Growing up in a 2.3x2.3. Peat light mix. LED: 3000K Citizen CLU048-1212 3000K powered by Meanwell ELG-200-36 Strange plant. No matter what, the branches grow totally vertically! Every branch required training since day 1. Also, before maturity when the plant made symmetrical nodes, only one of each set of shoots would develop into a proper branch. The other one would stay very small, no exceptions. But it smells absolutely amazing when the stem is rubbed! So I'm giving this one to the 2x2. Let's see it flower. Soon. No fuss veg - will update weekly in flower. There's a bit of burnage due to the lights being to close for a shorter companion plant. That plant has been thrown out... it might make a return some day ๐Ÿ˜ Not many diaries of this one around. So give a shoutout if bubba kush saved your life or got you back with your ex wife. You can also check out Zambeza's Blueberry Cheese and Lemon Kush in my other diaries. Good luck everybody with the grows.

What are these bugs? (See the videos, last 2 entries in this week "7") I killed them with gnatrol WDG (bacillus thuringiensis, subsp. israelensis) They are white and small, long-bodied, with 2 antennae. Fast moving.

Hello my friend For me it's trhips A real headache, especially if the plants come from cuttings. This tiny insect moves very quickly, so we must act quickly to avoid giving it time to cause much damage. To prevent his arrival, you can spray Neem oil or black soap from time to time, but if he's already in action, we'll have to roll up our sleeves.๐Ÿ‘Š sYMPTOMS A good way to ensure that the crop is infested with thrips is to roll out yellow tape along the crop, as some insects will stick to it. You can also discover them if you notice silver marks on the surface of the leaves, sometimes accompanied by dots, which are the stool. Another indicator is the brittle appearance of the leaves, as the thrips sucks the chlorophyll without getting bored. Treatment Spraying again black soap or Neem oil is always useful to eradicate the pest, provided that the flowering process has not started yet. If it has already started, it is better to introduce predators, such as wasps or orius. These species are immune to the fungus "Verticillium lecanii" often contained in organic insecticides used against thrips, so we can spray in addition.๐Ÿ‘ Good luck for your grow May the force be with you๐Ÿ’ช

@Ganjaman420UK, Thanks mate!! I see that you had some struggles with the coco too. Well, I got these plants healthy but I decided to follow the manufacturer's instructions for flowering. Now after a few days I'm pretty sure that the PH was way too low. 5.5 might be a fine PH for growing but I had to add so much phosphoric acid that it was getting insane. One time after feeding I saw 5.3 PH. With peat it is evident that plants can do OK in high EC. I have had runoff of 3000ppm but those plants were growing better than these 3. peat has a terrific PH buffering ability. Good luck too you too! :)

@Ganjagrandaddy, Thanks GGD for the many usage tips! All is noted :-) "the community are on it like a bonnet pushing limits as usual" Haha this had me laughing, so true. I'm gonna give her a try as a one-part and see how it goes! I'm planning to make a stock solution of about 50g in a liter bottle of 0ppm water. Just waiting on some gamma seal lids for 5gal buckets so I can close it as air-tight as possible. I read the MC can get clumpy from attracting moisture over time. Yeah Dinafem seem solid, and Mark is a great community person. If you are looking for something specific he can help. What impressed me was the accuracy of their descriptions, and they are also adding cannabinoid tests to the seed pages. They have some unique plants like Moby Dick and Purple Afghan Kush which are pretty famous. Moreover they are coming with these "quick" strains. Quick Gorilla, Quick Critical and some kind of quick Kush. These are crosses of a normal plant with its autoflowering version, which are said to produce photoperiodic plants that flower significantly quicker. The critical is said to flower in 49 days All the best to you too in 2020 my friend!

@BillMonroe,Megacrop is made up as you need it for hand watering. It is very good but strong. if you stick to the recommended dosage for the week your in ( unusual to be able to trust them and not about using as much of their product as you can to buy more !) . If you get tip burn , back off the measurement by .5 g . If not all green and lush , add .5 . such a simple mix and use too. I premix it and make sure the white balls are dissolved before adding to the main mix. They are solid like chalky lumps but dissolve very quickly. you will love this stuff mate. wait till you see how green and healthy it makes things. I make up 10L buckets as I need them. You can choose to add stuff but need to be mindful of the NPK load and balance. It is designed for 1 part beginning to end but the community are on it like a bonnet pushing limits as usual.lol I have been using silicon and calmag to balance it into range again with slight reduction of MC by 1g to stated dose. also using pk warrior 9/18 boost at 6ml for mid flowering with good results and only a slight tip burn. Welcome to the green world and mega veg growth Bill. Always watched dinafem with an interest too. thanks for the recommendations. keep it green mate. i do videos to avoid too many pics now. far easier to talk than type.lol and it is better for seeing the girls live too. get a better perspective I think. I have had small buds that in photos could be mistaken for huge main colas but in reality are just close ups.!. Keep it green matey happy new year and green crops for 2020

Hi! Sad to see you don't want to buy our products. Every company hides their specific formula. But we state the NPK on our websites and on most of the bottles. We try to be as transparant as we can be, without giving price our succesfull formulas. However, we can guarantee you that our products are 100% safe. As for the higher Ec values. Various research points out that higher EC effects the BRIX value in a good way, which means better taste and yield. But over fertilization is never a good plan.

