JackOfAllTrades Hey there and welcome to my indoor grow!
Finally, it's that time again!
Exactly one week ago, the 3 seeds went into Jiffys. 72 hours later, they all germinated pretty much at the same time. The day after, when the root was visible at the bottom, they were planted into their 8.5-liter AutoPots. The substrate consists of 50% BioCanna Terra Plus, 40% Plagron Perlite, and 10% homemade worm humus from a friend. Of course, my dry fertilizer collection can't be missing. Each pot was enriched with the following fertilizers: Neudorff Azet Garden Fertilizer 30 g, Neudorff Terra Petra 30 g, BioTabs Startrex 40 g, BioTabs Silicon Flash 20 g. The ladies were watered with 500 ml of tap water.
Now, let's talk about the genetics. For this run, I chose the Black Lobster from Cipher Genetics. Black Lobster is a cross between Facade (VIP Cut) x Blue Lobster. Main Trees and Cipher Genetics keep the Blue Lobster Cut under wraps, which is why there are no (official) Blue Lobster S1/BX seeds, etc., just crosses with other genetics. The exciting part is that Facade and Blue Lobster both have the same parents: Apples & Bananas x Eye Candy. So, in that sense, Black Lobster is an F2 cross. I hope to get as close as possible to the original Blue Lobster with this cross. With a bit of luck, there’s something promising among the 3 phenos.

JackOfAllTrades Hello and welcome to my indoor grow!
The 3 ladies are doing splendidly. At first, they were a bit leggy, despite the strong light (600 PPFD). In hindsight, this was probably due to the warm temperatures (29+). Now, there is nothing left to see of that.
Today, I topped the 3. I like to top early so that not too much energy is lost with the cut main stem. As a small compensation, they were watered with the bio-enhancer.
Now they can first recover from the stress and continue to grow.

JackOfAllTrades Hey there and welcome to my indoor grow!
Fresh back from vacation, it's time to continue. I'm quite satisfied with the ladies. Unfortunately, a few too many leaves were removed, and 2 branches had to be sacrificed during training, but they'll bounce back from that.
The AutoPot system has been taking great care of them again. This time, the tank water is being treated with Athena CalMg. Athena CalMg has less nitrogen than the one from Canna, which is particularly interesting for flowering. I'm curious to see how the nutrient addition will perform.
So the ladies are ready for flowering :D.

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my indoor grow!
The first week of flowering is done, and the ladies are in the middle of their stretch.
Unfortunately, they didn't tolerate the CalMg from Athena at all. The leaf discoloration got worse and worse. Autopot was paused, and the tank was filled with fresh water and a bit of Canna CalMg. Never change a running system.
On top of that, the ladies were trained into the net, which is already pretty full. Hopefully, the ladies don't stretch too much.

JackOfAllTrades Hey and welcome to my indoor grow!
The ladies are stretching diligently and have taken over the entire tent. I'm currently watering by hand with tap water and BioBizz CalMg. They looked better since I stopped using the Athena CalMg, but since today, the leaf damage has been increasing again. It looks like a CalMg deficiency. However, I can't imagine that, as they've been getting CalMg for a while now, and a decent dose too. I think it might even be an excess, so I'll just give them tap water next time I water. The damage is still manageable, but it shouldn't get worse.
See you next week 🤙🏽

JackOfAllTrades Hello and welcome to my indoor grow!
The stretch is coming to an end. There was significant defoliation on day 21 of flowering. This directs the plant's energy to the main buds that receive light and helps reduce stagnant air in the lower areas, which prevents mold.
There was another 3g/L of Toom Biotomat fertilizer as a top dress, and it was watered with the Greenhouse Enhancer.
The leaf discoloration is not increasing further. I strongly suspect that an overdose of CalMg was the cause. I will reintroduce CalMg in reduced doses to prevent a deficiency during the main flowering phase.
Otherwise, there is nothing to report. Now it's time to wait and observe the buds as they swell.
Have a nice day!

JackOfAllTrades Hey there and welcome to my indoor grow!
The ladies are doing great. A resin buildup is slowly forming and the first scent notes are coming through (more on that soon). Thank goodness the stretch is over. There wasn't much room left. This week I watered manually by hand, starting today the AutoPot system is back on. Now it's time to watch the buds grow :D. That's the most fun!
Until next time. Bye with an Ö.

JackOfAllTrades Hello and welcome to my indoor grow!
The ladies are doing great. I remove a leaf here and there for better light conditions and to prevent moisture spots. The only supplement they receive is Canna CalMg in the tank. So far, they seem to like it.
Next week will bring the smell update 😋.
Wishing you a nice weekend!

Very nice choice of seeds. When Chris announced Black Lobster, I was really hoping to get packs in the EU market. But I think the only opportunity for that was Mary Jane and I missed that. So no Black Lobster for me haha Goooooood luck with this run, I am sure you're killing it
wow die sieht sehr vielversprechend aus. Gute Arbeit.
Black lobster is technically a blue lobster back cross right? Blue lobster is a facade pheno from what I gather. Anyways you’re giving me confidence to top plant earlier. I always wait 5-6 nodes.
@DmbTexasRanger, no it is technically an F2. Just different Phenos crossed again. Back cross would be crossed with one of the parents 🤙🏼 Both will work. I like to top this early to get an even canopy 🍀
I noticed that too, that it was too much. If your tap water already has a lot of it, it can quickly lead to an excess of calcium. Of course, it’s never transferable from one to the other, but I definitely wish you all the best and hope it comes back and in the end, you have thick buds. 😄
When I look at the leaves, I notice that it could almost be more of a calcium excess, but at the same time a magnesium deficiency. I think there’s also mono-magnesium without other additives, but hey, I don’t have that much experience yet, just a thought.
What also works great is BioTabs. For example, I don’t need any Cal-Mag-Whatever at all. 😜 Spread the Word! @Mia_BIOTABS
@Kushycat, thanks for your assessment. I’ll water without CalMg for now and then slowly ease into it. I haven't had this problem before. I think the Athena nutrient was either dosed incorrectly or doesn’t work well in combination with the other nutrients.
Mine had issues with CalMag in early flower too, rusting on a couple of leaves, even though I was giving it more than enough - I just continued as normal and she sorted herself out 👍🏻
