Week 12/Flower Week 5
Mon., 7/15 I added 3 ml of Potash to the usual 1 gallon of water with nutrients that the ladies get fed. This was also the fist feed after the flush on Sat. so my thinking is that they'll drink it all down nice and get those buds swelling
Wed., 7/17 the was back to normal nutes without Potash and a nice defoliation, which because if the limited time I have with them when I get home from work, continued into Thursday. Friday was just a feeding day.
I didn't take height measurements because it's getting difficult to get the tape measure through without hitting branches or buds. I'm thinking at this point it probably more helpful to measure the main cola and keep track of that.
I also didn't have time to take pics from earlier in the week, but if you look at last weeks pics and compare them to this weeks you can see the buds are really starting to swell and I noticed a couple of hairs changing color. 😁😁😁
Hi @@Pseudo, Thanks for checking out my diary. No, the plan I was following from YouTube channel GrowPotCheaply had me using Bloom for the first (roughly) 3 weeks. I actually got the length of use wrong (along with a lot of other things) during my first grow. I should have only been using Bloom for the first 10 days during the seedling stage. The author of the plan states that the nutrients found in the Bloom formula do a better job of promoting root growth in the early stage of growth.
If you read through the rest of this diary and my next you'll see all the lovely mistakes I made. hahaha

@@Pseudo, yea I had a lot of environment issues during my first grow. If I am remembering correctly, I believe the week you are referencing I had to run out twice that particular week. Once to buy a portable air conditioner and again to buy a dehumidifier. It was a rough ride through the first grow but I managed not to kill them...which was just about my only goal (besides a little bud to smoke).
Now the 2nd grow which I just finished not too long ago...that was seriously disappointing. I had much higher hopes...but I am in week 3 now of Grow 3 (will start posting that diary soon) and I do believe that I have figured out what my biggest issue was...and I had absolutely no clue!

@BIGBUDZ450, I think I might have been a little over zealous this first grow and it may have hurt my bud size. With the current grow I'm trying a little more "less is more", or at the very least trying not to do too much. I'm still learning, or trying to learn. I've seen videos of plants in so many different states that it's hard to judge what's the right amount. I did do a big defol almost 2 weeks ago. My current diary is about to be 2 weeks behind. I've been stupid busy and update it when I can. I'm going to try and get it up to date this weekend.
@Puffer_Bill, Thanks for the comments & props Bill. 👊 I'm still back-filling the diary and I don't want to give away too much 😜 but I will say that the girls are doing OK. I haven't killed them yet. haha