@Plagron Service Service, And for posterity: if I could rate the medium on GD I would give it 6 out of 5 stars. The coco is truly a high quality product and when I tested it using a slurry it came out with the exact values. So I will add a shoutout to the review for you I wonder if lots of phosphoric PH down maybe causes problems. I noticed that I needed quite a bit of PH- to get to the recommended 5.5. When I used less PH- and 6.0-6.4 the plants started to perform much better.

@Plagron Service, Hi Steven! Thanks for the reply to my somewhat obnoxious review ;) You know, I have good results with Plagron products, and PLagron is not the only company guilty of this, so maybe it is a bit unfair to single out Plagron. However my point remains the same - actually I was on call once with the company and they did not want to share some basic information, like whether products X or Y contain calcium. That's kind of crazy to me. I would totally understand if some "secret sauce" additives like triacontanol or anything else outside the 'required elements' are kept proprietary. But with a product like terra bloom the user has no idea if a plant is even getting manganese from the nutrients, while even supermarket bottles of fertilizer are able to list a complete analysis down to Zn, Cu, etc. Of course, those micro elements are probably present in the Plagron peat mixes and tap water, and I understand the products are intended to be used together like that. Still, maybe Plagron could take some steps to provide a little more information or transparency for people like me, or some others here on growdiaries... I think it would help I'm also trying Megacrop, a complete dry 1-part, who list everything that's in there. It reassures me that I can just chuck it on the plants and not have to worry about if something's missing. Maybe I sound like a person who likes to tweak nutrients, but actually I don't, and that's one reason why I went with Plagron always. Their products are simple (not 12 bottles) and fairly priced. if Plagron could provide some more information like Megacrop (for example) does, that would be very excellent. Anwyay Steven, your reply is appreciated, and also your online presence. Personally I hope plagron can move towards a more transparent approach in this trend of legalization/decriminalization. And if they can make a dry powder 1-part nutrient that would be very awesome!

Hello my friend๐Ÿ˜‰ Nice culture - I answered your question for your nuisance problem.๐Ÿ‘ If the answer suits you do not forget the validated one. If your problem concerns I advise you a teaspoon of soft black soap diluted in a liter of lukewarm water and add 2 drops of neem oil there is a detailed explanation in week 4 of my diary First gg growdiaries.com/diaries/37847-first-gg-fastbuds I urge you to consult it it will be a pity you spoil a beautiful run May the strength be with you ๐Ÿ’ช

@BillMonroe, hello bro to your neem oil adds a teaspoon of soft black soap diluted in a quart of lukewarm water, the soft black soap will make the neem oil better mixed with water once the solution is warmed ambient sprinkle your leaves above and below and the surface of your substrate.๐Ÿ‘ Do not spray the flowers as the leaves ๐ŸŒฑ May the strength be with you ๐Ÿ’ช

@Master_weeda, Thx mate =) I was confused that there were so many in the medium, as far as I knew trips lay the eggs in leaves and eat the leaves I used some BAC plant vitality and Gnatrol and that killed them all instantly.. planning to repeat it Might use some Neem too :) I did see one or 2 leaves with the thrips damage (slimy looking spots) and I did find a crawler on a leaf. Hopefully it doesn't get out of hand

pulling out the Kush guns in the house. do love me some Kush. cookie Kush from Barneys is the most "as it says on the tin" I have tried ever. like a biscuit barrel being opened. lol. looking good to go. What is the peat , is it no nutes or do you have to feed still.
BillMonroe
BillMonroe
@Ganjagrandaddy, Right on, Thanks for the heads up, I am definitely on the lookout for some great kushes! The stuff I have used for all this time until now is Lightmix from Plagron, Designed for feeding with minerals - it's basically the same products as the Canna Terra stuff (more common in the UK I think). It is a one-part and the nutrient is extremely basic. I've not had troubles with it, but the runoff water is not informative and you just don't know really how hot your mix is after a couple of feeds. One time I flushed a plant and it came out at 5000 ppm, lol. That said it's a magnificent product which should bring success to anyone. I can't fault it except for the fact that it gets so hydrophobic (rejects water when dry). All plants love to grow in it, it is forgiving, and you can chuck nutes without PHing if you use your mix for only 1 cycle
