they send the roots on the search for water. The remaining days, I won't let them dry out too much.

This week we watered for the first time until the drain. In addition, I defoliated a little more so that all shoots got light and no leaves had to be on the ground.

Week 5
This week we water regularly until a little bit drain and optimize the growth with LST without forcing it to get to wide. In addition, I cut away some leaves to ensure that every bud site gets enough light. At the End of the week we switcht to 12/12

At the beginning of the week I watered directly with a significantly higher drain because the 2 rear plants have got CalMag deficiency stains, which can only indicate a lockout! My guess is that the addition of RhinoSkin (potassium silicate) led to a starting CalMag blockage, therefore more drain to remove this accumulation! The drain had the following values:
Irrigation water (rainwater with fertilizer)
EC 0.90 pH 6.2
Plant front left (600ml)
EC 1.35
pH 6.2
Plant front right (600ml)
EC 1.25

Wow what a stretch! Despite a lot of training, they are practically exploding in growth! Fortunately, I had expected that, so at the end of the stretch we will have a perfectly filled tent without a lot of headaches or anything like that! The looming CalMag deficiency seems to be tackled, so we continue to water and fertilize normally!

The stretch is slowly over, which is why I watered with FlashClean to get unnecessary salts and excess nitrogen out of the soil or make it available for the plant again.
On day 21, I will lolipop, and from this moment on, I will only use flowering fertilizer.
In my opinion, the strain has a relatively large spacing between the internodes from the main bud to the next bud site; we have almost 10cm, which of course offers advantages and disadvantages.

The stretch is over and the plants are visibly pushing all their energy into trichomes and buds...
We water as normal but have to keep an eye on the nutrients with 2 plants because the tips are slightly burned but at this moment there is nothing bad or critical.

The first terpenes are starting to come through – and the best way to describe the aroma is simply with an enthusiastic "WOOOW!" I am extremely excited to see how the profile will continue to develop. To unlock their full potential, we are pushing the nutrients to the absolute maximum this week so the buds get full power. Otherwise, not much is changing in the routine, but from now on I'll be keeping a very close eye on the runoff from the 11L pots with every watering. So far, we've had a very solid difference of 0.3 to 0.5 between the input EC and the runoff EC. However, since we are now feeding at the absolute limit, it can easily happen that more ends up in the substrate than the plants can actually process. That's exactly why it is so important right now to flush regularly with Flash Clean to prevent dangerous build-up and keep the nutrient uptake running perfectly. At the end of the week we gave more Novamax because the ladies are extremely hungry and the leaves are getting bright almost yellow!

It is crazy how much mass the buds are putting on right now! But you can also tell it takes a massive amount of energy: two of my plants are starting to show slightly lighter leaves. To stop them from cannibalizing their own leaves any further, they are getting a solid extra dose of NovaMax Bloom for the bulk phase. The fact that the leaves won’t immediately turn perfectly deep green again doesn’t really matter. I am steering things purely by the drain EC values now, keeping the higher feed going until the runoff EC climbs significantly or we get the first signs of slightly burnt tips.
One minor bummer was a quick glitch with the dimmer. The FC 3000 Evo unfortunately caused some mild light bleaching on the tips of the plants in the front left. Luckily, I caught and fixed it fast enough so it won’t disrupt the rest of the grow.
The smell definitely makes up for it, though: when the tent opens, everything smells super delicious, like creamy passion fruit! A truly amazing strain so far, but it definitely brings a serious appetite.

Simply WOW!
The smell of this strain is truly mind-blowing. Just a short time after opening the tent, the scent takes over almost the entire apartment.
As you can see, my slight increase in nutrients caused a little tip burn on the leaves. That's not a big deal, though, because now I know for sure that the plants are pushed to their absolute limits. From now on, I will just water with a bit more runoff until the EC levels normalize again.
Furthermore, the plants are busily shedding their lower shade leaves. This is a very positive development, as the plant stops wasting valuable energy on leaves that barely get any light anyway, redirecting it straight into the growth of the top buds. At the same time, this improves the airflow inside the tent.
Since we are currently experiencing an extreme heatwave, the terpene profile will unfortunately suffer a bit. But considering it is 35–38 degrees outside, the temperatures inside the tent are remaining completely manageable, averaging 28–29 degrees and only very rarely hitting 30!

At the beginning of the week, we water FlashClean to get the soil clean and then give it one last push with FinalPart! The buds are really huge and extremely frosty; the smell and appearance speak for themselves!
Unfortunately, by the middle of the week, a few branches on the bottom left plant broke under the enormous weight... I will do a partial harvest of these buds to avoid mold or anything similar.
Around the middle to end of the week, the back-left plant was harvested since it was definitely ready based on the trichomes. I plan to post all the harvest pictures together, so I’ll share those images during the overall harvest week instead.

The first plant has been completely harvested!
The buds are really big, dense, and resinous... The aroma at the harvest of this phenotype reminds me of a flower meadow with a hint of creamy passion fruit. I can't wait to try it!
The other plants are still getting Final Part, and the rest is expected to be harvested next week.
A huge thank you to the SSSC for this awesome photo contest and the opportunity to test such fascinating genetics! The grow went absolutely smoothly from start to finish. In terms of growth and nutrient consumption, all the plants were super uniform, but during the flowering phase, they showed their true, unique characteristics:
The Purple Pheno:
Beautiful purple accents in the buds! They were visually a bit smaller, but they were so extremely dense and compact that they easily held their own on the scale against the others.
The Monster (Front right):
Simply unbelievable! The main buds literally had the dimensions of a 0.5-liter water bottle (if not thicker!) Everything was completely buried under a massive layer of resin.
Also, in terms of smell, this strain is an absolute experience and truly lives up to the name Tropical Ice Cream!
2 phenos go in a beautifully floral-creamy direction.
1 pheno smells extremely tropical and intensely sweet.
1 pheno rounds it all off with a creamy-sweet vibe.
My conclusion: It was a fantastic journey, and this strain will definitely be grown again! The final pictures speak for themselves.

@BudsPerMinute, grrr whatever, anything that smells fruity is perfect, the Orange Bud 2.0 from Dutch Passion has been the best smelling one I've grown so far. It was the first one I ran to in the tent.
@BudsPerMinute, I'm now using Microlife and Profimix from Bionova indoors, it's vegan Living Soil in Autopots. I have even less work with it and the taste is really good.
@Prof_Weed, hmm that's definitely interesting, especially in combination with Autopots 🤔
Once all the leftovers are coming to an end, I need to generally see where the journey goes, there's just too much selection 😂
Have a lot of fun and success with the run! Don't wait too long, or you'll get into the hot summer (if you're growing indoors). I'm already about 1.5 to 2 months late too..
@Growingdaddyo, you're right about that 😂
I'm going to "harvest" 4-5 buds today since they've bent over from all the weight... But it won't be that bad since they only have 1-2 weeks max until "harvest" anyway. 🤔
Good call flushing with FlashClean and switching to bloom nutes before lollipopping. That 10 cm internode spacing is worth watching. Looking forward to Day 21 pics!
