Plant is still stretching which I'm glad about, hopefully will get a few more inches until full flower commences. Overall happy with thIs strain so far, has been real easy to grow and hopefully will yield well also.

Thanks for the commemts chaps, Yh that's the assumption I made also, I think I will use the root riots next time, I have seen them dry out a lot faster than grodan, I just thought as I have 4 air stones in one bucket it would be OK but I Guess the bubbles are able to penetrate the cube, I just hope it sets the growth back and it doesn't start flowering in the next week.

BigDaddyKcommented7 years ago
@Auto_King,can you post a picture of the bucket ? Is it home made or shop bought ? I didn't have much time before , but do the netpots touch the water ? I DWC and there can be a few issues if the roots don't have a little space before they hit the water .

I had grown two White Trains among three that stinked pretty hard! Even a g stinks up cars easily ^^ Mephisto genetics has some great smelling strains, most of them are avarage tho. Those crossed with Fantasmo Express might produce some sweet flavours. What I want to say is, the reason you are not getting enough flavours cannot always be contributed to your techniques... I had grown 6 Mephisto's, two of them really stinks as I stated. Others are pretty avarage, not unique in any terms... EDIT: OH WHY DO YOU USE THE FJGKIN BUD CANDY??!? That's what gives the buds the same, awful aroma and might block all the good flavors your plants may or may not produce... You can not know this if you are not familiar with the strain... I used it once when i first began growing and i hated their aroma... all pretty much same. later i received some buds from a grower who used the same product. same awful aroma and flavours... :( its just sad.

@Auto_King, what kind of water do you use? Try using less nutrientd and better quality water (ro preferably). You might try coco with canna nutrients. I got really awesome results with canna as for taste and smell. Some i didnt even flush, no smell of nutes and they had pretty good aroma and taste.

@Kvothe, Thanks for your comments, first time with mephisto and first time using bud candy, for the exact reason I am failing at, I was hoping it would bring the smell out but as before to no avail, really pissing me off, I just want some Stinky buds.

Lovely looking buds mate , ๐Ÿ˜€how long you dry and cure ? I have issues certain strains for flavour ๐Ÿ˜€
Fergie
Fergiecommented7 years ago
@Auto_King, I always find with fruity variety can take a bit longer to get that pungent smell I am looking for , do you use humidity packs in curing jars ?
Auto_King
Auto_Kingcommented7 years ago
@Fergie, Buds look good and are fairly dense, drying and curing as above

@Auto_King, damn that's a shame dude your skills deserve more, loving that lst you did, how you drying as I heard if you use the paper bag method it locks in the smell and flavour so I'm going to give that a try for my first time

How do you dry your plant how long do flush for how often do you feed nutes I'll try see if I can help
Auto_King
Auto_Kingcommented7 years ago
@biggreens420, Slow dry for around 6 days, when it's crispy on the outside I seal it in a jar for 24 hours which draws the moisture out of the stalk, then 24 hours out again then back into jars for curing, have only ever cured for around 3 weeks max as its gone by then, u know how it is supply and Demand

@@Tryhard, Many thanks my man, Yh this is All experimental atm, as long as I get at least 2 zips off this one I will be happy, already no a few things to do next time to prevent slow veg growth, and increase overall size.

Ps week 1-2 I'm 300 ppm less is more ๐Ÿ‘
Auto_King
Auto_Kingcommented7 years ago
@BigDaddyK, Buckets are home made, just 10l Food grade buckets with a 6" net pot, ppm may not be correct as my meter was giving sporadic readings therefore its been chucked and now waiting for new one to arrive, yes your thinking is correct, there is a 2cm gap between the water and net pot however the cube was sat right at the bottom meaning it was saturated, now have around 8cm from water to cube.

It's because you in rock wool , I found it stays saturated , and if there isn't enough oxygen you will get stem rot . ๐Ÿ‘€
