Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Week 1 after Germination The two Mentha de Croco Fern Type from Terpyz are now one week old and about 5 cm tall. Overall development is progressing well. Compared to regular cannabis plants, these mutant phenotypes are growing a bit slower, which is perfectly fine at this stage. Itโ€™s already interesting to see some variation: - One plant clearly shows more of the fern-type structure. - The other might lean more towards a webbed-type expression. Both plants look healthy and stable so far. Iโ€™m excited to see how their structure develops over the coming weeks. The plan is to move them outdoors around mid-May once conditions are suitable. Looking forward to the progress!

Tower84 Pretty chill week overall ๐Ÿ‘Œ Both Mentha de Croco Fern Type girls got transplanted into 2L pots and I dusted the rootballs with a bit of Great White โ€“ curious to see how that boosts root development ๐Ÿ’ช Also bumped the Sanlight from level 2 to level 3, now running around 420 PPFD / 26 DLI. They seem to like it so far, no signs of stress at all. In the background thereโ€™s a same-age Special Kush from RQS โ€“ you can clearly see the mutants are a bit slower ๐Ÿ˜„ but everything looks healthy and stable, so no worries. Next watering Iโ€™ll start feeding with the Biobizz schedule. Letโ€™s see how they respond. Already hyped to move the ladies into their final 30L pots around mid May for the outdoor season. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Grow Report โ€“ Week 3 (Mentha de Croco) The two Mentha de Croco plants from Terpyz continue to develop steadily in week 3. Growth is consistent, with strong leaf development and a healthy deep green color. This week, they received their first feeding with 2 ml/L Bio-Grow from Biobizz. The plants responded very well, showing no signs of nutrient burn or stress. Growth appears slightly more vigorous since feeding. A key transition starts today: hardening off outdoors. The plants are gradually exposed to natural elements such as sunlight, wind, and temperature fluctuations. This step is crucial to prepare them for outdoor conditions and reduce transplant shock later. The final move outdoors is planned for mid-May, when they will be transplanted into 30-liter fabric pots filled with organic hemp soil from Sonnenerde. This soil provides an excellent foundation for a living soil ecosystem and long-term nutrient availability. Conclusion Week 3: Healthy and vigorous plants with a solid start to nutrient feeding. Hardening off marks an important transition toward the outdoor season.

Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Week 5 โ€“ Mentha de Croco (Terpyz) ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ฅ The two Mentha de Croco plants are still going strong in week 5 ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฟ Nice bushy growth, compact structure, and overall very vigorous. Leaves are deep green and dense โ€“ no signs of deficiencies or stress ๐Ÿ‘Œโœจ Currently running a โ€œhybrid modeโ€: outside during the day for sunlight โ˜€๏ธ and back inside at night ๐ŸŒ™ This routine works great so far, and the plants clearly benefit from natural light and fresh air. However, the pots are starting to feel small ? โ€“ roots are ready for more space! In about two weeks, theyโ€™ll move into 30L outdoor pots and really take off ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒฑ Conclusion: Excellent condition, strong growth, and ready for the next big step ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Week 8 โ€“ Mentha de Croco (Terpyz) ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ”ฅ This week marked a big milestone for the two Mentha de Croco plants ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿš€ Since Tuesday, both have been transplanted into their final 30L outdoor pots filled with Bio Hanferde by Sonnenerde and a little bit of Great White from Plant Success ๐ŸŒ Both pots were also mulched with Sonnenerde Biofaser to help retain moisture and support microbial life ๐Ÿ‚๐Ÿ”ฌ โ€“ perfect living soil conditions. The plants handled the transplant without any issues and continue to look fantastic ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’š At 66 cm and 58 cm tall, both plants are growing vigorously and appear very robust. The foliage remains deep green and overall vitality is excellent โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ Today, on Saturday, they received their first homemade compost tea โœจ The tea was brewed for 24 hours using two handfuls of worm castings and about one tablespoon of kelp in a bucket of water, continuously aerated with an air pump and air stone ๐ŸŒŠ It was applied undiluted to help boost soil biology after transplanting ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒฟ So far, everything is going exactly according to plan and the plants seem very happy in their new setup ๐Ÿ™Œ

Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Week 9 โ€“ Mentha de Croco (Terpyz) ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿš€ What a week! Since moving into their 30L final pots, the two Mentha de Croco plants have absolutely exploded with growth ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐ŸŒฑ Now standing at 90 cm and 88 cm tall, both plants have made an impressive leap in height over a very short period of time. The Bio Hanferde from Sonnenerde seems to be a perfect match, as their development could hardly be better right now ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฟ The plants are displaying a rich, healthy green color ๐Ÿ’š and continue to produce their unique fern-like leaves, one of the most fascinating traits of this strain ๐ŸŒฟโœจ. They definitely stand out from the crowd and attract attention every time. Apart from that, everything looks excellent: strong stems, vigorous growth, and no signs of issues whatsoever. The ladies are clearly enjoying their new root space and are making full use of it ๐Ÿš€โ˜€๏ธ If they keep growing at this pace, these two Mentha de Croco plants might end up looking more like small trees than regular garden plants this season. Every other day 3 Liter Water each plant.

Tower84 ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Week 10 โ€“ Mentha de Croco (Terpyz) ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒณ The two Mentha de Croco plants continue their impressive progress and have now clearly passed the one-meter mark ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฅ. Standing at 104 cm and 107 cm, both plants are thriving and showing remarkable vigor. One of the most fascinating aspects is their leaf morphology. The distinctive fern-like leaves are becoming more pronounced every week, giving the plants a truly unique appearance ๐ŸŒฟโœจ. They stand out beautifully and look very different from traditional cannabis varieties. Weather conditions were not ideal this past week. But heavy rainfall โ˜” meant there was no need for additional watering, allowing the plants to benefit entirely from natural rainwater. Their foliage remains deep green and overall vitality is excellent ๐Ÿ’š. Last week, the plants received an application of a homemade fermented plant extract diluted at 10 ml per liter of water ๐ŸŒฑ. The ferment was made from horsetail and fresh nettles, enriched with raw sugar, molasses, honey, EM-1, and homemade LAB cultures. After a 10-day fermentation period, it was filtered and stored in the refrigerator. The goal is to naturally support plant health and soil biology ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ”ฌ. Today, a fresh batch of compost tea is being brewed to further stimulate microbial activity and keep the living soil ecosystem thriving. Overall, both plants are performing exceptionally well. If they continue at this pace, they will truly earn their title as โ€œsmall treesโ€ by the end of the season ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ˜„

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Weekly Comment Both plants continued to grow very evenly over the past week and are now at approximately 112 cm ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“. Despite the rather cool and rainy weather conditions, both plants appear healthy and stable overall ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฟ. Growth was slightly slowed under these conditions, but no signs of stress are visible. Todayโ€™s strong wind ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ makes the bamboo stakes especially important, as the plants have reached a significant height and biomass. Structural support is currently essential to prevent any damage to the main shoot. Once the soil has dried sufficiently after the prolonged rainfall โ˜”โžก๏ธ๐ŸŒค๏ธ, the next irrigation will include a nettle and horsetail ferment at a dosage of 10 ml/L ๐ŸŒฟ. This is intended to further strengthen the overall resilience of the plants. With temperatures now rising again ๐ŸŒก๏ธ, a noticeably more vigorous growth phase is expected over the coming week ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒฑ.

