I was sick and wasn't able to change the lighting situation... the cheese has been receiving a bit too much light. That's ok, it will handle it. The sugar leaves are dark green, a little chlorosis on the fan leaves due to the light intensity and drought. I let this plant get dry to the point where the leaves wilt before watering. I have read that drought stress increases secondary metabolites in many plants. this is why many people propose that letting the weed plant dry out may increase its terpene content. To be honest I'm also just lazy with watering and saying this to justify it. :)
The pics are not very exciting. It's just growing and stuff.. the tops remind me of some of those haze plants. I think many of these tops will fall over and I will be too lazy to bring a good solution. Thankfully, nature finds a way where I don't, lol. Anyway, the plant is an interesting one. Its canopy is about 100x60cm. With good lighting it looks like there is potential for an insane yield. The THC production is either slow and yet to come, or not very high. Perhaps the trichomes have short stalks which makes me misjudge the thc content. The smell is really great, I think it will be a very nice and dank smoke. Happy growing everybody
@DankGardener, thx! You are right. I went to 11/13 a week ago (probably forgot to edit the diary) but I will set it to 10/14!
I think increasing the dark time is probably a better cue to get plants to finish than simply dimming. cloudy days are random but the length of nights never is.
@amazongrow, Haha, it was really close to the plant! I had to angle the light because the tops were growing up between the strips and against them
With strips, you can get really close to the plants if you run them at a bit lower power.
I think this plant would have finished sooner (but less yield) if I gave it less light Seems like, if some plants gets too much light, it just keeps on making buds and foxtails forever and ever. I had it with SSH too
Awesome! I enjoy going through veg grows to look back on. But i agree, flowering is even better to enjoy with our eyeballs. Haopy growing, cant wait for the end result!!!
@indacouch, I got so tired of taking pictures of stems and leaves, haha! This way, I can focus on taking fewer but better pictures. That said it's fun to see the daily growth of seedlings. Good luck with your grow too =)
Looks great from here Bill. Might hammer the trichs on in the last few weeks like a few i have grown over time. using every inch of space for bud is a skill mate. well done
