So the Seedsman Northern lights auto wasn't liking the hydro or the perlite so what did I do??
Planted her into one of my vegetable garden beds and bugger me she's actually doing better ๐
We had two nice sunny days in a row and I used the extra warmth to add some heat to the soil by placing a piece of black plastic over the ground.
couple of days later I planted her in there and a few days after that ( Today) and she looks a lot happier than she had been.
My vegie gardens were all pre amended with worm castings , compost and manures back in August so they could mature over the winter.
Because of this I am only giving her a bit of seasol and ozi tonic which is full of fulvic and humic acids B vitamins etc
I will definately still need to provide cover for the plant at night until the last threat of Frost is over , which is next month normally.
Well thats about it Ive written enough about the basil so far in this diary so I'll leave it at that .
Thanks for checking out my diary
@ROM101, yes I use that one too but as good as it is I just can't bring myself to use it indoors with the hydro
because as you said it does stink like a dead fishes asshole ๐ bit like fresh dynamic lifter on a hot day Nothing Like it ๐๐
@DILLIGAF, they do a power feed as well it comes in a red bottle it's some super potent shit and smells like a dead fishes arsehole but it works amazing on vegies๐๐
@ROM101, thanks mate it tested my patience thats for sure
I think if I wasnt doing a diary on it I would have chopped it awhile back but should end up with something out of it
Hahahaha I saw the cover picture and thought that it looked like basil :P
I've got so much room in my tent (only 1 light right now) and am considering filling it with herbs/veggies.
I didn't even realise this was another one of your diaries! Hahaha happy growing again!
@DILLIGAF, that's quite the difference. I guess that's why the guys I was reading about used marigold, it handles from 6.0-7.5. It probably likes the nutrients more too being a flowering plant.
@Cheezy, I wouldn't plant the basil in with the weed simply because the basil likes a ph of 6.7 - 7.2 and
your weed likes it down around 6.2 -6.5 plus the basil only has fairly low nutrient needs
@DILLIGAF, that's good to know! Our house plants in the living room have attracted so many aphid looking things, thinking about letting loose a bag of ladybugs!
With the basil do you have to plant it in the same container? I've read companion planting marigold in this manner also increases resin production!
I love basil in a fresh eggplant parmesan or even Alfredo .I've only cooked once with weed oil olive in a past was blasted didn't like how strong I had made it lol learned a hard lesson . Anyways the girl looks very healthy in its home there..