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 12 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Both Mentha de Croco plants experienced an impressive growth spurt over the past week, stretching from 112 cm to a remarkable 131 cm ๐Ÿš€. With summer temperatures well above 30ยฐC โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒก๏ธ, their water demand has increased significantly, and each plant is currently drinking around 4.5 liters per day ๐Ÿ’ง. Interestingly, both plants display completely different growth patterns. One is developing into a tall, column-like structure, while the other resembles a classic Christmas tree shape ๐ŸŒฒ. Despite their different architectures, both plants look exceptionally healthy and vigorous ๐Ÿ’šโœจ. To support soil life and overall plant health, they receive either a compost tea ?๐Ÿต or a nettle and horsetail ferment ๐ŸŒฟ once a week, alternating between the two. With the current conditions, the coming weeks should be very exciting! โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 13 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช What a week! ๐Ÿš€ Both plants have now reached approximately 155 cm, gaining an impressive 24 cm in just one week ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒฑ. The ongoing heatwave, with daytime temperatures reaching 39ยฐC, has significantly increased their water demand โ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒก๏ธ. Each plant is currently consuming around 5 liters of water per day ๐Ÿ’ง. Besides the daily watering, they received one feeding this week with a nettle and horsetail ferment at a concentration of 10 ml/L ๐ŸŒฟ. Despite the extreme conditions, both plants remain exceptionally healthy and vigorous ๐Ÿ’š. If this growth rate continues, they are on track to break the 2-meter mark in about two weeks! ๐Ÿ“ˆ In the end, however, the 30-liter pot size will likely determine their final height. Until then, itโ€™s all about watering, observing, and enjoying this explosive growth! ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒฟ

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 14 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Both plants continue to look absolutely top healthy ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฑ. However, this week didn't go entirely without incident. While I was away for five days, a storm rolled in on the very first day ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ. The left plant slipped off the rolling platform and unfortunately lay on its side for about two days until my parents could set it back up. Fortunately, no branch or stem broke ๐Ÿ™๐ŸŒฟ. The incident probably slowed its growth a bit, which is why the left plant is currently about 160 cm tall, around 5 cm shorter than the right one at about 165 cm ๐Ÿ“. I've since removed the rolling platforms so the plants hopefully won't tip over again. In situations like this, a bit more pot volume would definitely have been advantageous โš–๏ธ. Today, they also received the Almicanna Veg Compost Tea for the first time, which I brewed for 24 hours ๐Ÿต. Other than that, the care mainly consists of daily watering. Depending on the temperature, the plants are currently drinking between 4.5 and 5 liters of water per day ๐Ÿ’ง. Thankfully, this week was a bit cooler than the last, making conditions much more pleasant for both the plants and the gardener. ๐ŸŒค๏ธ

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 17 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Another milestone has been reached! ๐Ÿš€ The left Mentha de Croco is now around 190 cm tall, while the right one has officially broken the 2-meter mark, reaching approximately 202 cm! ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŽ‰ Whatโ€™s especially interesting is how their growth pattern has changed. Instead of the tall, column-like โ€œskyscraperโ€ appearance they had earlier, both plants are now developing a beautiful Christmas tree structure ๐ŸŒฒ. The left plant in particular has formed an incredibly symmetrical branching pattern and looks absolutely stunning. ๐Ÿ’š At the moment, each plant receives around 5 liters of water every day ๐Ÿ’ง. The relatively small 30-liter pots are now clearly becoming the limiting factor for further vertical growth, but despite that, both plants continue to thrive. Today theyโ€™ll receive another feeding with my homemade nettle and horsetail ferment at a concentration of 10 ml per liter of water ๐ŸŒฟ. Apart from that, everything is going perfectlyโ€”no nutrient deficiencies, no pests, and no diseases. Exactly what you hope for in an outdoor grow! ๐Ÿ’ชโ˜€๏ธ Iโ€™m truly impressed by the resilience and beauty of this genetics. These plants have handled every challenge so far and continue to reward me with outstanding growth week after week. โค๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 18 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง Both Mentha de Croco plants continue to perform exceptionally well ๐Ÿ’š! The left plant has now reached 194 cm, while the right one stands at an impressive 209 cm, comfortably exceeding the 2-meter mark ๐Ÿ“๐ŸŒฑ This week brought several days of strong wind and heavy gusts ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ, so I secured both plants to the permanently installed rain gutter using natural bast twine. Each plant is now tied at three different points, giving them much better stability against future storms ๐Ÿ’ช. Unfortunately, the storm wasnโ€™t completely harmless. A few branches snapped in the strong winds, so the plants have lost a little of their perfect appearance. Even so, both remain healthy, vigorous, and full of life with no signs of pests or disease ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒฟ. Today they will receive my homemade banana ferment ๐ŸŒ for the first time to help prepare them for the upcoming flowering phase. I expect flowering to really begin around mid-August, and Iโ€™m excited to see how much stretch theyโ€™ll still produce. The biggest question now is whether the relatively small 30-liter pots will limit the flowering stretch significantly. To be honest, Iโ€™m already more than happy with their size ๐Ÿ˜„. The right plant is now so tall that I almost need a ladder just to take a proper photo ?๐Ÿ“ธ

