Borberad Cherry Dream Grow-Journal Our trip to the patisserie with the Cherry Dream from Kannabia Seeds. This photoperiod lady is a massive Indica hybrid (90% Indica / 10% Sativa), bred from a classic Afghan cut and selected Cherry genetics. Sounds like a dessert that gently rocks you to sleep after the first bite. The Cherry Dream is geared for speed: With about 60–65 days of flowering time indoors, she belongs to the faster athletes on the tartan track. The cannabinoid analysis promises around 19% THC. The effect is thoroughly classic Indica – deeply sedating, muscle-relaxing, and absolutely calming. If the Caribbean Mango is the after-work cocktail, the Cherry Dream is the warm pillow afterward. As for the scent: The terpene biosynthesis of this plant is fascinating. Breeders and growers report an intense aroma of ripe, sweet cherries, carried by floral notes and a heavy, earthy hashish base. Black Forest cherry cake meets Living Soil. Regarding growth: Morphologically, she grows typically Afghan – stocky, bushy, with extremely dense and resinous flower clusters that develop beautiful violet to deep red anthocyanins (color pigments) towards the end of the flowering phase – especially during a climate-induced temperature drop. Yield-wise, we are also looking at a formidable 450–500 g/m². 👉 Conclusion for the diary: The Cherry Dream is the perfect counterpart in the tent: Botanically absolutely homogeneous in growth to our Mango, but aromatically and visually a completely different cosmos. A resin monster that will deliver a grand color display in late bloom. Now it’s time to calibrate humidity, prepare plugs – and give the starting signal for this fruity Indica dream. Week 1: Germination week 0.1 The germination of the Cherry Dream has begun. Day 0.1: The familiar start protocol: 10 hours in a 1% H₂O₂ bath to soften the seed coat, then direct transfer to the Eazy Plug. Day 0.2: The patience phase. Inside the capsule, cell division begins, while externally there is absolute silence. Day 0.3: A crack in the shell! The white root tip (radicula) is visible and immediately burrows towards the center of the earth (geotropism). We gently raise the DLI from 12 to 16. Day 0.4: The plant has properly lifted itself from the plug and has already shed the seed coat in the substrate. As the roots grow quickly, it went straight into the 400ml pot with the Borberad 1:1:1:1 mix along with the Eazy Plug. Day 0.5: The seed leaves unfold like little solar panels. To ease the transition for the plant, we open the slots of the dome (RLF about 80%) and set the DLI to 20. Day 0.6: The Cherry Dream shows excellent growth vigor. The first tiny, serrated true leaves are forming exactly in the middle of the seed leaves. Day 0.7: Out of the comfort zone! The light dome has been removed. The humidity is now dropping to 60–65%. The plant must now actively draw water from the soil through the newly formed root system. Fertilization & measurements: No fertilizer or water needed.
