Was going to start this with a full grow of four but had some serious problems germing, one of five made it so we doing the one.
Outdoor grow as the strain seems to love it outside and sunlight SHOULD be a bit more dependable than it was in May and June... we hope.
D14 Moving her outside for the day she has the droops and I am not sure why so changing the environment as they seem to like it outdoors.
7/21 D17 Root building seems to have paused for a while and vegetative growth begun again over night.
Keeping outside as much as possible so splitting a 20 hr cycle between the LEDs (12 hrs) and direct sun (8 hrs) with 4 hours in the dark.
7/27 D23 Outside plant now as inside tent is full seriously considering forgoing FIM as its just not taking off yet.
7/30 D26 She really taking off now so not going to slow it down with any training of any sort. May be the last time I grow this strain so want to see it au natural. Great weather BTW finally
8/1 D28 Ending week four and she is going into flower, glad I did not FIM at this point as she does not seem to be large enough. Hoping for explosive growth as I have seen from this strain twice before. Here is hoping
On the same feeding schedule as the ATF so last was Bloom/Si/Rchrg , 3 liters
Next full , will be last feed of Kangaroots and Grow-Big so they will drop off
8/3 D31 Had a new growth leaf go half yellow half green similar to that tobacco virus we been hearing about, didn't think much of it till I spotted one on another plant nearby. Removed leaves and watching all. Oddly no water today
8/4 Fed and no more odd stuff so far.
8/8 All ok
Life goes on just get it as much sun as we can rainy weather over the next 3 days so not much will be happening.
Dropped Grow Big added Bio-Grow as I will continue this for a while longer as it gets the same nuets as the ATF
8/12 No feeding today with the ATF, just didnt need the water. Next Full feed
8/13 D40 No feed yet, humidity was high with rain, prob full feed tomorrow.
8/14 Light (1.5 liter) main feed
8/15 D42 End of the week
Thanks BioBizz this one is also growing so much better than just a few days ago.
Its a keeper
8/23 All is well and a little distraction into oddness
8/25 satisfied with her progress in flower, no fade anywhere ever but this strain does not fade hard. Running her as long as she will go and keeping a steady supply of nuets to her, gotta love organic
PS Zombie Quasimodo continues to build colas and first buds with a monster-cropped kind of look. Our little diversion into the odd is actually giving me ideas about monster cropping in the future, bud sites almost everywhere on the branches. pic later
8/28 D54
Still going and building bud
Fed a 1 to 3 mix of biogrow and bloom nothing else
The zombie is still kicking looking well if odd
Adjusted the nuet list to reflect reality at this point dont see need for anything else.
8/31 Still building and looking well so will keep doing what we are, just keep her happy for a few more weeks ;)
9/1 Still not feeding till tomorrow thinking last use of Recharge and Bio-Bloom
9/4 Day 61 Looks good this morning pics later
9/7 Re-adding Big Bloom (Fox Farms) to nuet mix, plants seem to be missing it and I agree. Once a week at 3 tps/gal
9/8 D65 Seems our "good" weather is ending and if the forecast is correct for the next three days, only three of the last ten were sunny.
That aint good folks not sure what can be done about it outside of artificial light and that would go on the ATF if any were available.
Ah well learning is fun
She looks good just needs some blasted sun
Zombie is thriving, go figure
Full feed yesterday
9/10 Sunless days continue, maybe two hours sun today then the rain moved in and the temp dropped... global warming my arse
The forecasts were correct now I can only hope that continues as it is forecast for much better the next 2 days and then right back to this mess.
9/11 Yep today was a big improvement glad to have it
9/13 Day 70
New vids, top dressing seems to have triggered a new run of bud building on both Gloria and zombie Quasimodo (cant kill some of these Mex Air plants). The moster crop growth pattern is interesting as hell just letting it grow. Gloria looks to be building a basketball bud on top :)
Weather degrading harvest in a couple weeks max trics say same
New week while I have time, Gloria looking fair but weather has taken a very cool wet turn, lots of clouds maybe 2-3 hours good direct sun at best.
