Just RO water from here on out. No more nutrients. Going to let them use everything up in the soil and leaves. I will run a flush next week to help clean up the residual ppm still in the soil. The plants are crazy strong smelling. Almost done. Then it will be time to cut them down and let them dry for 7-10 days

Anyone have a feeding schedule for Autoflowers in Fox Farm soil? I know im not suppose to feed them for the first dew weeks till they use up the nutrients already in the soil. I have General Hydroponics 3 part. A bottle of Cal-Mag and great white mycorrhizae. Thanks for looking.

Hey man I personally use fox farm ocean forest soil and yes the soil is good for about the first month of growing in it but after I feed 1/2 strength fox farm trio. Either way I would say that feeding schedules are not needed unless you got a big garden. I say learn as many deficiencies and excessive nutrient issues so you can tend to each plant to their needs (more or less nutes). Good luck man they look good.

Hi @Rad406ci! Warning: FoxFarm soil is known to be very hot, I've seen a lot of growers burning their plants with it and I see you're also experimenting a slight Nitrogen toxicity. I won't use any nutrients unless the plants are asking for it, you will easily notice and fix a CalMag deficiency or a Nitrogen deficiency, whereas it can be very difficult to get rid of a toxicity once it has happen. With autoflowers, less is more, simple is better. Hope this will help, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information. Happy growing! 👊

Start off by 1/2 strength of the manufacturer recommendation. And only go up if the plant needs it. And the gh trio will get great results. There is a feed chart at growweedeasy.com for gh trio that will get a great harvest. Good luck

Hey everyone, another quick question. I am watering with RO water. I feed every 3rd or 4th watering. In between feedings I will be only adding cal-mag with my RO water. Is there a progressive PPM scale i should follow or not exceed for plant age/size

@Fitzwell, Thank you
Fitzwell
Fitzwell
@yoooooo, I add cal mag first and I only add 50 -150 ppm to my RO water

@yoooooo,I wouldn’t go over 1000 but again that is the food for the plant as well I think of it as calories lol

She's not ready you can still feed her some more. I would feed her another week then see where she stands. Feed her every other watering. When about 50% of the white pistils are drying and have turned orange is when you should start checking the trichome color. It will change from clear to cloudy/milky then to amber. Most growers are harvesting when they have about 5% to 30% amber trichomes. If you check your trichomes now with a 40x led lighted jewelers loupe(Amazon .com) you will see mostly clear with some half cloudy trichomes. I'm guessing but you may have at least 2+ weeks left before harvest going by your current photos. The buds usually put on the most weight during this time.

@yoooooo, What's the worse thing that could happen they get fatter? I my first Afghani grow I flushed a bit soon it actually took another three weeks before I harvested her so I could have gotten another week of feeding in on her. It's really tough to guestimate when you really need to flush. Right now I typically shoot for at least 10 days to flush them. Not all strains are the same.

@Philindicus, took your advice. Fed her 3.75ml of micro, 7.5ml of bloom and 4ml of sweet. For about 500ppm. I will look at it again next week and reassess. Thanks for the help

@yoooooo, It's your grow so it's your call she'll probably fatten up anyways during your flush

Is there more than one plant? I would treat them all differently they may not all be ready at the same time. One looks further along than the rest by your photos. If any still have all white pistils keep feeding them nutes. The one with the dried pistils looks like its getting closer. Hard for me to tell whats up but it's your call.

@yoooooo, It's better to wait until you see mostly cloudy/milky with some amber trichomes showing up. My last grow I had 1 ripen early and a couple that took longer than the rest. It's just a matter of waiting. You have five plants to play with you can harvest them at differnt stages see which you like better. The one with the dried pistils looks nice you can see the calyx are starting to plump up like little grapes which is good this means shes gaining more weight so your closer to harvest

@Philindicus, there is 5 plants. The one with all orange hairs has no amber tricomes(sp) still ok to chop? Or wait till I see some amber.

Looks great she's starting to get frosty! I would give her some GH Liquid Kool Bloom 0-10-10 the extra phosphorus and potassium will help build and bulk up those buds. Use half strength nutes. Are you using GH flora bloom? You should be dropping floragrow this week you don't need the extra nitrogen at this point of bloom. https://gh.growgh.com/docs/Feedcharts/GH_FloraSeries-DTW_03216am.pdf

@Philindicus, yes I'm using bloom. Just forgot to add it to the diary list. Thanks for reminding me.

But maybe feed once a week for sure like every Monday or something as most nutrients have a routine on the box but I usually cut everything they say in half so if it says use 5ml I use 2 if it says feed this amount week 2-5veg I cut it in half

@visco, Grow diaries only has an option for how much water per 24hrs. I only water like once every 5 days. And then I just water till I get run off at the botton. Then I don't water again till the bucket feels lite

Also are you using LED lights? The color looks a bit purple/blue heavy. You should be using more red for bloom.
