GanjaGecko Here we are following an F2 genetic from one of the legendary strains from RobinHoodSeeds by the breeder THC-Titan, who is also responsible for Square1Genetics. Frozen BAG is a strain that enjoys such high demand that this F2 descendant was sold out in less than 5 minutes after release. I'm really looking forward to the journey. It should be exciting.
The pre-germination took place for the first 24 hours again in CannaKan + heating mat. For the first 15 hours, the seeds were floating in CannaKan, then most of the water was drained for another 10 hours so that the seeds were only lying on the damp paper. After that, they went into seedling pots with a dome to ensure optimal environmental conditions. After 3 days in the seedling pot, the little FrozenBAG has seen the light of day.

GanjaGecko WEEK 1 // D1 - D7
Not much happened in week 1. The FrozenBAG was planted in a slightly larger seedling pot before it goes into the final fabric pot later. Up to this point, the focus has been on making sure the little lady is doing well and has everything she needs. I added 10g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding to the pot and some worm humus as a soil amendment and for quickly available micronutrients.

GanjaGecko In week 2, the Frozen Bag had a solid growth spurt. By the end of Veg week 2, the other tent was free, so the Frozen BAG could be repotted. It went into a 13L fabric pot. The young lady has made herself comfortable in the 60×60×160 cm DiamondBox under the Sanlight Q3W gen.2 with a maximum output of 120W.
The Sanlight Q3W is dimmed to 50% = 60W. This gives the Frozen BAG about 400ppfd now. The distance from the LED to the plant is 40cm. This setting will remain until the switch to 12/12.
The substrate mix in which the plant is cozy consists of about 80% BioBizz Lightmix and about 20% coco with perlite. Additionally, for soil improvement, there was
- 1 tsp/L Mega Worm
- 2g/L rock dust
- 5% BioChar
In the pot where the Frozen BAG found its place, the planting hole was previously sprinkled with some Great White Mycorrhiza and Dynomyco Mycorrhiza. On the surface, there were 60g of BioGrow from GreenHouseFeeding, which was well mixed into the substrate. The recommendation is 3-5g per L of substrate for a growth phase of 8 weeks. The soil was moistened before watering with a pressure sprayer/tree sprayer. Then, the young lady received 1ml/L PowerRoots, 1.5ml/L RootMaster, 2ml/L Alfaboost, 0.1ml Mono-Silicic, 0.8ml/L CalMagPro, 1ml/L PureZym, 1g/L BioEnhancer, and 0.75g/L Dynomyco Spark. At the beginning, there were 2× 200ml from above into the pot and another 200ml in the saucer. The pH was adjusted to 5.8 beforehand. Additionally, nematodes were added to the water to prevent the annoying fungus gnats.

GanjaGecko WEEK 3 // D15 - D21
At the beginning of week 3, the young lady received her topping and was cut above the 5th node. So far, the only noticeable thing is that the fresh leaves are leaning towards the ground at first. That resolves itself after a short time. So I'm not worried for now; the young lady looks good.

GanjaGecko WEEK 4 // D22 - D28
This week, the shoots were somewhat organized and two more shoots also received a topping. Here and there with a bit of LST to slowly help grow a little bush. This should help get the side shoots moving a bit. The lower two shoots were also removed. If at least one of the two cuts roots, the cutting will be kept until the flowering of the Frozen BAG F2 is done. If no cut roots, a few more cuts will be taken just before flowering, of course. I hope the stress pays off and we get a unique keeper🍀💚

@JackOfAllTrades, haha I didn't even see that post, I could have joined in with the cookies too xD I haven't tried the ice cream yet, I should keep an eye out for it. Is it super sweet? Then I'm out already 😹
You should grow on the cookies! Do you know the Biscoffi spread for bread, etc.? It tastes awesome somehow, but I don't need it that often, I'd rather have Nutella 😸
@GanjaGecko, you just have to set priorities. xD Speaking of other important things, you definitely got the email from Gas Station about the new Umami Seed Drop. Haha, I had to laugh so much, Cheetah Ritah I have to get just because of the name someday. Made my Day. 😹
@Kushycat, haha. Yeah, I noticed that. The name is definitely a hit. Unfortunately, nothing from this drop really excites me. The Kakashi was wild, but it sold out first 😄
Ah, the annoying cat again xD
So, you're growing in soil, but why are you going for such a low pH? Is that measured in the substrate or do you adjust it like that when watering? They seem to have quite a kick, like little rockets. 🚀 I'm curious!
@Kushycat, I have about 20% coco in the substrate. With 100% coco, you would water at 5.5 during veg and 6.0 during bloom. With soil, you water at 6.0 during veg, so I'm going slightly lower with the small amount of coco. And after watering with the BioEnhancer, the pH always goes up slightly. Even after adjusting the watering water. With the Wotan testers5, the pH in the soil climbed to 7.8 even though I always watered at 6.5. Wotan-tester2 were "only" just above pH 7. So I have to water them at pH 6.0 even though they are in bloom to slowly get back into the optimal range.
Yeah, probably the bloom will be initiated next week. Let's see how the side branches come along. 💪🏽
@GanjaGecko, Ah, you see, another day where I could learn something. 😄 During my first indoor grow, I initially made the mistake of not measuring at all. I thought it would be fine, even though I knew the pH was quite high here. Well, you can see the result. 😅
When it shoots up in the substrate like that, of course, it makes sense to stabilize the value again.
With BioTabs, they say you don't need to adjust the pH, but I do it anyway. At first, I only used BioBizz based on citric acid, which wasn't great because the pH rises again after a short time. Now I'm using one from T.A. that works with citric acid + phosphoric acid, and it's really good. Adjust the water, let it sit, and the next day it's still exactly the same value.
However, I always set it between 6.3–6.5 during the veggie phase. Well, long story short: Thanks for the explanation! :)
@Kushycat, haha yeah I don't dare to not adjust the pH value either🤣 You don't have to do it with GreenHouseFeeding either, but it happens every now and then. That's why I always adjust the pH value. In the veg phase, I also use citric acid, and in the 2nd week of flowering, I use phosphoric acid. Can't hurt during flowering😄
