Lemon Z Dutch Passion Coco Grow

HomeToGrow Hey, Despite successfully germinating both seeds, only 1 plant ended up growing. The other one seems to have stopped growing after being planted. The Lemon Z looks good and is now forming its 2nd set of leaves, but the growth could be a bit faster. I think this has a lot to do with the weather; right now, it's consistently over 27 °C with a humidity level between 35 and 50%, so it's far from optimal at this early stage. I think growth will pick up in the coming weeks.

HomeToGrow Hey, The 2nd week of flowering is done, and the growth is really picking up now, soon it will be time for the final pot. So far, I'm really liking the Lemon Z, it's growing well and the internode spacing doesn't seem too short or too long, hopefully allowing for good training. The first side branches are also starting to sprout and can be trained soon. You can slightly see a CalMag issue, which is probably due to insufficient buffering when soaking the coconut block. To counteract this, I've now increased the CalMag content, so the problem should be resolved quickly.

HomeToGrow Hello, The remaining Lemon Z is developing just as well as the Tiger Style, but is still about 2 to 3 days behind in its growth. With the Lemon Z, I didn't have to choose between several plants, but I still believe the pheno fits well in the tent, as the internode distances are medium-sized and the side shoots are also growing well. The Lemon Z was transplanted on Tuesday into a 3.5 l pot with Coco/Perlite with a mixture of 85/15 (unfortunately, I ran out of Perlite and due to a vacation, the repotting couldn't wait any longer. 2 days after the vacation and at the end of the 3rd veg week, the Lemon Z was topped and can soon be scrogged to allow for a more even distribution of the shoots. For the top light, the side lighting with the Ionbeam S11 (about 12 W) would also be switched on to illuminate the area more evenly and slightly increase the blue component. I expect a maximum of 2 weeks of veg before it goes into flowering, which hopefully rewards me with good buds.

HomeToGrow Hey, The Lemon Z is growing into a very bushy plant so far and is making a really good impression, even though the growth is a bit slower compared to the other plant, the Lemon is keeping up with the Tiger Style. The internode distances remain medium and the branches give me a very stable impression. Actually, I was expecting about 1 more week of veg, but that should be too much, so I will be starting the flowering phase in a maximum of 2 days. Next week, I’m hopefully getting an LED upgrade, which I’m expecting will give me a bit more power during flowering. The week has been without any issues, and the automatic watering ensures the nutrient supply, with the Lemon Z getting about 800 ml of nutrient solution once a day.

HomeToGrow Hey, Since Wednesday, the Lemon Z has officially entered the flowering stage. Along with that, I made a small light update, as the old 100 W LED seemed to be on the lower end of the performance spectrum. I also made a small change in watering and switched from drippers to Netbows to enable a more even and faster watering (I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing the conversion in a full tent; waiting until the next grow would have saved me a lot of hassle). By now, I'm tying back one or more of the shoots under the SCROG net about every other day, as there's still some space to the side, and otherwise, I might run out of room in the next 1.5 to 2 weeks, depending on how strong the stretch will be. So far, I'm really liking the Lemon Z, and it looks like it's going to be a really good grow.

HomeToGrow Hello, The 2nd flowering week is not quite over yet, and we are on the 11th flowering day. The Lemon Z has now become a nicely even bush with strong branching. In general, the plant has reacted very well to scrogging with its medium internodal distances. Since Friday, the shoots are no longer being bent down and can stretch a bit upwards. Meanwhile, the first few isolated white hairs are visible, and I am looking forward to the coming weeks, but first, next weekend will be a proper defoliation and lollypopping, as the leaf mass has already become enormous, and I also notice this with the humidity, which averages around 62%.