So I am clearing out the tent and while its idle for a few days putting her under the light more to prevent any bud rot than bud growth.
Zombie Quas looking... well I have nothing to compare it to but its healthy so far and turning into a mass of bud, gotta watch this. Monstercropping not so good outdoors :)
Plants say a week till to harvest. Gloria is on water and light sugar only till then, Quas will get whatever I throw at it, things a tiny beast.
Love it
9/22 Due to the best we can hope for is 20% sun for the next few days she is moved under the lights in the big tent. Can stay there about a week and hope this mess clears by then.
The little beast Zombie Quas says the weather is fine and thinks Gloria is a wimp...💪
9/23 0.5 gal feed of 3ml/g bio-bloom
well decided to get her some light and harvest on the other side of the weather... if rumors of clearing hold ;)
9/24 Back outside, a little marginal today but I need the tent. Harvest later this week
9/27 Busy day harvest report later have to get all kinds of stuff done ahead of the snow this weekend.
Sorry for brevity we have been going non-stop trying to get all the produce harvested ahead of the freeze.
Well she did her best in a difficult growing season, cold and the lack of sunshine had its effects we could not get around, Still she produced and that in the end is what is important.
Next year we will do better :)
Now for Zombie Quasimodo - she had to be harvested ahead for the freeze tonight and yielded 51g wet, Nice considering we already harvested this plant for few ounces weeks ago and we just noticed green in the compost heap... not including her in the total as she was an experiment and proof that if the germination rates were good this strain would be fantastic.
54 grams dry almost and I mean almost lost the main bud to bud rot, one more day or two and it would have been worthless.
As it was lost a few grams like all the outdoor plants. crap hides from you
@rhodes68, I STSed it barely got pollen I think I used it on a GSC ill see if i can save any of its features and add some bulk to it.
LST is good but for outdoors I am not sure there's a point unless you have a big branchy mofo like my Sour Sheriff auto (popped March 15 indoors it's still not done outside my IG is ModyNYC i have pics there)
then what I do is I hand bend it everyday til it forms shape.
Hmm I am 4/4 for Fast Buds. I order 1 seed at a time lol too expensive.
Fridge the seed for at least 24 hours. Always wait till it reaches room temp inside something, then RO water glass shot 1 day or less if it taps, then soil and that's it.
@GYOweed,
I had 10 seeds of it, only three germed well enough to make it.
Two I LSTed and this one I just let grow, was kind of disgusted with things at that point. LST does help
The bud is great all their sativas are, but all the sativas have issues of one kind or another particularly in germ.
Mex Air 30%
Stardawg 40%
Green Crack 50% Though I have not been though all the seeds yet and it yield like crazy so keeping that one
The others ... nope
That is just all out of line with indicas from FB which I have found pretty decent
@Welovephattrees420uk,
Its a bit more complex than that but your point of cloudy days not being a waste is of course correct.
Better than a grow light? Absolutely, if its shining. If not there is no comparison.
However, when you get too many cloudy days, especially consecutively, well... shit starts going sideways and nothing will correct it but light.
BTW no sun here means a drop of 20 deg F or so and then a little thing called Growing Degree Days* comes into play, look it up
*edit changed the brain fart to Growing Degree Days which is the correct term, it is a function of solar heat on plants.
@Welovephattrees420uk,
Thanks
Gloria is looking pretty good, its good genetics.
The Zombie was a bit of a goof, but damned if it aint going to produce bud. Pics on that tomorrow
@Dahoola,
Thanks I am hoping it goes another month at least, no fade no signs of finishing at all.
Gloria is a pretty plant if small.
Zombie Quasimodo is an experiment, its been in the compost heap a month and still kicks back in, just waiting to see what happens ;)
@Philindicus,
Yeah we more excited about the zombie, Gloria is a really nice plant but nothing very unusal about it just a little Mex-Ait, but the zombie... its just all bud and a freeze is coming soon. So nice little bonus.
