Week 11/Flower Week 4
1 Gallon of water with nutes Sun., Tues., & Thurs with a pretty heavy defoliation on Tues.
During the week I bought some 48" bamboo shoots to use a stakes and on Sat., added 1 each to the Cheese and the Kush. Because of how tall they are, they're getting hit a little too hard by the fans, but I can't raise the fans any higher before they become ineffective.
Also on Sat., I decided it was time for a flush. 1 & 1/3 gallons of water without nutes each. They were bone dry when I watered. I gave them a gallon each at first and then came around with the additional third. There was no runoff until after that additional third, but then there was plenty.
I took the girls out of the tent for a little while today (before watering) because I needed to try and add the 1ft extension poles to the tent. When I initially put the tent together I didn't think there was enough clearance, but the Critical Kush has gotten so big I had to at least try. With a little help from my wife I was able to add them in with a moderate amount of difficulty while not having to take out the fans, filer and ducting. So now with the light as high as it can go I now have 20" between the light and the main bud of the Kush.
Let's get to the numbers. I think the pictures speak for themselves. 😁
Triple Cheese 39.5" (+ 2.75")
White Widow 36" (+ 3")
Critical Kush 43.75 (+ 5.25")
So it looks like "the stretch" is slowing down...but the Kush. My Word! She's a Beast. I was literally saying that to her...several times this week in fact. She's been practically growing herself. She's needed the least amount of training. She's just been a monster since we got around that little trouble early on with my over-water/nutes nube mistakes
Hi @@Pseudo, Thanks for checking out my diary. No, the plan I was following from YouTube channel GrowPotCheaply had me using Bloom for the first (roughly) 3 weeks. I actually got the length of use wrong (along with a lot of other things) during my first grow. I should have only been using Bloom for the first 10 days during the seedling stage. The author of the plan states that the nutrients found in the Bloom formula do a better job of promoting root growth in the early stage of growth.
If you read through the rest of this diary and my next you'll see all the lovely mistakes I made. hahaha
Peu d'évolution sur les 4 premier semaine de Flo, tu a récolter trop tôt elle on prit du retard pour je ne sais quel raison mais c'est domage trop peu de rendement, les tête ont l'air très légère et aéré
@@Pseudo, yea I had a lot of environment issues during my first grow. If I am remembering correctly, I believe the week you are referencing I had to run out twice that particular week. Once to buy a portable air conditioner and again to buy a dehumidifier. It was a rough ride through the first grow but I managed not to kill them...which was just about my only goal (besides a little bud to smoke).
Now the 2nd grow which I just finished not too long ago...that was seriously disappointing. I had much higher hopes...but I am in week 3 now of Grow 3 (will start posting that diary soon) and I do believe that I have figured out what my biggest issue was...and I had absolutely no clue!
Stay tuned for diary 3 for the answer.
@BIGBUDZ450, I think I might have been a little over zealous this first grow and it may have hurt my bud size. With the current grow I'm trying a little more "less is more", or at the very least trying not to do too much. I'm still learning, or trying to learn. I've seen videos of plants in so many different states that it's hard to judge what's the right amount. I did do a big defol almost 2 weeks ago. My current diary is about to be 2 weeks behind. I've been stupid busy and update it when I can. I'm going to try and get it up to date this weekend.
@Puffer_Bill, Thanks for the comments & props Bill. 👊 I'm still back-filling the diary and I don't want to give away too much 😜 but I will say that the girls are doing OK. I haven't killed them yet. haha