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 19 โ€“ Mentha de Croco ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช The 2-meter mark has now been broken by both plants! ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒฑ The left Mentha de Croco has finally reached 2 m, while the right plant has pushed even further and now stands at an incredible 2.15 m ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ”ฅ. Considering they are growing in just 30 liters of Sonnenerde cannabis soil, this is seriously impressive. This week, however, I noticed a few yellowing leaves in the lower sections ๐Ÿ‚. I suspect the limited nutrient reserves in the relatively small pots are finally starting to show, resulting in a mild nitrogen deficiency. With this enormous amount of plant biomass after so many weeks of growth, it isnโ€™t entirely surprising. To make sure the plants have enough nutrition for the upcoming flowering phase, I started my first Almicanna Flower Compost Tea yesterday ๐Ÿต. It will be brewed for 48 hours. Iโ€™m also giving them an Almicanna flowering top dress and malted Barley today, so the plants hopefully wonโ€™t run out of nutrients too early during flowering ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒฟ. The additional nutrients should be released gradually over the coming weeks, providing a steady supply as the plantsโ€™ enormous biomass continues to demand more and more nutrition. ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฑ For now, however, there are still no real signs of flowering. Both plants are continuing to focus mainly on vegetative growth and are still getting bigger. Iโ€™m very curious to see when these two skyscrapers finally switch into full flowering mode. ๐Ÿ™๏ธ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿš€

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 20 โ€“ Mentha de Croco by Terpyz ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Itโ€™s finally happening ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿ”ฅ! Both Mentha de Croco plants have now started flowering, and Iโ€™m incredibly excited for the weeks ahead ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฑ! The left plant is now around 2.07 m, while the right one has reached approximately 2.20 m ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿš€. The former โ€œskyscrapersโ€ are now hopefully going to turn into huge flowering plants ๐ŸŒฒ๐ŸŒธ. I removed a few yellowing leaves from the lower sections ๐Ÿ‚. I was unfortunately about one week late with the top dress, so the plants showed some mild nitrogen deficiency in the meantime. With this enormous amount of plant biomass, however, a few yellow leaves really arenโ€™t a big deal ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ’š. Last Saturday I lightly worked Almicanna Kickflip into the upper soil layer ๐ŸŒฟ. The following day, I gave them Almicanna Flower Compost Tea, which had been brewed for 48 hours ๐Ÿต. Since the nutrients from the top dress are released gradually, the additional nutrition wasnโ€™t immediately available to the plants. Iโ€™m keeping the removed leaves in a bucket to dry ๐Ÿ‚ and will use them as mulch for the plants later in the season โ™ป๏ธ๐ŸŒฑ. Now I have a difficult decision to make ๐Ÿค”: Do I let the plants run naturally and enjoy watching them build huge buds, or should I remove a significant number of flowers right at the beginning ๐ŸŒธโœ‚๏ธ? The breeder lists a flowering time of 11โ€“12 weeks, which would put harvest somewhere around late October to early November. With a typical German autumn ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒง๏ธ, we have to be realistic: enormous, dense buds would carry a very high risk of mold this late in the season. So unfortunately, I probably wonโ€™t be able to let nature completely take its course. Iโ€™ll most likely have to thin the plants out quite heavily as flowering progresses. Better to sacrifice some bud size than lose everything to mold ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿƒโœ‚๏ธ. What Iโ€™m looking forward to the most, though, is the autumn show ๐Ÿ‚โค๏ธ. The fern-like leaves of this genetics are absolutely beautiful, and if they develop some spectacular autumn colors, I think these plants will become a real feast for the eyes ๐Ÿ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ˜. I canโ€™t wait to see what the next 11โ€“12 weeks bring ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒธ!

