FBT7 is a unreleased test strain from FastBuds Genetics. As with all tester's, lineage is undisclosed, as are life cycle times, flavors, effects, etc.. The setup for this run is below:
Tent - 4x4 Vivosun
Lighting - 2 x Viparspectra PAR450 (200W) actual each
Ventilation - 6 in Vivosun 440CFM Inline with carbon filter
Medium - Promix HP with extra 20% perlite
Container - 3 Gallon Vivosun Grow Bags
Nutrients - Canna, GH, Terpinator, Botanicare, Bio Tabs and Advanced
6/1 - Placed seeds is moistened Root Riot starter plugs.
6/5 - Day 1, sprouts are above surface and look good. This being a 2 plant run, I numbered them 1 and 2 today, and transplanted them into their final containers. I sprinkled 1 tsp of Mycotrex into the planting hole for each rooted plug. They were watered in with Canna Start + Hydroguard with pH set to 6. Lights are set at 50% blue/white spectrum and are currently 46 in above the media surface.
6/7 - Day 3, gave both seedlings some water + Rhizotonic with pH set to 6. The first set of leaves on both is starting to enlarge.
6/9 - Day 5, gave both water + Rhizotonic with pH set to 6. I'm using a pump sprayer to keep the media moist around the seedling, and keep humidity up in the 60's. Leaves are enlarging each day, and we should start seeing the second node appear next week. Lights were bumped to 75% blue/white today also to reduce stretch on the seedlings.
6/11 - Day 7, 2nd leaf set is starting to appear, and girls look happy and green. Will begin introducing Terra Vega next week.
6/12 - Day 8, #1 is showing some signs of stress on her first leaf set, and #2 is completely healthy. It will recover, and hopefully not stunt. Both are on their 2nd leaf set and enlarging each day.
6/13 - Day 9, added a support stake to #1 since she will not be topped. She's looking hungry according to her leaves. Also placed a small box under each plant to get them closer to the recommended height for the lights which is 36" during veg according to the manufacturer. I gave each plant a light feeding using 6.5 ml/gal of Terra Vega, 15 ml/gal of Rhizotonic and 2 ml/gal of Hydroguard coming out to 331 ppm and pH was set at 5.9.
6/15 - Day 11, gave both another light feeding with the seedling solution. They are growing well though #1 is a bit behind due to her rough start.
6/17 - Day 13, gave both some water + Hydroguard pH set to 6.
6/19 - Day 15, switched to Emerald Harvest line, and will be following their feedchart for first run and adjust as needed from there. Gave both girls a feed following Early Veg on the feedchart, the pH was spot on at 5.9 after mixing, and came out to 677 ppm with my tap.
6/23 - Day 19, topped #2 at the 4th node. Both girls are showing a growth spurt this week, and loving the new nutrients.
6/26 - Day 22, gave both girls water + Sturdy Stalk, Cal-Mag, & Hydroguard with pH set to 6. They are doing well entering Week 4, and should really start exploding soon.
7/2 - Day 28, gave #2 a feed from the Late Veg schedule. Her secondaries are starting to come up now. I defoliated the main fans from nodes 1,2, and 4, and LST'd the secondaries to expose more lower bud sites, and open the plant up. Her 4th node fans were the size of teacup saucers, and were blocking too much light, to the point there was some algae growth on the surface of the media. I also adjusted the lights down to 25".
7/11 - Day 37, gave #2 a watering with Sturdy Stalk and CalMag added and pH set to 5.9. Final runoff was 688 ppm for #2. They will be getting their first bloom feed later this week. I adjusted and added a LST points to keep the canopy flat, and she looks like she is going to have a good number of colas.
7/15 - Day 41, gave both ladies a feed from early flower on the EH feedchart, with pH set to 5.8.
7/18 - Day 44, gave both ladies water + Sturdy Stalk, CalMag, & Hydroguard with pH set to 5.8. Final runoff for both was around 886-904 ppm. I defoliated where needed and adjusted LST points during watering. #1 is really putting out the trichomes early.
7/21 - Day 47, gave both girls another early bloom feed. Both are progressing very nicely!
7/24 - Day 50, gave both girls water + CalMag with pH set to 6.2. Final runoff was 840-860 ppm between the two of them. These girls are not messing around when it comes to trichome production. They are heavily dusted already.
7/27 - Day 53, fed both girls with midflower nutes according to EH Feedchart. Final runoff was 1080-1090 ppm.
7/30 - Day 56, gave both girls water + Calmag with pH set to 5.9. Final runoff was 870-890 ppm and pH was 6. They both reek of creamy, fuely smells. Very strong aroma!!!
8/15 - Day 72, both girls are flushed out, with ppm's coming in under 110 and fading slow. They have both been perfect plants. No issues during the grow from these 2, regardless of what stress they were under, or training applied. Trichome production started early, and as you can see, has been fantastic.
8/21 - Day 78, #1 was chopped on Saturday morning and is hanging to dry. #2 is SLOWLY fading some of the green away. Stacked hard during flower!! Resin production is off the rails.
Woooooohhheeeeee...this is sticky!!!! Gelato might be my new favorite from FastBuds. She creeps up on you, and before you know it, you/re very heavy. Like when they put the lead apron on you during an X-Ray heavy. But you still can go about your day, just know if you overindulge, you will be taking an involuntary nap later. She also tends to put the squeeze on the head, and focusing your vision can become quite trying on heavy doses. She has a creamy, smell in the jar, but grind a bud up. GAS..LOUD LOUD GAS..
Gelato is a cinch to grow and will take any form of training you desire to get the shape you want, while sprouting lots of secondary branches to fill in the canopy. She stacks hard during flower and really lays the frost on throughout.