Tower84 ๐ŸŒฟ Week 21 โ€“ Mentha de Croco by Terpyz ๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช The two Mentha de Croco plants are becoming more impressive every week ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฟ. The right plant has now reached approximately 2.25 m, while the left one is around 2.10 m tall ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿš€. The big flowering stretch has not really happened so far, and due to the limited 30-liter pot volume, I donโ€™t expect much additional vertical growth. Instead, the plants have expanded much more outwards than upwards ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒฒ. They have already turned into real bushes, with an incredible amount of biomass ๐Ÿ’š. The first signs of bud development are now becoming visible ๐ŸŒธ. The flowers are starting to build, and the characteristic aroma is slowly becoming noticeable ๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐ŸŒฟ. For now, however, the smell is still very moderate and nowhere near as intense as I expect it to become later in flowering ๐Ÿ˜Š. The weather has cooled down significantly this week ๐ŸŒค๏ธ, with several periods of rain ๐ŸŒง๏ธ. After the heat of the past few weeks, this cooler weather is a blessing for us, but the plants definitely enjoyed all the sunshine they got over the last few weeks. Now the German autumn is slowly beginning โ€” with cooler and rainy periods aheadโ€ฆ ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ‚ Today, each plant will receive 5 liters of Almicanna Flower Compost Tea ๐Ÿต. The tea was brewed for 48 hours with continuous aeration, giving the soil biology another boost ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’š. Now Iโ€™m very curious to see how the flowers develop over the coming weeks ๐ŸŒธ๐Ÿš€. The plants have already built an impressive amount of size and biomass, and Iโ€™m really looking forward to watching them transition further into full flowering ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฟ.

๐ŸŒฟ. ๐ŸŒฟ Week 22 โ€“ Mentha de Croco by Terpyz ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง The two Mentha de Croco plants continue to develop beautifully ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒฟ. The left plant is now approximately 2.14 m, while the right one has reached around 2.30 m ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿš€. The stretch of the main branches has been relatively limited over the past three weeks, but the side branches have really taken off vertically ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ“ˆ. This is especially noticeable on the right plant, which has developed some long side branches and has become much bushier ๐ŸŒฒ. The left plant is clearly further ahead in flower development, while the right pheno has focused much more on developing its massive side branches so far ๐ŸŒธ. This week brought typical early German autumn weather ๐Ÿ‚๐ŸŒง๏ธ. Temperatures were cooler, there was plenty of rain, and we also had some strong wind gusts on certain days ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ. Without the plants being secured to the rain gutter, these two giants would almost certainly have tipped over again ๐Ÿ’จ. At over two meters tall, the combination of wind and their heavy, upright structure is definitely something to take seriously ๐Ÿ˜…๐ŸŒฟ. The soil biology in these relatively small 30-liter pots is looking fantastic ๐ŸŒฑ. Whenever I lift the mulch, I can see plenty of worms and all kinds of tiny soil organisms underneath โ€“ exactly what I want to see in my Living Soil ๐Ÿ’š. Two days ago, I added another Almicanna Kickflip top dress. The ladies are getting pretty hungry now, which isnโ€™t particularly surprising considering the enormous amount of biomass theyโ€™re supporting in such limited pot volume ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿƒ. Without regular feeding with compost tea, ferments and top dress, I believe these plants would have ended up significantly smaller ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒฑ. With the flowers now starting to gain more mass, Iโ€™ll have to do some selective thinning next week to improve airflow and reduce the risk of mold as autumn progresses โœ‚๏ธ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ. With plants this large, Iโ€™d rather take some preventative action before the wet autumn weather really sets in ๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿ‚. Iโ€™m incredibly curious to see how these two phenotypes will continue to diverge over the coming weeks ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŒธ.

@Tower84, I haven't forgotten. I'll do it as soon as the whole harvest is dry and has gone through at least 4 weeks of curing to evaluate the frost monsters that are currently drying in the Vcure. I'll take care of everything during my grow break. My sponsor BioTabs is asking for an interview like others have done. So I'll stick around here on Growdiaries even if I won't have a grow for 1 - 2 months. ๐Ÿ˜‰
